ABC Heating has been proudly serving the Champaign County area for 45+ years. Operated part-time from about 1969 in 1973 ABC became a full time concern for founder Fred F. Reed. In 2001 his daughter Gina Cribbett and her husband Mike purchased the business from him. Two long time employees were retained, the company was incorporated, and Mike became the full time General Manager at ABC.

I didn't expect an easy to understand computer generated write up of what was wrong and how to fix my AC unit. I also didn't expect a clear verbal recap of that write up from my service tech. I not only received both, I also received pretty quick service and a quick repair that got our offices back to cool on a hot day. Love this company for both my work place and my home.
Their residential HVAC inspections both spring and fall are crazy thorough and they fix things as needed for no worry cooling and heating seasons. Well worth it - I really don't ever need to think about my air conditioner or my furnace because I can just call (or email) Gina!

Excellent experience with ABC Heating and AC start to finish. Obtained 4 proposals for replacing my AC unit due to many Freon leaks. ABC was not the highest or the lowest proposal, but I was genuinely impressed with Mike Cribbett, one of the owners. He didn't "sell" me anything, just stated the facts and was completely "No bull". He sat down with me, flashlight in hand and gathered all the information he needed to establish the proposal pricing.
No fancy brochures, no glossy advertisements. Very business-like and professional in every way. No pressure sales of any kind. He operates his business the same way I would. Honestly and reliably. The install went exactly as planned. on time and in budget. I have put myself and my family in his capable hands for the next 10 years and am happy to be associated with ABC. Thanks Mike and crew. We called and received estimates from several companies to install a new HVAC system in our home. Our home was built in 1960 and we needed new ductwork as well. ABC's estimator was Mike. He is the business owner and he was pleasant, professional and honest in his evaluation of our needs and presented us with several options to select from. Our expectations were exceeded by his crew who arrived on time each of the three days to perform the installation work.
Work was completed ahead of schedule. The crew cleaned up after themselves and we have been very pleased with our power and gas bills as our new system pays for itself in our savings. We highly recommend ABC Heating and Cooling to anyone needing a new system installed.

Called for someone to come out to do work on a furnace, gave the operator my address only to be told I'd have to call someone else because it would take them 2-3 hours to arrive here which is not true since I'm 45 minutes away from Champaign. Clearly she doesn't know how to use a map. Just moved to the area and ABC lost a loyal customer.

I love the furnace and I am so happy to have heat just in time for another cold storm. So far this baby runs like a dream, so smooth and quiet unlike my old one. There's no smell from furnace when its on anymore. Looking at the heater makes me feel all warm and fuzzy because now its actually toasty in my house. The thermostat is awesome too with different time settings.
Grant and Jerrod did a very very good job. I thought Grant's drywall cut and also the metal box he made on top of the furnace were pieces of artwork. The drywall cut wasnt as bad as I thought it would be and I will be able to cover the insulation easily. They gave me a lot of tips and explained things well to me as I am a new homeowner. Eventhough it was so cold out, I really enjoyed being able to watch them work and learn things from them. Jerrod even taught me the "sequence of operation." You have a wonderful team here.
Every single one was very knowledgeable, extremely professional and courteous. They treat their work with such pride and perfectionism as if they were working on their own house. I cant thank them enough for their hard work! This is the first and definitely wont be the last time I choose ABC for my future heating and AC needs. With so much gratitude, Hannah
