Our old a/c (installed by a different company) was really starting to struggle. I called Finch and Rik came out the same day. He took the time to look everything over and gave me multiple options for repairs or replacement. My wife and I decided to go with the Advantage Plan. A couple of days later, the crew arrived on time and installed a new unit. Rik checked back in with us a couple of days later to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the work that was done. I'll definitely be recommending them to my family and friends that need a/c work done.

My wall got water down it due too a unprofessional install on the drain. ON A NEW TRANE SYSTEM FROM FINCH. I called them out and the drain was fixed. But no word from the company yet. On fixing my wall like i was told. the tech said finch would send someone out to fix my wet sheetrock that is now molding but it seems like they just don't care. When I call they say they are on meetings. I guess legal action might make them wake up. I have pictures from the first day of the VERY POOR INSTALL. OVER PRICED AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

We had finch come out and replace both air conditioners. They were very efficient and professional. But more than that, when the units weren't performing the way we thought they should, Finch not only came out to inspect the issues but worked with us to make sure we were totally satisfied! They went above and beyond. Customer service is important to them and it shows on how they operate. Every employee that we have dealt with have been knowledgeable and professional. Mark from finch came out for maintenance today and did an awesome job! Very thorough!

My AC was not cooling at all and I had a technician from another company come out he said that he did some thing and it would take time to reset. It never reset the red trouble signal stayed on for months. That was OK because it was winter. I live in the Houston Texas area and it gets very hot. The highs went up to the 80s and it was still not cooling. I called Finch AC the technician was very professional he checked everything out and found the problem and got it resolved in one day. I highly recommend Finch AC.

Do NOT use. Guys came out to do a diagnostic on our heater. Stated price for diagnostic is $99. That's just to arrive at your home. Once they come in your house and look at your unit they start charging by the minute. The quickly figured out the problem and left to go locate a $100 part because my husband told them we weren't spending $6000 on a heater right now.
Cold weather was coming in 2 days so we needed it fixed asap, but we did not hear from them. We gave them a couple of days and called, but it was already getting down below freezing. They said they were having trouble locating the part, but implied that they were still trying to get it and would call us back. No call back. I called them 3 times today.
First time left a message, but no response. Second time, a nice lady said she was going to look it up and call me back. No call back. I called again and got an answering service who connected me with a technician on call. He said they had tried to get the part but it was unavailable. Yet no one bothered to call and tell us that, knowing bad weather was coming.
On top of it all they charged us an additional $80+ dollars for the 15 minutes they were here. So it was a $180 lesson that this is a company we will never do business with. The are unethical, uncaring, and unresponsive to calls.

New unit, 5 months old. Had a Freon leak. 2days after new unit installed, motor ran backwards. Rick and another guy came out, thought it was a switch. The other gentleman told Rick there was a leak and showed him where he thought it was. They left and said someone would come back to change the switch and some other things. Next day Hunter came out, said he was there to check coil?
I told him there were more things to be done including leak that was making it run backwards sounding like a machine gun? He checked for leaks said couldn't find one, added Freon, stayed to make sure it ran good? It did until 1st part of December? Then it did same thing again, ran backwards? Another gentleman came out couldn't find the problem? They sent a second guy to work with him.
I told both of them about the leak mentioned to me? They couldn't find leak? They finally put 4lbs of Freon in it and it worked fine. Said in the notes they would have to comeback and find leak. After the New Year we called and ask about it and Lisa sent Bart out. I told him the same thing I told all the other guys. He checked with his sniffer where.
I told him the 1st guy said it was. He checked, nothing there but 2 feet away HE FOUND THE LEAK in a valve! He replaced the valve, put in another 3lbs of Freon. Bart was here 10 minutes found the leak, repaired in 15 minutes and was done! So far so good. Excellent work Bart, hats off! Thank you and Finch, persistents. I had bought my townhouse in 2013. The lady that I had bought it from had a new AC put in and no new furnace. The wiring had been put in wrong and so had the unit. The furnace had a pipe and was hooked up so that the heat-air went back through the furnace. She used this company. It is a wonder that my cat and I did not get carbon monoxide. When I called this company out once, they charged me $70 for nothing.
On July 22nd, I had to buy a new AC/heating unit. There was mildew and mold. The filter upstairs had mold all in it. Also, the pipe through the top of the roof had water dripping down. This unit was not old and it was all rusted. Not calling any of the locals anymore for AC/electric/plumbing issues to fix my problems. Will never call these people nor have them do any work for me.
I just found all this out on July 22, 2021. I have a potential health problem and I was trying to figure out why I was having some nauseated/vomiting issues and my medication was not working.

