Services
Scheduler was pleasant and receptive. Technician (Collin) communicated well, arrived in the agreed upon time frame, diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue quickly. Previously, we had two other companies misdiagnose the problem and one company stand us up for a scheduled appointment. If we have plumbing issues in the future, Day & Night Plumbing will be our first call!
When the Colonis brothers, then owners of Day & Nite Plumbing of Lynnwood, decided to incorporate the business changing the name to Day & Nite Plumbing of Lynnwood, Inc. At that time, we were only doing new construction plumbing. In 1977, Don Malchom bought Day & Nite Plumbing of Lynnwood, Inc., and opened its doors to commercial and residential service plumbing.
There's no question of the importance of yearly maintenance of all makes and models of residential and commercial heating systems. Neglect leads to higher expense, disruption, and even safety concerns. Conscientious upkeep promotes peak efficiency, comfort levels, and air quality. You can expect your heating equipment to last longer and resist malfunction.

We had another well known Seattle HVAC repair outfit come to fix our furnace which had intermittent error codes and would quit working (in the middle of winter, of course). The other company came 2X and still couldn't pinpoint the problem but thought a wiring harness which cost $500 could be the culprit (though not entirely sure). Before I spent that money (I had already spent $1,000 on the 2 visits), I decided to call Day and Nite.
They scheduled a time in the next couple of days and then called me a few days early as they had a cancellation. Within 30 minutes, they diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and charged $200. It was a simple fix for someone that knows furnaces/boilers. Why look ANYWHERE else. These guys know what they are doing and I highly recommend them.

Nothing but good things to say about the team at Day & Nite. We have had both our water heater and home furnace serviced and replaced by them on different occasions. When our water heater broke it was quick to get them out and replace the unit. they are thorough in explaining the breakdown of costs and communicative throughout the entire process. Same situation when our home furnace broke and we couldnt get any hot air in the house. There was a bit of a wait for an appointment, but once the team was out, it was repaired and working same day. Easy to schedule, very friendly and professional team here.

My folks got a sewer line fixed that cost them a thousand bucks a year ago. Last night after having to dig up the same place, not only did they not repair the right spot (or possibly not enough of it), when I reached in to loosen the coupler they installed it simply slid right off. Shawdy work for a frickin insane price. One star. Only bonus was that I only needed to buy 5 parts instead of 6. Poor form guys. Ought to be ashamed of themselves.

I called to schedule a maintenance service on my furnace. They were able to come out within a couple days. The tech (Chris) was great! He answered all of my questions and talked me through what was done for the maintenance. He also let me know what might be needed soon. We ended up needing a new part and he had it and was able to replace it on the spot. I would call them again!

Here is my interactions with them. I will never use them again and suggest you stay far away from them. I suspect these guys are paid on a commission basis and man did they screw me. The problem was when flushing the toilet it backed up into the bathtub. Their diagnosis was that a 2" cast iron pipe was rotted out. They wouldn't work on it until I had the crawl space cleaned.
That was a $5000 bill. Then they quoted me two guys to dig up the pipe at $170 an hour each, 3 hours. Fixing the 2" pipe did not repair the problem. The tech spent 5 hours shoving his camera here and there to conclude that the concrete pipe was crack and this was causing the problem. They quoted near $8000 to repair. I has a local company come by, they scoped it, jetted and fix the problem in less that 60 min at 1/5 the cost. They are a joke. RUN!

Nov 2018 I had a Water tank installed by Day & Nite Plumbing. The Installation crew was fast and efficient. It looked like they knew what they were doing and were explaining the process throughout the installation. I was with them the entire time watching the progress. They left and it looked like a good installation to me, I trusted there work and installation process.
Fast forward 3 years I was getting an Air Conditioning unit Installation, Not by Day & Nite Plumbing, inspected for Code. The inspector said the AC unit was great but noticed the Water Tank Installation was not up to Washington State Water Heater Code: WAC 51-56-0500 section 507.2 Seismic Provisions. Water heaters shall be anchored or strapped to resist horizontal displacement due to earthquake motion. Strappings shall be at points within the upper one-third and lower one-third of its vertical dimensions.
At the lower point, a distance of not less than four (4) inches (102 mm) shall be maintained from the controls to the strapping. I contacted Day & Nite Plumbing about this and they explained to me that this was an option that I turned down. I explained that I was not made aware of this and I firmly believe this should NOT be an option as it is clearly a code violation if they are not installed.
Day & Nite Plumbing said they would come out and install straps for $245 with no trip charge. I purchased my own straps at Home Depot for $20.00 expecting a discount for the parts. The representative from Day & Nite Plumbing showed up at my house this morning to install the straps for $245. No discount for the parts I had purchased. I informed the representative that I didn't think it was right to be charged that amount to put 4 holes in my wall to attach these straps that should have been previously installed.
I can't imagine the time required to install these being more then 30 min to an hour. I am more then capable of installing these straps but wanted to give Day & Nite Plumbing the opportunity to make it right. When I informed the Day & Nite Plumbing representative that I was not going to pay that price to attach 4 bolts to attaching studs he was very nice explaining to me where I was to position the straps to comply with the installation code.
Day and Nite came out and fixed the code problems associated with the water tank installation. I wanted to update this and say that I am very happy with there work and Employees. Jesse Phelps is very good at his job and when the need arises I will have no problem calling this company again. I'm sorry that there was a misunderstanding and glad it got resolved.
Be advised, and this information is coming from a city Inspector. Anytime you have work done around your house in regards to Electrical, Gas and Water a permit is required for Installation and upgrades. Had I known this in the beginning there would never had been a problem.

