We called them for simple plumbing services. As soon as they were paid they became uncooperative. When doing the estimate, I was given an appointment time. Once they had money, they would not schedule a time to finish the work. Most companies, give you a window of time. Expect to spend the whole day waiting for them to show up and do the work. Because they will tell you a day, but you must be home from 8am to 5 pm. 9 hours!
When I called to ask for a time, they asked if I wanted to cancel the service rather than give me an appointment time. Very unprofessional handling of customers. Very pricey. Edit 31 May 2022. I raised my rating 2 stars because of how my complaint was handled. Jeff took my complaint seriously, and appeared genuinely concerned. I would give Ryan, the hands on Plumber 10+ stars. Ryan is great, and a major asset to this company. Thanks Ryan, I hope you see this.

I had a water softener installed for the first time at my home, and work was completed on April 27th. Calling Midway Services to get a plumbing technician out to my house to go over the cost and setup was super easy and all of the office staff I spoke with were very nice and a pleasure to work with. My plumbing tech Gerald did an amazing job at getting the softener set up for me.
He explained exactly how it needed to be placed, and how the electrical needed to be set up as well as where he was going to run piping to the unit prior to starting work. He is very knowledgeable and I was impressed with the quality of his work. Getting everything installed was very straight forward and am very happy with my new softener. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made, and definitely recommend anyone on the fence about getting one to just do it. You'll be happy you did! You'll be even happier having Midway Services and Gerald installing the unit for you.

We had Greg the electrician for some electrical work, along with some other Midway employees. He really stood out as knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend asking for him by name! I also Midway for a/c and Paul Cuthbert was a gem! He REALLY knew what he was doing and I was super happy to have him come help us out. I wish I could have written a second review for him. Hopefully the owners will take note - he's a keeper!

We've used midway for over 10 years for plumbing and air conditioning. We have a bi-yearly maintenance agreement where they supposedly come and inspect everything. 6 months ago we were told we needed to replace all the duct work. 3 years ago we were told we needed a UV light kit. We did everything they said we needed. UV light cost $500. Duct work cost $6,500. Today's "inspection" said we have "biological growth" (mold) and that the UV light has burned out.
Why do we have a bi-yearly inspection if they don't tell us we have a potential problem. We were never told we needed to change the UV light. They now want to charge me for removal and cleaning of the mold. I'll pay double for another reputable company to do it. Call anyone but Midway. They don't treat their long term customers right. Call Caldico.

I've used Miday and their programs since I moved to the area 8 years ago. Never an issue. Not the cheapest but the best so money well spent. AC died yesterday. Called them at 9am. Hans was here at 2p to diagnose and lay out the options. Need a new AC unit. He walked through the short term band aid repairs with no sales pressure, just information Garret presented all the business information perfectly.
They offered to bring in fans at no charge to try to handle it overnight if I wanted. Next morning at 9a, Jeremiah and Christian arrived to do the install and it went perfect. From disaster to perfect in 32 hours. Can't be beat.

Midway did a very large plumbing job replacing the old pipe under my addition. My house is 70 years old and had the old pipe that was collapsing. They had to tear apart my front room and I was thinking what a mess. Midway completed the job. No mess at all! They were very respectful. Tented the room. Moved furniture, had exhaust vents if needed. Saved my grass, dirt and bushes they had to dig up. Tony and all the men were very patient with my concerns and questions. Very professional and did a great job. Will always recommend them.

Greg was very professional and knowledgeable. He installed a pool pump, changed a main breaker, rewired a light switch, and totally wired and installed a ceiling fan. He explained everything as he did it which left me feeling at ease and satisfied. I will request Greg for any other electrical work that will need to be done. Thank you for the wonderful job.

We had a broken shower handle that was quite corroded. Called Midway for a second opinion after being told by a different company it may not be able to be fixed and we would still need to pay for the labor even if it was unfixable. We had Jose Ayala from Midway arrive promptly at the appointment time. He was polite, patient, and thorough. He discussed the possible options we could take and the different costs and was able to fix our shower that day. He will be our go to plumber from now on.

OMG! These plumbers are totally AWESOME! BIG job today. I had Terry, Noah and Alex here for most all of today. A new kitchen drain line to replace the one that was probably here since the home was put on this foundation in '74, new hangers, a new clean out access point very accessible, and then they also installed my purchased new Ruvati workstation sink, my purchased new high arch faucet, and a dish soap dispenser, and new undersink plumbing.
These guys were friendly, personable, courteous and professional. What more can you possibly ask for? Exceptional work done right the first time. Cleaned up and took away all the old debris. Didn't mind me yakking and asking questions. They did a beautiful job, worth EVERY PENNY! I wouldn't worry about hiring this company again, because I got a top-notch result.