Total scam! Do not trust this company. I just had a routine maintenance on my air conditioner and the a/c is not working and the 2 bedrooms and bathroom is like a sauna. I spent a extra $650 per service manager to bring more cooler air in the rooms and the rooms are still hot. The service manager Chase refuses to return call or to solve the problem.
I have been having finch technicians out every week since 5/13/2021. They send out different technicians each time and no one knows what the others have done to the system. I am going to report to the BBB and get an attorney as this is fraudulent behavior. The service manager avoids my calls and when I finally get in contact lies about what he is going to do to resolve the two bedrooms and bathroom. They won't tell me who is the boss of Chase as the owner is retired. Donna P LaMarque Tx

Wow - total scam artists. Our heater was not working yesterday morning. While I have a warranty company, they are slow and I was cold so I just called a company from a web search. I did manage to get a same day visit. The tech introduced himself and immediately gave me some brochures about a maintenance program, which I thought was odd. After stomping around in the attic for a while, he came down and broke us the news the there was really nothing that could be done with that furnace, it was toast, very old components, which he proceeded to detail.
When he started talking about the compressor outside which he had never seen, I let him know that it was two years old and he dropped that. He said he had to have Mr Hamm come by and give me a quote. I told him I'd be more than happy to get a quote via email and that he was free to go, I didn't need to waste his time anymore. He appeared to agree.
He stayed for another hour tinkering in the attic, and when I asked him how much longer he told me longer he needed to be hear, and he said, 'Oh, Mr Hamm is almost here, he lives in the area. I reminded him that I wanted an email quote and he said that Mr Hamm really wanted to come by. Oh well, looked inevitable, so I let Mr Hamm in. He immediately began a sales pitch, including a questionnaire about our goals for utility bills and lifestyle and a whole lot of things unrelated to fixing my furnace.
I finally figured out that he's selling an Advantage furnace leasing program, which he provided more brochures. He gave me the hard sale, no way I was going to get him out of his spiel. He did finally (at my insistence) quote me numbers for my repair job, but they were not itemized or signed and basically meaningless. When he left, I immediately put in a service call on my home warranty service.
A tech was at my house by 9am the next morning, and he advised that we had a dirty flame sensor that he cleaned and our house is now warm. What an incredible reversal! (We know that the upstairs furnace components are old and won't last forever, but he advised us that they were not in immediate need of replacement.) DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS - GET A SECOND OPINION.

After experiencing a gas smell when we turned on the furnace, we called Finch for a tech to come out. He was a very nice young man so no complaints there. He discovered a broken connector to an air vent and took a picture to show me. All good. However he didn't not know how to fix it and didn't not even attempt. He kept saying due to the age of the unit his manager would want to replace the entire unit.
Strange as he could not tel me the age of the unit. He forgot to check lol. He charged me $89 and told me I couldn't use the unit. Bad timing as it was almost freezing last night. Just had Du- West out. Joe fixed the vent and reconnected three air ducts that were lose. He knew exactly what to do and did not even once suggest we needed to replace unit. Do not call Finch unless you have a lot of money to part with!