We had a three day heat pump installation, including ducts to the second story and piping placed in the basement ceiling. The whole team was efficient, thorough and knowledgeable. They had to pull down the vapor barrier and insulation, put ducts in a 100-year old house, install the motor in the yard in freezing cold and wet weather and answer myriad questions from me and my husband.
They not only got it done, they put the whole house back to normal. They even vacuumed to make sure all the sheet metal and loose fiberglass was gone. It was a great experience. Jay and his team deserve a raise!

Update 10/7: Day & Nite showed up early in the morning and did some quality work. Thank you, Alex. They explained things well and were respectful of our property. Right after everything was done, John called to make sure everything was as we liked. I don't know why we had been rescheduled thrice for over a month, but I have to conclude it was some random fluke. Update 10/6: The very next morning after writing the review below, I received an apologetic call from John R., their networks manager.
Thank you for that. We agreed to reschedule one more time for 10/7. We're willing to give them another chance, because the one time we had them service our water heater and furnace, they did a great job (thanks, Tyler!). I'll update the review after they have come to perform the work. Original review 10/5: We asked Day & Nite Plumbing & Heating to install an exterior hose bib at our house.
The installation was scheduled for September 21, 2021. On that day, we received a call at 9:36 AM that our installation had to be rescheduled "because of a commercial emergency." We rescheduled it to October 4. Again, the morning of October 4, we received a call at 8:28 AM that our visit had to be rescheduled "because of a commercial emergency". It got rescheduled to today, October 5, and at 4:50 PM, we received a call that the plumbers weren't coming anymore, because another job had run late.
This behavior is absolutely unprofessional. Now over a month has passed since we first scheduled the installation, and I have to find a different company all over again. If you actually need anything done, it seems like you unfortunately cannot rely on Day & Nite Plumbing & Heating.

I'm a veteran on a fixed income while I try to get through school. My family and I are now taking cold showers while waiting for plumbing parts to come in the mail, so I can try to fix a brand new water heating unit on my own. I know nothing about plumbing. This seems wrong. I know I wouldn't treat my customers this way. A brand new hot water heater and tank booster was installed into my home in Aug of 2019.
By spring of 2020 we noticed low hot water volume. In July of 2020 a technician came out to my home to fix the hot water. He claimed he was the individual who installed the tank. He removed a few screens from the booster, claiming that the screens were clogged and the problem was fixed. The hot water flow was better, but not the same as the cold water flow.
The hot water volume has continued to drop, and now a year later it is at a trickle. I called Day and Nite to come fix the problem, and explained that there is a paper trail showing that the same problem has persisted since installation. The response from the plumbing manager was that the parts were now out of warranty and there was nothing he could do.
I asked them to come out and take a look again, anyway. The technician who came was kind and professional, but left explaining that I needed to replace the tank booster because it is likely bad, but again, it is now out of warranty. I cannot recommend Day & Nite Plumbing, especially to people who can't afford unexpected costs.

Tricky. The work they did seems to be fine. Time will tell. I have a fancy toilet system that uses a pressurized inner tank. Over the years it has run and leaked. Day and Nite are the third set of plumbers to come out to fix it. They were recommended to me by the manufacturer of the toilet unit. The downside. They canceled the first appointment two hours before they were supposed to arrive.
I had to wait an additional week and schedule more time at home which is not convenient. I want to rate them between a three and four for the rescheduling. If the repair holds, I will keep the four.