Jose repaired one toilet, installed a new toilet, installed a new garbage disposal and fixed a leak in the sink drain. Most of this was completed on the same day. Jose was prompt, knowledgeable and explained the needed repairs clearly with excellent customer service. He is an asset to Midway and I won't hesitate to call them again or recommend to others. Pricing was fair and slightly lower then other plumbing companies that quoted the same services.

The power went out in part of my house. It was Sunday, but I called Midway and the lovely woman who answered said their on-call electrician would call soon. In no time Greg Lisinski arrived. He listened to me, asked me a few questions and got to work. He checked and tested everything thoroughly and repaired 2 bad breakers. He also told me of an additional problem that Duke Energy needed to address. Greg's care and professionalism had me up and running and I appreciate his concern that all the power problems in my home got addressed quickly. The price for Midway's services was very fair, too. Midway came and replaced my water heater. Ryan was the tech who came and was so kind and informative and patient and knowledgeable. He did a great job and made sure everything was working well before he left. If I ever need service from them again I will ask for Ryan. I could not have had a better experience than I did with Ryan. We have a tankless hot water heater system and have been customers of Midway since 2015. Gerald was our service person today. We live in a 55+ community, and Gerald entered with covered shoe protectors and an N-95 mask, which we greatly appreciated, since my husband's lungs are compromised. Gerald did impeccable work in small spaces and was conscientious of our concerns.
He is a great representative of this company, as he is polite, clear in his explanations and sensitive to hearing and responding to his customers. We are very satisfied with his work and would recommend Midway to our neighbors.

Hi I've been with Midway Services since 2011 they are really overpriced but they were pretty amazing about 3 years ago I had them put in a New Lennox air conditioner when it was according to them $14,000 and change I don't have a computer I only have a phone so they put my contract in the phone and by the time I was able to read it because I'm not text Abby the thing was $16,000 most $17,000 when I was able to complain to them they said it was too late I got ahold of a lawyer and of course I couldn't do anything because I had signed the contract they finally sent me a hard copy about 2 months in I need to tell you to stay away from these people they are absolute sharks I understand its buyer beware but you would think with they would stand up and do something but they did not I have told them that when the contract is over its seven-year lease which is called indentured servitude I will have the air conditioner pulled and have someone else put a new one in that is not least thank you very much just be careful of these people stay away!

I had a great technician come out in a hurry and check my service. I had a bad panel. They gave me a quote and came back in a week to install my new panel, and fix my poorly installed tankless water heater. Everything was fantastic and they reassured me of the work. Unfortunately, there was a small accident of my internet cable being severed. Frontier replaced the cable. Everything else was good, accidents happen.

So I had another appointment scheduled for today because of them canceling 10 minutes before my appointment last week they call me again 13 minutes before my appointment to tell me that they're going to be late when my appointment is until 12 o'clock I have been sitting around all morning waiting from them from 8 to 12 and I told her if they are not here within that 13 minutes that they're canceling my appointment again she said OK well I'm noting that we're canceling your appointment. What is the point of setting up an appointment if your gonna keep canceling. This Company is really pissing me off.

Called and politely asked that they move their vehicles. There's no reason for them to be parking there for the past 2 weeks. The guy who answered said he'd have them move the vans. They moved one van and parked a car in the spot. I can barley enter and exit my driveway. Their customer's driveway is completely empty. I called back and they said they would move them. They have yet to be moved. Completely inconsiderate.

They sort of know what they are doing. We had them reset a toilet. $450 if you can believe it. It looked like a 12 year old caulked it. Recently they diagnosed a water pressure problem as the faucet. Another ridiculous $1000 plus for a Chinese kitchen faucet. The clown wanted to show my wife how good the pressure was and squirted her in the face. My advice: find someone else unless you like to waste money.

This was the 3rd and final time we will use Midway. The technicians are great, always friendly, professional and knowledgeable, however the company itself are criminals! We paid over $1000, for a new kitchen faucet that I later found out was made in China and I could have bought myself for $118! Very disappointing that they take advantage of people with their outrageous prices. We will definitely not be calling them again!

