The entire HVAC system was installed and maintained by Tom n his company. They have maintained the units and serviced them 2 x a year. We also had two repairs, both covered by the warranty that they fixed from start to finish. We appreciate the professionalism n trust Tom n his company to complete the job and complete it well. Repair work on vent elbow. Appears to be fine. Tom & Fernando always arrived on time and didn't leave until they completed what needed to be done. That was really impressive as they kept running into unexpected issues, yet stayed with it until they figured it out.even though it took a couple of 10 hr+ days. The system seems to work great. We highly recommend them.

I had very low expectations when my furnace stopped working this week. Although the local Carrier dealer that did my original install has primarily favorable reviews, my experience was quite the opposite. I was determined to find an alternate company to do my service. The Carrier website listed Precision Air as an option, and I cold-called them (pun intentional).
Their schedule was full, but they offered to fit me in at the end of the day. Although it must have been a very long day for Tom, he arrived fully masked, friendly, and ready to work. It felt more like I had a relative in the business, or at least someone that I had used for years. He made short work of getting the furnace back online and offered follow-ups. The cost was also a pleasant surprise. They truly exceeded my expectations.

The technician was on time and did an excellent job of determining the source of the fault code that was displayed on the thermostat, and then explained it to me in layman terms. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was courteous, polite and professional. He then performed the routine maintenance on my unit, changing filters and cleaning the system. Very happy!

I scheduled an appointment for a new hvac system quote after receiving high praise from my neighbor a Precision Air customer for years. Tom arrived early after a courtesy phone call. He was the perfect person to respond. Professional and friendly. Very knowledgeable from years of experience. Tom made the first step easy. Looking forward to the new system.

My experience with Precision Air was horrible. They replaced my furnance in Oct 2019, Tom Crammer told me my R-22 air conditioner would work fine with the new coil systems he had to attach to the furnance and my central air condition. My furnance was 35 years old and the motor broke and my AC system was only 5 years old. After Installation, the following day, My AC did not have any coolant in it.
I called his office for him to immediately come out he took 6 days. He put R-22 coolant in my AC in October 2019, and tried to charge me when it was his fault why I lost coolant. May 2020 it was time to turn back on my AC, no cool air. I called the office complaining about the issue, He fussed with me saying I just put coolant in October. So his tech and Tom comes to my home to find this leak that he caused, He said he found it and fixed it and its all good.
Come August 2020, I am out of coolant AGAIN!. Now this time he doesn't want to take ownership of his incompetence. So I took him to court in 2021, He lied and because he had the expertise the Judge awarded him the case. PLEASE DON'T MESS WITH THIS COMPANY, ITS NOT WORTH IT. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, Once the get YOUR MONEY, they don't wanna be bothered with you. And there Receptionist is Rude and Disrespectful. AWFUL COMPANY. My gut told me to not deal with them in the beginning, but I didn't listen.

After reading some reviews here I believe I had a totally different group so I checked but I am at the right place. I had my system installed through lowes and their contractor three years ago, 4 unit mini split system, and that contractor was initially great, honest with what he could be and took the time to do things right, or so I thought. each year I had a leak over the winter and had no coolant left, the first year as it was under warranty we had him come back out and repair a few leaks, needless to say their were plenty more leaks, and again he came out and fixed them, this summer I was fed up and started having Carrier Qualified people come out and look to see what the problem/s are. precision won the job on what I affectionately call the system from Hell. days of searching for leaks and sealing them, vacuuming the system, and fixing more leaks, and more leaks and more leaks. eventually after an extraordinary amount of time we felt we found all of them the vacuum held and they charged the system, since then my wife won't stop complaining that it is too cold, I am a polar bear when it comes to being cold. they were amazing in explaining things, and going over every little detail and so much more.
We would love to have a maintenance plan with them for our AC mini split and generac and boiler, we'd also like to know if they install attic gable fans. extremely satisfied client here. and all this with this covid stuff happening.

Very unprofessional company. Tom the owner gave me a quote for the job. He said verbally and in writing that he would be responsible to file for a state rebate. When Precision came to do the job I paid him for the job minus the amount for the rebate. Which is what the estimate stated. Keep in mind the amount was more than what he originally quoted me in writing.
And he got paid in full which the job wasn't even complete because of weather they couldn't do the bathroom vent. Two days later precision contacts me to say I need to fill out new paperwork? Much to my surprise it was another contract. The new contract was for the full amount which included the rebate amount. Six months later I get a bill saying I owe more money for the permit, this should have been picked up by Precision before the work was started?
I had to contact the NJOCE several times. The state came and inspected. Of course it failed. Tom charged me and I paid for something that wasn't even done. Thank God the State came out! I would never recommend this company. I was inconvenienced 9 times they came to my house. I was put in a financial situation with the rebate issue. I had to wait for months to get my rebate. Tom never apologized once. Very unprofessional. I will be contacting Consumer Affairs and BBB.