My neighbor recommended Day & Nite Plumbing after Sammamish Plateau Water Utility alerted us about a leak and we started to see water accumulate at the end of our driveway. I contacted them through their website on a Saturday. They gave me a call that day. We got an appointment scheduled within a couple of days. In the meantime, I had a leak detection company locate the general area of the leak.
Unfortunately it was under our driveway. Zach came out and gave us two estimates, one for repairing and the other for replacing the whole line. We chose to do the repair. It was going to take a full day, so we scheduled it for the following week. The dispatcher had to move around other appointments to make room for us. I appreciate them prioritizing us.
On the day of the repair, Zach and his partner were super professional and communicated well. Locating the actual pipe took longer than anticipated, but Zach made sure I knew what was happening each step of the way. They got done mid-afternoon and cleaned up the repair site. Overall, I was impressed with Day & Nite and would hire them again.

Zach, from Day & Nite Plumbing and Heating, was exceptional! He was punctual, super friendly and personable, knowledgeable, and informative. He inspected the situation under the house, provided an estimate that included two options, and tested the work upon completion. All done efficiently. BEST OF ALL, the price was very reasonable. We were relieved that we didn't have to "drain" our emergency fund. Heaven forbid we need a plumber in the near future, but when the time comes we are definitely doing business with this long time family run business!

More great work from D&N Plumbing. A big thank you to Zach who tackled 4 projects in one afternoon. Everything works and looks fabulous. D&N has been reliable for almost 2 decades at my house. Their pricing is competitive and they provide suggestions based in knowledge and integrity. Thank you again D&N!

Woke up on a Saturday morning to my basement flooding. Called Day & Night and they had someone come out that day. They followed all protocols, and John was beyond kind and informative and did an amazing job finding and fixing the leak. They followed up with me and have even help submit things to my insurance. Couldn't be happier with the customer service and the work they did. I will be using John and Day & Night from now on!

We've been loyal Day and Nite customers for several years and have usually been really happy with them. They've been to our home and rental property for several plumbing jobs. They replaced a hot water heater and we've found them to be responsive and professional. We called them on November 7th for furnace repair and have been very disappointed with the service.
They initially came out within a week and the technician said the furnace just needed a thorough service of the unit. We paid $317 for that and he told us we had to go to Home Depot and buy our own filter because he had run out. I thought that was a little strange but it was the first time they serviced our furnace and I was so grateful they got there within a few days.
The furnace stopped working by the next morning. I called and I was grateful the technician came back the same afternoon. After working on it for about 30-40 minutes he said he needed to order a part and it could take up to a week. He said they would let me know once they ordered it when they would be back. We didn't hear anything and after a week of fighting the cold with two small children, we called.
We were told the part hadn't come in but it was due the next day. Two days later, we called again and were told it never showed up. Finally the next week they called and said it came but they couldn't come back for 3 weeks, December 11. I understand that they're probably very busy this time of the year but you would think a customer with an open service call would get more consideration?
I don't know if they've had a management change but it's just a disappointing situation. **** Update! About 2 hours after I posted the first review they called and sent a repairman. The furnace is working again. Hopefully, this was just a fluke situation. The repairman said they had been really busy.

Tyler came out to the house and quickly diagnosed the problem with our furnace. Professional and wearing a mask at all times. Unfortunately he did not have a replacement part and had to order it, but dropped by a couple of days later unannounced because he was in our area with the part in his truck and quickly repaired the issue.

Great job by John and apprentice! Sure glad I call Day and Night. They are Excellent from the nice lady on the phone to the Plumbers they sent out. Quality work, Honest, and personable. This is a very good company. I am happy and my wife got a beautiful new faucet. Fixed the other faucets and also got a Senior discount. Sure glad I called them. I can see why the have been in business a very long time and I think they are family owned! You can trust them to take care of you. My wife is happy and so am I.

Our Plumber came equipped with all the necessary Covid protection which I really appreciated! He was thorough, professional and gave me an estimate on the spot. He replaced the water shower faucet cartridge and related part. He finished up quickly, explained the bill to me and gave me a complete review of the work he had done. Great job! Very pleased. Will definitely use again!

Having a qualify and attention to detail technician, I found in Jon. He started his first assignment with me February. Then COVID-19 got worst! Jon and his apprentice on their second visit followed all guidelines and did an awesome job installing my kitchen sink, garbage disposer, faucet, soap dispenser and dishwasher bringing it up to code. I was impressed and pleased! Jon third visit was bringing my main floor bathroom to code and installing a bidet. Again thank you Jon!

Jason came on July 4th to loosen a bolt at over double the price. After that he connected the water line and now my perfect rebuit toilet has the fill valve at 45 degree and the hose is stretched that connects to the overflow pipe and out of place. He told me he had been in the business for over 20 years and I am stumped about plumbers? I had to redo all of the work I had spent hours on after spending 500.00
