Neffsville Plumbing & Heating

Our AC was not cooling like it should and I called Neffsville as our neighbor had used them for years and was always pleased. They had a tech out fairly quickly(1 star for that). But within 15 min of coming in he diagnosed the issue - "needs new capacitor, but you should probably put in super booster as well to help it work better." Wanting AC on hot day and having elderly husband with health issues, we agreed to $806 charges. (I requested the old parts, looked online and those two items totaled less than $30.) At end of day AC still not working.

He came back out and was going to charge us several hundred more for freon as it wasn't holding pressure and there was most likely a leak in the unit somewhere, which could cost several thousand $$$ to find the leak. I told him not to bother I was not putting anymore $$$ into it. It was settled - 13 year old system was done. Their estimator came out and quoted new system and they would "return our $806 cost in that price" but even with that refund their quote was $2500 more than the unit we settled on, fortunately with another vendor.

I felt we got sucked in to their charges being elderly and not knowing any better - our fault. Question: If the original unit did not have a "super booster" ($300) why do you suddenly need one when you are replacing the capacitor? Pushing the sales and the $$$!

Our experience with Neffsville plumbing and heating was wonderful! From our first interaction on the phone to our great technician! Nick was quick and efficient, and answered all of our questions as well as giving us recommendations for the future health of our equipment. Justin and his team did a great job. He was able to get out the day I called about my sewer problem. His team was out within 2 days to fix the issues. They did a great job. Neffsville Plumbing and Heating did an amazing job with our tankless water heater install. From the start of the process receiving multiple quotes with no pressure and time to review and decide. Before they arrived to do the work we were very informed ahead of time when to expect them to come. They arrived on time as expected, wore protective shoe covering within the house and layed out blankets to protect the floors where they were working.

The did a fantastic job and were very informative about the new equipment when they were done. The did a thorough cleanup job when they were done. We could not be happier with Neffsville Plumbing and Heating and could not recommend them more for your plumbing needs. Chris and his partner did an amazing job!

I needed a Mini-split system, and called multiple places to see what options were available. Neffsville Plumbing & Heating was the best customer service from the start, and the good customer service didn't stop there. The sales representative and install team were great. I had my new system within a week of the quote, and couldn't be happier.

My gas water heater started leaking. I called Neffsville in the morning, a crew came out 30 minutes later and replaced with a new gas water heater by 1 o'clock. I got a better than normal quality heater and the install was great. I'm not real informed on pricing of water heaters and labor so I can't address the pricing with any certainty. However, I was looking for quality and professionalism and I believe I got what I paid for.

I had a leak at the water meter inside my house where the supply line enters the house from the outside. I had never needed a plumber on an emergency basis before. I called Neffsville Plumbing and heating and they sent Tyler out within an hour. He patched the problem temporarily until the city could come out the next day with a new meter. Turned out the city couldn't install the meter so I had to call Neffsville plumbing again.

They were nice enough to send Tyler out almost immediately. I was amazed at their quick response. Tyler took care of the problem and repaired a few other things that my old plumbing needed. I can't say enough good things about Tyler and the people I spoke with on the phone. Very professional outfit, and I definitely recommend Neffsville Plumbing and heating!

Tyler came out and replaced my toilet for me today and did a great job. He set me up with a much more comfortable toilet as well, instead of just throwing the same type on there. He also noticed the valve was outdated and replaced that for me as well! And then to go above and beyond, on his way out, I have a step that had a loose board. He took a couple screws and fixed my step!

It's nice to see there are people out there who will go that extra step to help someone out. I truly appreciated that! They quoted me a 7000 to do a repair job. Then I got Ray's plumbing to do it and payed only 1500 dollars. Always get a second opinion for those guys.

Being a new homeowner, any unforeseen repairs can seem daunting, but the team at Neffsville Plumbing & Heating made everything easy and understandable. Everyone was very friendly and personable, even after a very long day of service. After reviewing my initial concerns with the leaking garbage disposal and dishwasher were addressed, a thorough inspection of the remaing water system determined that additional areas did not work or not work correctly. A few service options were presented detailing the various levels of repair and I never felt pressured to purchase a service.

Many thanks to the team at Neffsville Plumbing! Their service was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous-from start to finish. Within a half an hour from my emergency call, there was a technician at my door. Two days later, everything was finished! No hassle whatsoever. Truly a wonderful experience! Have used this company a couple of times and always appreciate how friendly and knowledgeable everyone is. Their techs work late into the night. When my boiler went down they came out at 9 to try and fix it. I eventually needed a new furnace put it which is going strong. They installed and removed it all in 2 days and loaned me out space heaters for the week and a half after I signed the contract until they installed.