Do not use this company! I repeat, do not use this company. If I could give them zero stars I would. So, I was mowing my grass when I get a call from a Finch AC representative asking me if I would like to take advantage of their discounted inspection price. I said yes since I needed an AC checkup anyways. Now, my house was built at the end of 2017, so it's only been 3 years, and I wasn't expecting what came next.
Let me start off by saying that I installed ECOBEEs the day I moved in and they can graph your temps, equipment run times, and outside temps. My units were running perfectly before September 24th, 2020. I will attach pics to show what I'm talking about. Guy shows up, and starts with process. He goes up to attic, "cleans out" my drain lines. As of today, October 12th, their is water in pan and backup drains are draining outside, and not to my sink like it's designed to.
Guy comes down and goes outside, and commences to clean my units outside. Comes in and tells me it will be $600 if I want him to use anything but water on them. I obviously tell him no. He then checks my pressures, and comes in with more stuff. He says my upstairs unit is fine but my downstairs unit is low on R22 and it will require 2 lbs @ $80 a lb (my units are 410a).
I tell him no thank you, and he pushes me harder talking about the damage I will do to my compressor. I insist on the no, and ask him to finish. He finishes up, and then shows me the recommended services. Totally a little over $4000, he recommended a leak check, a UV system to kill bacteria, etc. I once again told him no and he left disappointed. I've met some con artists in my time, but Finch AC is high up on the list. I'm 99% positive they let some pressure out of my bottom unit in an attempt to get money out of me.

I was impressed by the fact that I got a call back and a visit within a couple hours. Finch originally installed my main AC several years ago. I wanted to add a ductless Mitsubishi System to a room in my home that requires supplementary cooling. This is a simple job. Claudio from Finch arrived at my home and I described what I wanted. After Claudio looked at my arrangement, he quoted me $4800 for a 9000 BTU split AC.
This system sells for $1800 on Amazon. My requirement was for a Z-wave thermostat wired to the system as well. I figured that the installation of the concrete pad outside, which I wanted to raise the outside unit at least 6 inches combined with the electrical wire run across the house was the necessary labor. I spoke with Claudio and his technical expert on the phone and specified my thermostat requirements.
They agreed they could install the system on Friday. So, this is an AC system with no ducting, an electrical connection, and a low voltage thermostat connection. Easy! This morning I got an email from Claudio saying that I would have to get an electrical contractor since Finch AC is not an electrical contractor. This was a total waste of my time and at the time I signed for the installation, Claudio had even measured the length of the required wire from my breaker box to where the unit was to be installed. Claudio also checked that I had a spare breaker slot. Clearly, Finch does not know what they are doing with these types of installations despite saying they are a manufacturers rep. for these Mitsubishi systems.
What customer wants a system installed without power? The other problem with this visit was that the first fifteen minutes was spent trying to sell me a monthly maintenance contract on my existing AC system despite saying I was not interested. So, come cooler weather, I will hire a general contractor to install the unit which I will buy from Amazon.
Oh yeah, and the general contractor will make sure it has power too. Last year I also had Finch AC come out and do an annual on my existing AC. That turned into a sales call telling me that I would not be able to replace refrigerant on the old system, since yet another new coolant replacement popped up in the last five years. So, although they like to sell, I no longer have confidence in Finch as a company to provide end to end support. Update: After Finch replied that I should call them, I would like to take away a star on my review. However, it is already one star.
Who out there wants to waste their time with a company who after dealing with one person in person and their expert on the phone while the rep is here tells me a day later that they don't make any electrical connections? Perhaps I got the two most inexperienced guys talking to me at Finch. Their management might want to reassess their service.

DO NOT call these people. Needed a capacitor changed ($20 part) and about 6 lbs of freon/R-22 (about $15 per lb cost). Dude quoted $980! to fix this. We're a property management company and know the prices. $350 for capacitor and.wait for it.$600 for the $75-$90 of freon. So i called the guy who sent him out thinking we would agree that was a bit much and instead of agreeing, he claimed that r-22 is extremely rare and it is actually $300-$600 PER POUND!
And this is a national average! After letting know a 30lb canister costs average $400-$450 he KEPT DEFENDING this. Unbelievable! People. RUN. Don't pass go.don't collect $200. The next dude did it for $280 including the drive and parts.

