A dry home can wreak havoc on your family's health, leading to respiratory system irritation, skin problems, and eye discomfort. Humidity is the level of moisture in the air, and without it your home is left dry, uncomfortable, and even harmful to your health. A whole house humidifier allows you to maintain the humidity in your home for greater climate control and comfort.

We spent a small fortune having this company replace upper and lower zone heating and cooling systems in our home. The lower system furnace was installed incorrectly. They mounted the fan to the floor joist. When it was operating, it sounded like a military helicopter was hovering outside. It took days and many calls to get them to come address the problem.
They said they were going to remove it from the floor joist mount and have the unit on blocks on the basement floor. The technicians were scheduled on a particular day and I waited all day. They arrive after dark and told me they were not going to be able to do the job as described because it was now after their usual work hours. They also didn't appear to have the blocks needed to move the unit to the floor.
They put some vibration dampers in, instead. This didn't fix the problem, so we had to have them come back again. This time, they still didn't put the unit on the floor. Instead, they adjusted the fan speed. A month later, in the middle of a freezing night, the units stopped working. I called their so-called emergency after-hours number.
I didn't get a call back and called again at 7:00, 7:30, 8:00. Finally at 8:30, I reached someone. She told me "someone would come when available". By 1:00PM, I still had not gotten a call from them. I called back, quite angry. The owner or general manager spoke to me and was extremely rude and still could not tell me when they would arrive. He told me "you can always call another company".
Mind you, this was a month-old system that we had paid 5-figures for. When their technician finally arrived, it turned out the thermostat had been installed incorrectly and a wire had come loose in it (because the thermostat was loose and moved around when being adjusted). Unreal. Unprofessional. This is no way to treat a customer who has trusted you to install an extremely expensive home system.

They took a large and unnecessary mark-up on supplies used to make repairs; I determined this by calling another similar business and asking what they would charge for the same materials. This was a disappointment to me. They seemed like sincere and affable repairmen, but I will only use them now if I can't get someone else to come to do repairs. I'd recommend keeping them in your address book as an emergency contact; have a different service in your address book as your primary go-to guy.

Highly recommend Blue Ridge Heating and A/C and I've been a customer for over 10 years. They have installed both heat pumps at my house and have provided OUTSTANDING PROMPT and FRIENDLY service. John and Trent have always gone out of their way to ensure my family stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is nice to have someone to call who I can trust!

This must be the same company called Blue Ridge Heating & Air Conditioning located in Brightwood, VA. The job was to check the heat pump to see how much freon has leaked since my last technician (who was on vacation) added 1/2 lbs about 3 months ago, and add a stop leak. So I called Blue Ridge Heating & Air Conditioning and told them about the history.
On the day of the appt, Blue Ridge was 4 hours late and said that they forgot about this appointment. He checked the freon and said it appears fine and there appears to be no leak--although I told him that a previous technician added 1/2 lbs of freon 3 months ago--and therefore when a freon is added to the system, there is and should still be a leak.
He went downstairs to the basement to check the system. However, he did not put on covers on his shoes going inside my house and he saw that I changed my shoes to slippers upon entering my house. He tested the air duct punching a hole in in the flexible duct connector (the one that looks like a foil) when there is already place to insert the testing instrument on the duct.
He said everything read fine. I asked him about the hole that he put in my flexible duct and he said there should not be a problem and no air should leak out--although there is a hole in it that he just put in. He said that he does not recommend the stop leak since there is no leak and I told him that if a freon is added in the past, then I believe there is a leak.
So I told him to go ahead and install the stop leak. He kind of fumbled around trying to use the stop leak but eventually got the fluid in. I am not sure if the technician is experienced enough to do work on the system. I did not have a high confidence and am still concerned with the hole he punched in my flexible duct connector

Ripped off my father. Installed a new thermostat. Did not program it. Was not working properly came back to "fix" the problem. Stayed for 3-4 minutes stated no problem and charged $95 for service call. My father called a different company. They came out found the problem and fixed it for the same price but actually completing the job. Will not use again.