I can't say enough about their professionalism and prompt response. We are snowbirds who had a Nest thermostat problem after our condo turned off power to the AC. The condo workers couldn't figure out what they had done so Midway came in immediately and kept us on the phone while they troubleshoot the issue. Turned out to be a simple fix. They handled it quickly and we couldn't be more grateful or impressed. They are now our go-to company. Thanks all.

We had to replace the drain on an older tub. Sounded like a simple job but it turned out to be a nightmare. David was incredible.determined to find a solution and he did. Fantastic job I have used Midway for a new HVAC unit, electrical work to replace breakers, and now plumbing. We have had some scheduling glitches but the technicians that have come and the work they performed was excellent. If you own a business beware! I tried to go the professional route when getting my AC serviced for my business so I called Midway Services and that is where things fell apart. I had the guy come out "field supervisor" and I paid to have the maintenance plan he recommended two things to be fixed (AC lingo) all I know is it was almost $1200.00 ok no problem seems like he knows what he is talking about and I have a maintenance plan so if I was to have problems in the future they would come out.little did I know!
I turned on the AC later that day it was blowing nothing but hot air.im like ok. called them the following day talked to the "manager" and he assured me that they had qualified workers and they did a thorough check turns out that a piece "AC Lingo" needed to be cleaned. im like ok why wasn't that piece checked during the maintenance check? The "field supervisor" said he made a mistake and he apologized!
I guess shit happens. i felt empathy and understood and trusted after I spend $700.00 to get a piece cleaned that my customers will have AC.boy was I wrong. I turned it on for the 1st time a week later and the AC doesn't even come on. I call them again not very happy but trying to get to the bottom of the issue. they now say that a blower fan went out.
If I spend this $900.00 and this AC still doesn't come on im coming to Clearwater and getting a full refund or getting arrested one or the other because they are playing with my time and money 2 things that I do not play with. I have an older AC so I would respect if they said hey your system is too old to work on, but they made it seem like they could repair it. you know they hit me with the just get a new system.

Do not bother even calling Midway Services. I made an appointment with this company last week for getting Washer and Drying installed in my Condo. After waiting over 1 hour past the appointed time, I phoned their Office, and received absolutely no assistance from their office. It is obvious that this company-Midway Services- does not care about their commitments/customers.

I called and they offered someone to come out same day. Looking for a emergency shut off for a gas connection to put in a natural gas grill. Man arrive promptly and there's where it fell apart. He told me I needed a permit, and was offering a "check" to make sure there was gas at the site. (which I knew there was) which there was a charge. He never really answered my questions and I finally asked could he do it and how long would it take and would it be over $300 and he said more.he said the permit alone was $150 and it would be awhile.
There was nothing in his conversation that made me think he knew what he was doing or his was taking me for a fool. I had already done some preliminary work on this and said No Thanks. I called TECO and they gave me a recommendation of Plummer who worked on gas connections. He is doing the job for $200 and will have it done it a hour. Insult to injury.
I called and spoke to Customer Service Mger with Midway and she wasn't interested at all in the situation. She totally defended the actions of her employee. She obviously wasn't listening. She was non apologetic and is in the wrong business.

DO NOT USE GOR YOUR A/C OR HEATING INSTALLATION. They installed a new A/C and Heating unit in my condo 0n 3/30/18. The county electrical inspector disconnected and RED Tagged the unit as improper and unsafe to use. This company did not attach any ground wires to the unit and then installed an over powered fuse to the unit. This company claims 24 hour service.that is pure and simply not true.
After 5 pm you will get an answering service that takes a message and says they will call un the morning. That is not being open 24 hours. I zm sorry I gave this FAKE AC Company my money and many referrala over the past few weeks. If you want to put your personal property and family at risk then this is the company for you.

I called midway to repair the faucet in my bathtub. The job took less then 10 minutes and he charged me $260 to replace the faucet with cheap brand that broke 3 weeks later. He spent more time checking out my collectibles then he did actually working. The service was mediocre at best and the price was outrageous. The part on the faucet was the lift lever for the shower and it snapped off from corrosion in a short time. I asked about the price and he said that was standard. I will not use them again nor would I ever recommend them to anybody.

After a relationship for various services over a number of years, I call Friday to make an electrician appointment for Monday. The customer service took my name and information and created an appointment for Monday from 8 am to 10 am. I schedule a day off to be available when they arrived at 8. At 8 a.m. the phone rings and it's the dispatcher saying no technicians are available may we reschedule for Wednesday?
As a customer I sense some kind of a disconnect there. Otherwise, the techs are courteous and knowledgeable. I don't mind paying more for that kind of service, but unless they can get the above described situation corrected I won't be back.