I just had Finch come out and troubleshoot my AC since they were the ones to install. They kept on wanting to sell me a new AC. Repair cost quoted was over $2100.00 I call another company and had the repair done for just over $400.00 talk about a price delta. I'm very disappointed in the quotes. On the bright side the technicians were very friendly but told me what I already knew what was wrong with the system.

After several months of issues I'm glad to finally be able to change this review to a far more positive one, and can say as long as you get the right technician out this is a great company to get your AC through. Be sure to specifically request Soufiane to help you out; he's extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and was able to fix four month ordeal in a matter of days. Extremely happy he was able to help and get everything working properly!

Wish I could give them less than 1 star. My wife called to set up an installation of our air filters with the company and we got a time setup.no problem since we have a yearly service plan with them. They call me at work telling me they won't come out unless we pay them, even though our contract explicitly says we don't have to pay for service calls. "Oh, this is not a service call.we haven to charge you.we have costs." Whats the point of the plan then?
She huffs of the phone, keeps getting upset at me. Months before they asked $1200 to fix an a/c issue. I got it fixed from another company for $100. I figured I'd give them another chance.but today was it. Never had someone so rude on the phone. Told her I'm cancelling our service plan and finding another company. I think she was actually happy to lose a long-time customer. Save yourself the headache.find someone else!

Today I had another great visit from a Finch AC technician. This time it was Soufiane Tabsat (had to ask him how to pronounce it:-) He was very thorough with this semi-annual check up. It gives me great confidence when it comes to the continued operation of the nine year old system that they installing in 2009. I would recommend them to anyone.

We bought our air conditioning from Lowe's, and Finch was the contractor that Lowe's used as a subcontractor. Our unit was installed on time, and everything has worked as promised. We did ask them to come back and correct an issue with the drain line, which they did under warranty without a hassle. It's been about 3 months since the installation and I have no complaints.
The Trane they put in is a huge improvement over what the builder had installed and I can see a small difference in the electric bill (which is what I expected). The Finch sales rep was very straightforward and I feel like we got exactly what we paid for.

I have used Finch Airconditioning for over 20 year so. Since the new owners have taken over, I will know find another company. We were left 6 days in the Texas heat with no Airconditioning. There temporary fix did not work. We were told 3 times someone would call us back. We had to call them each time. The guy came out to fix it left and it quit again. He replaced the same old thermostat back that caused problems in the first place. They are no longer a 24/7 service. So long! Thank goodness for other choices.

Had the whole system replaced last month. Nancy was the sales agent and she was very thorough and professional. The installation team consisted of two guys who arrived at 8:00am sharp and worked through until 5:00pm. A supervisor came out to check the progress that day. The next morning they were back early to complete the duct work. They were finished by 1:00pm.
Before they left, everything was inspected and instructions were given on how to work the new thermostat. Nancy followed up by stopping by during the installation and also calling after the work was complete. I am very happy with the product, the quality of the installation and the follow up.

I have used Finch for many years and my last couple of experiences have been from poor to terrible. The last go around resulted in over a half dozen return visits to repair the work they did the time before. I talked to Mr. Finch personally on the phone and he told me if I thought I was getting poor service it was okay with him if I wrote a bad review.
The only quality work we received that was done right the first time was from a sub-contractor who did a final repair. They had no trouble being timely on the billing however, so at least that department is professional.

Per my girlfriends experience they came to fix a/c and were there for three hours and kept saying keep fingers crossed that what they were trying would work. The issue she had got fixed but she had a second company come check the work due to concerns and the second company showed her where Finch left a mess outside around her a/c and left a mess in her attic and left cover off a/c and wiring replaced just dangling inside and out very messy workmanship. Giving them a 3 because her issue was fixed but that's it due to the sloppiness.
