Our AC system blew the fourth night in our house after we moved in. We had a service member come out from Smith HVAC and after a quick review of our system, he said it was over 20 years old and needed to fully be replaced. The quote was for around $10,000. Being a bit shocked, a family friend recommended we call C&C in Hillsdale. The owner, Bill, came out and spent about an hour tinkering with the AC - eventually replacing a blown part.
The AC was working wonderfully after he left. His total cost was $250. He also said the unit was less than 10-years old and operates completely fine, we just needed a new transformer. I would HIGHLY recommend C&C for their fair, honest and genuine service. Thank you C&C!

Used them in the past but recently bad interaction. The tech is smooth talker but did not fix issue, just upcharged customer to top off refrigerant, even though he said it was good. Then you get surprise bill in the mail for overcharge and service not provided, if you ask if they can check if bill was right and that they never mentioned 1.5 hr minimum service charge, the secretary calls you a liar even though you have proof she could not have spoken with you live to tell you their minimum 1.5 hr policy, since she only left messages, even after tech finished service call, she left message to ask if she could still sent tech out later.
People make mistakes, not a problem but you should not be projecting your mistake on your customers and calling them a liar. Recent experience was just so bad, it just becomes so offensive to your customers. They never fix the issue and last tech left the freon No-vent caps off as well as lost the screws for the A/C covers. I called the owner and got hostile treatment again saying they would send another tech out only if I provide payment for their inflated bill when tech arrives, so gave them another chance, again tech arrive but very hostile as well, insisted on payment before evaluating the issue, claimed that the main circuit board was bad did some kind of bypass with the wires and said 3 days to order replacement part, again no estimate but claim front office would call.
Over 3 weeks later they have not called or come back, left the ac handler wires in a mess. This company does not behave like a honest legitimate business, avoid at all costs!