Today I called them for an estimate on a pipe that rusted out and was leaking. Tyler got here quickly and was able to talk me through the estimate and what needed to get done in layman's terms which is nice to get as a first time home owner. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for reliable, friendly and thoughtful professionals who can get the job done.

Service was simply amazing. This job required visits from 2 technicians over 2 days. Every appointment was on time, covid concerns were addressed concerning safety. The technician who did the work was great. He found that the job could be finished in less time and saved me nearly 1000$ on the repair. 100% will hire again.

Tyler was courteous, friendly and professional despite being surrounded by my 3 large dogs. He carefully listened to our issue and asked the right questions. Tim arrived right on time on Sunday morning for an emergency main sewage line clog. He was friendly to my dog that greeted him at the door and quickly resolved any covid protocol concerns. He diagnosed the issue and thoroughly went over the steps he was going to take along way to resolve my issue and restore a functioning bathroom to my house. He also provided me upfront pricing that each step would be.

He was able to resolve the issue and pricing remained accurate. Now my family can take warm showers again! I highly recommend Neffsville and Tim. I called on Saturday and less than 24 hours later the issue is resolved! That is amazing service on a weekend! Neffsville and Tim are people you can trust!

Great experience overall! Noticed a leak in my 18 year old hot water heater (yes I know it should have been replaced 10 years ago, duh me) on Saturday and Brad came out on Sunday and replaced it! Home inspection should be a valid assessment of what needs to be repaired not an overhaul of things that are working fine and need a new shine to them!. This reputable company has gone down hill-. Is it the new out of town owners trying to take, take, take? Tisk, tisk on you. Beware.

My hot water heater burst and I had water issues in my basement. I called several plumbers. The only plumber available for that day service was Neffsville Plumbing. Now I know why. The service tech was scripted with testing my water and trying to sell a new water softner before we even spoke about replacement costs. Then came the worst part, the cost of the install and water heater.

If you get the 1 year service plan it is less because they offer a "generous" 10% discount on the parts. That being said with the discount, the cost to install a new 50 gallon water heater with a 6 year warranty was $2800.00. I only needed a 40 gallon which is what I had but the cost between was basically the same. At the time I was stressed out and did not do my homework.

The cost was over the top. When I spoke with the manager about the cost he said that the cost of their overhead such as the managers, building, service tech and parts were all figured into the cost. I would like to be fair but I didn't need to pay for all that overhead. Very frustrated with myself for choosing this company and not doing my homework.

Buyer beware - they will do the same job as the little guy down the street for about double the cost. Not to mention that they even will say that with the exception of telling you that their service and products are better quality. Also, when the old water heater was pulled out it leaked a brown gunk on my wooden basement steps. The mess was left there and not cleaned up immediately so I ended up cleaning it up before anyone would walk on it and carry it through my house or grind it in.

The manager said that the tech would have cleaned it up but I didn't wait for that to happen. Guess I just don't like the thought of that stuff drying into my steps or being carried through my house. Feeling very foolish.

Very unethical and deceptive practices (possibly illegal). We used Neffsville plumbing for 2 years, spent over 20k on a new hvac system and normal plumbing repairs and maintenance. We sold the home about a year after having work performed by Neffsville. They mislead the new owners of the home to pressure them into performing 14k of mostly unnecessary work to the septic system.

We have 1 invoice from work we had completed from Neffsville which was altered when they provided the same invoice to the new owner. (We have copies of all invoices). Neffsville also claimed to the new owners (in writing) on a quote that we had called them out in the past for service "several times for previous issues with the septic system". We NEVER had any issues with the actual septic system.

One time while they were out for replacing a toilet they said "we could also quote you for replacing your internal iron septic pipes in the basement to pvc because someday you will need to do it". They were trying to pressure us into replacing the iron pipes which likely had another 10-15 years (or more) of life left. I said " Okay go ahead and give us quote" just to make them happy.

We were also supposed to be refunded approx. $180.00 over 6 months ago which they keep telling us "the check is in the mail" and should receive in the next couple weeks. One positive is they actually do very good work but you will pay more than most all of their competition. If I felt they were even close to being trustworthy we would still be using them even at their high prices.

