We bought our Maxim from Central Boiler dealer here in Manitoba, The Warm Woodsman. It was easy to deal with them. And we couldn't be happier with our Maxim. We didn't want to have to cut and throw wood around all the time so we opted for pellets. Maybe a bit harder to source but we have found them in bulk so put a bin right beside and actually just gravity feed them into the boiler.

No auger or electric for that. So we should be good without loading pellets for sure for 2-3 months. It's great. Keeps our farm shop nice and warm. Much easier on tractors. Hoping to run water to the house yet too.

I've been a happy camper with my outdoor furnace an it's overall performance. Central boiler had what I had envisioned in outdoor stove to look like an perform. Although stepping into the unknown firing this stove an becoming one with the stove was a learning curve. With the help of the techs I was able to fire, control timing of the burn and to use properly seasoned wood. Still learning about my stove but with a little help from Central Boiler I now sleep warm nite without worry

With the expected surge in cost of fuel and possible shortages, the ability to gather my own fuel is so empowering and cost efficient. The furnace will pay for itself in a few years, making it a smart investment as well. I used to have an indoor burner but the smoke and dust and danger made it a no brainer to take the fire outside. I heat my basement making it comfortable for winter use and get a trickle up effect, heating the floor of the upper levels and still keeping it cooler upstairs to sleep. I love it and would never go back.

This furnace has been real good on the amount of wood and burn time. I heat two homes with the furnace and one is an older home with poor insulation. I only have to tend the furnace three times a day. I have always burned soft wood during the day and maybe hard wood during the night.

We have had our furnace 9 years and it has provided consistent heat to our home and water heater. Our Central Boiler furnace is easy to use and has saved us tremendously on our electric bill.

We moved to New Hampshire in 2000 and the wife said no wood stove in the new house. So I went in search of the best outdoor wood boiler. After much research I settled on the Central Boiler model 5036. Purchased in the fall of 2006 and it has been going strong ever since. I have had a few issue mainly self created. I have had to replace the chimney after 10 years of use.

Mainly because I left the door open once. The dealer her in NH was very good about the service. I have replaced the door gasket a few times over the years and I just email him and he sends me the parts with a bill. Heck he even included a hat once. Over the years we have save over 3000 dollars each year in propane not used. It allows the wife to keep the house at 70 degrees all winter long. Also no worries at how much hot water she uses in the shower. Over all one of the best investments that we have made!

5 stars for manufacturer and 1 star for dealer support. The boilers that I have had are very good and the manufacturer support is also very good. I have owned a CB boiler since 2001. Nearest dealer is about 100 mile away and in another state. I've have had to rely on EBay the get parts and maintenance supplies.

After doing a deep dive into wood furnaces Central Boiler units won out hands down and have confirmed their reliability as a dependable heat source. I heat my 1600 s/f home and about 1000 s/f of my pole barn along with hot water. Not only are the CB units the best choice out there this dealer goes above and beyond for each and every customer.

This was my best decision moving into my retirement home. And with the current inflation on fuels this unit is actually paying for itself. This is my 4th winter and typically I use three to four hundred $ in slab wood for the ENTIRE SEASON.I CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT MY PROPANE COSTS WOULD BE.

I have had my central boiler for at least 5 years now. It is a great machine that keeps my house and garage cozy in the winter. I love not having to worry about the cost of heating my house. I just throw more wood in. I cannot wait to have my shop hooked up this fall so I can enjoy that too.