Tom from Precision Air just called and yelled at my mother because she complained about his terrible customer service. Our house had a central ac unit for the downstairs and nothing upstairs when we moved in but the only time we turned it on it poured water all over a TV in the basement. After many, many years of suffering in the heat my mother asked several ac contractors for estimates to fix the downstairs unit and install a new unit upstairs and Precision was chosen. T.

Our ac stopped working with a 16 month old in the middle of a 3 day heatwave. I called them because my thermostat has their information as they were the last to service the unit. Although they were extremely busy they called back that evening and had someone out the next day. I spoke with Tom on the phone and he was very nice and tried to problem solve over the phone which I thought was great.
Unfortunately the reset of the unit was not enough so Chris came over to work on the unit. Chris was extremely nice and efficient. We were billed instantly and the completion of the work and the entire process was perfect! Genie was very nice on the phone as well, who initially dispatched the service call. I have found it challenging to obtain a service provider, with a quote, service and bill quickly in this area and with Precision Air, all went according to our needs.

Similar to a previous reviewer.we called Precision Air to come out and give us an estimate for replacing one of our HVAC units (along with redoing the ductwork which wasn't working very well), as well as to advise us on some general home ventilation issues we were having. They were initially very responsive, quickly getting back to us and setting up an appointment.
They came out and seemed to be very thorough in doing an energy audit and looking at our HVAC unit and ductwork. They then said they would have a report/recommendation/estimate ready for us in about a week. After 2 weeks went by with no response, we followed up with multiple emails and phone calls over the next 3 weeks.and received no response at all.complete radio silence from them.
I guess it's better to find out now that they're completely unresponsive, but it's frustrating to have wasted 5 weeks of our time waiting for a response from them!

We had Precision Air come out and do an energy audit at our house. The scheduling process was smooth, and the technician who came out was very friendly and helpful. We were looking forward to working with Precision Air. However, two months then went by without receiving a copy of the audit. After calling three times and receiving promises of sending it (but never receiving it), we're giving up and getting the house re-audited by another company. The only silver lining is realizing how unresponsive Precision Air is before signing on any repairs/improvements.

My husband and I requested a quote for a new gas furnace and to put in central a/c. The person who came to our house, Charles, looked at everything and performed the tests was extremely professional and nice. He came the Friday before Memorial Day, it's now July 21st and we still have yet to even receive the estimate. My husband has called and e-mailed several times. He's called Charles and the main phone number.
The receptionist kept taking his message. Two weeks ago he spoke with the receptionist and was told everything was ready to go and she would have the estimate e-mailed to him and would schedule an appointment for that Saturday for someone to come to the house and go over everything. No one showed. The following week he had called again, the receptionist said she doesn't know why we haven't gotten anything yet and would reach out to Tom and get back to us. Nothing.
He called today as well, same story and we never heard back. It's been almost two months and we don't even have the estimate. Over these two months, we kept hearing we would receive it via e-mail, someone would drop it off, someone will go over it with us, nothing has happened though. Unacceptable for a business.

We had a problem with our heating system and had several technicians come out. The technician from Precision Air came out and recommended a new pipe unit and installing baseboards instead of the radiators that we currently had. Once my husband replaced the zone valve (at considerably less cost than a new system), the heater worked just fine. We were basically charged $98 for a technician to come out and give us inaccurate information which could have cost us thousands of dollars.

I had a great experience with Precision Air. When I turned on my AC for the first time this year it was blowing hot air. This is my first year in my house so we had no experience with any HVAC companies and there are a lot in the area so I just looked online and chose Precision. I was able to get on the list for someone to come out same day. The technician Aaron was really friendly and talked me through everything he was doing.
He also gave me some tips since this is my first home and I pretty much hand no clue what I'm doing. He was able to fix my knit on the spot. The only negative was that I asked the person I spoke to to have the tech call me 45 mins out so that I could leave work and meet them there and they didn't do that. Thankfully he was able to wait for me.
Also when I called to get an update after waiting about 5 hours from the time I first called they weren't the nicest. A few negatives but the work was great and a reasonable price so I will def use them again in the future.