Brendon was a friendly and compenent serviceman. We were in a jam when our hot water heater began leaking and soon water was all over the floor. Of course this happened on a Friday afternoon. Being a longstanding customer of Brubaker Plumbing for over 30 years we of course called them for help. To my suprise I was told no one could come until. monday. when asked if there are any servicemen on standby for weekend emergencies, the answer was no.

I then called Neffsvile Plumbing and got an appointment for Sat. at 8 oclock. and guess what Brendon arrived at 8 oclock! Great service, and a good job. Guess who will not be our plumbing & heating service anymore.

We signed up to be members at Neffsvile, pay so much a year to have priority scheduling and free of trip charge. all good. Until we had a water main break and they came out to fix it. Sure they fixed it the next day to the tune of $8176. Being young unknowing homeowners, we accepted it, and had it fixed (along with muddy foot prints to the carpet. downstairs).

I wish I would have gotten a second estimate, as we have found from neighbors and other construction workers we were taken over the coals. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone. They are prompt, they are friendly, but when it comes to price they will take advantage of you.

Professional, honest, respectful, punctual, courteous, knowledgeable. Aaron was one of the nicest techs I have ever had come to my home. No high pressure for anything, just honest evaluation and customer service skills. It's why I had a part replaced immediately that Aaron said was showing signs of wear and that might cause a problem in future. Highly recommend this technician for HVAC work.

Sad to write this review as the techs are local and it is a local company. I pay for both customer convenience plans, the plumbing and the heating. which were recently rewritten and downgraded, though the cost wasnt. AND they charge you a "minimum" fee for showing up anyway.$140 I think) That said, the service was fast, but and its a big but, they quoted me $1400 to get my AC system up and running when it went out during a week of 90 degree heat.

It is an old system and I know it needs to be replaced, so of course I was hesitant to put so much into an aged system, and therefore considered a new system. Thankfully, my son is an electrical engineer, and he was able to order a new board for $140. and install it within an hours time, which restored my service. I think this is disgraceful to quote $1400 for a $140 part with a 1 hour install (and it was only a one hour install as my son had to read the documentation to get familiar with the furnace set up, actual board switch out was probably 15 minutes.) I could have understood a $300 or even $400 cost for this. But $1400? They have lost me.

Way over priced. They charged 400 to change a water valve on the toilet I had told the tech what I specifically needed as I had diagnosed it myself but did not want to deal with plumbing myself. Big mistake the call took 2 hours and charged me an exorbitant rate for something that costs less than 10 bucks at Home Depot. I will say they are courteous prompt and thorough but at that markup it's just not worth it. Never again!

Absolute rip off of a business. My husband accidentally flushed a plastic toilet bowel cleaner so we called to have it removed. The plumber was very friendly but our choices were to snake it for $300 and he told us there is 95% chance it will blow out the toilet. Or just replace the entire toilet for $990. A great toilet cost $200 and takes about a half hour to install.

In what world would replacing a toilet cost $1000!? We didn't do either, called another plumber. He came and snaked the drain and pulled out the piece within 5 minutes. Cost us $60 for a house call.

Highly unethical company!.We called them to fix our heating system last year because the heating would not turn on, they came in looked at the heating unit for ten minutes and said it was not a good unit and it should be replaced!.once I told them that they were the company that sold us and put in the unit, !they didn't know what to say. I sent them packing because I could tell I was being scammed!.I called another company and it was fixed for $125 in about 15 minutes. Avoid Neffsville plumbing and heating at all costs.you will be sorry if you do!

The technicians convinced me that my furnace was too damaged to get fixed and was even a hazard. They sent me someone to get a quote for a new one right away. 5 days before Christmas with freezing outside temperatures. Timing was key. It is the price that drew our attention. We looked it up and it seemed way overpriced. I now know that it was more than doubled.

I made a lot of phone calls and found someone able to fix my furnace within 1 hour for $75 instead of the $8000 asked by Neffsville Plumbing. Not onky it was very easily fixable, but there was no hazard issue: measurements confirmed that.

Dishonest and unethical is how I would describe this company based on my experiences. Please save yourself the mistake that my family made my trusting this company. In 2013 my family purchased an HVAC unit from Neffsville with a 10 year warranty and 12 year service warranty. When the unit broke, not only did the company lie to me and say that the HVAC unit was not covered under the 10 year manufacturer's warranty, but it refused to honor the service warranty.

I called another company, presented that company with the same facts, and that company said my unit was under a 10 year warranty. Meanwhile Neffsville was trying to sell me a whole new unit. I spoke to management at Neffsville and gave them a chance to correct the situation, but they were dismissive and stood behind their dishonest and creepy technician.

On another occasion I had Neffsville give me an estimate on water heaters and felt like their sales team engaged in some unethical practices. Save yourself from getting lured in by this company. If your experience is like mine, you will regret it.

My review is based on my experience with this company several years ago. I had a hot water heater go out, so I needed a quick fix. They were prompt and the work they did was good, but I paid the price. They had a binder filled with pricing they shared. I had sticker shock as others have mentioned. After the work was completed, I looked into other plumbing services and I'm certain I paid at least double what other companies charge. I've warned others, now I warn you. My recommendation.go elsewhere.

Pros: quickly responsive during an emergency. Professional technicians Didn't get the job done the first time but made it right the second time and did a good job Cons: Cost (very expensive) - they were up front about the cost, but I had some sticker shock. I went with them anyway because I wanted the problem take care of immediately.

This place charged me 386.00 to sweat off a 2 inch copper fitting from a copper water pipe and put a new copper fitting on. The part was about 5 bucks at Lows and it took their service rep 45 minutes. I couldn't turn my water on until this fitting was replaced and I didn't have a torch. so I had to pay them if I didn't want to go another 24 hours without water. If you wanna pay 300 bucks an hour for inflated JOB pricing instead of the standard 60.00 service call and 60 bucks an hour, then call Neffville. They are crooks.

Wish I had seen these reviews before I used them. Like the others, I found them to be at least double what anyone else charges. Would have told the repairman to leave but for the fact that I needed the work done that day. Never again!

I was desperate and called Neffsville because I needed same day service, don't ever call them. They came the same day and told me how they really did not want to try and fix my problem. After I insisted they give me an estimate to try and fix it they told me it would be $650 to $700 and they would not be sure they could fix it and it could cost a lot more.

I paid my obligatory $57 service call and told them to leave. My regular plumber came a couple days later and fixed the problem for under $200 and never once told me they could not do it or that there were any major problems. I guess Neffsville makes there money of a flat service call without ever performing any actually plumbing work. The young man from Neffsville was very polite but I don't know that he had any experience.

Insanely overpriced. Charged $85 to tell us that the coils on the AC need to be replaced (the guy used some device for 30 seconds) and quoted $2,000 to do that or they could replace the entire unit. Along with that they charged $75 just for the visit. $160 for basically coming over to tell us to spend more money. We wanted to support a local company, but they are overcharging and over quoting for what they're actually doing. I would avoid them and call around before you call this company. Ultimately we found someone to repair the coil for $250 and everything is working fine.

I'm a landlord in Columbia and I use Neffsville whenever I get in over my head on a plumbing issue. I've never had a problem with their service as they have always been very responsive. Very easy to deal with.

Just wanted to update for the comments left by Rick G. It really was not the fact that it would have cost that much for a replacement it was the fact that they were not going to charge me for the visit until I told them I wanted to shop about. In basic terms possible that is shady business practices. And they knew that the issue was without the voltage meter.

My poor customer service rant of the day. I scheduled an appointment with Neffsville Plumbing & Heating from 12-4 today for a simple fix on my furnace. It works, just doesn't always come on when it is supposed to. At 1:06 pm they called, I missed the call. I called them back at 1:09 pm and they advised I'd be seeing someone around 3pm. 4:10 pm nobody here.

I call and dispatch says they can have someone here "in about an hour". I advised that this is my only day off, and my only night off and I have plans that I want to cancel the appointment. They said "we tried to call you at 1 to send a tech over". "Yes, and I called you back 3 minutes later". Apparently because I stopped to clean the cat box I lost my spot --- even though I had a standing appointment - with my credit card on file to protect them from people not being home.

They stressed that people's heater are out of service and they are catching up. I replied that I told them when making the appointment that my issue was not critical, and if they are buried in emergency calls why did they take my appointment? Ugh. They asked if I wanted to reschedule for tomorrow. I advised them again that today is my only day off.

I asked if that was their only offer. Maybe seeing if they would offer something for my inconvenience if I rescheduled with their company. Free service, discount, anything. Nope. Anyway. Rant done. Yellow pages full of other companies that want my money, and this negative review will go on Yelp to hopefully warn others.
