The technician (I believe his name was Danny) was so friendly and figured out the issue very quickly. On top of fixing the problem he took the time to explain what caused it and how I could prevent it in the future by doing some regular maintenance on my own. Service: A/C system maintenance

The worst service we have ever experienced. They installed our HVAC system we bought from them for $7500 and in less than 3 years the fan seized up and we waited for 3 weeks to get it replaced and now this year the FAN motor has died. Total Comfort, after waiting two weeks for the new motor to come in they ORDERED THE WRONG ONE! Then they blamed it on the distributor sending the wrong one which they must have NEVER checked when it came in because as soon as the tech came and saw the system he said it was the wrong one.

Now here it is going on another almost two weeks and haven't heard a peep from them. This I might add is summer in Virginia and we have been having 95° heat but with no air conditioning thanks to Total Comfort. DO NOT RECCOMEND!

When they came out to measure for our new AC unit installation, they did not note that they were unable to install without us taking our custom closets apart. So they came a few days later install and had to reschedule. We had been without AC for several days and now it would be longer because we weren't told to disassemble the closet. Once they finally installed the unit, they broke the remaining shelf in our closet and then lied to me about how it happened. I am not happy and am not sure I can even re-assemble the closet shelves now .

Paul & Tre arrived early and were extremely friendly, courteous and professional! They worked fast and efficiently but made sure explain their work to me, answer questions and made friends with my three dogs! Overall a great experience and I highly recommend them. Service: Install AC

Total Comfort installed out HVAC 20 years ago when we built out house. They have given us amazing service ever since. This past moth both units died and couldn't be repaired because of the new Freon requirements. They gave us extra consideration for that and had both units replaced within 5 days. They were also $5000.00 less than the other quotes we got. We couldn't be happier.

Woke up on cool, not cold, but not comfortable, turned on the heating unit to 68 degrees. Heat did not start on. Tried tried the emergency unit and it worked. Called Total Confort where they said the could get a technician out in the afternoon. The later, 10 minutes, they called back to say their was a tect on the way. Checked the unit that had started working in the meantime, completely. Found nothing wrong and the unit has worked perfectly. Very satisfied with the quick response.

Danny arrived first thing in the morning and after an initial inspection, he prepared the work area to ensure no damage to our counters. He wore protective covers over his shoes and a mask for Covid protection. He explained everything as he went along, thoroughly tested the drain after making adjustments, and then cleaned up afterwards. Very professional and friendly, I would recommend Danny to anyone that needs some work done.

When the guy who was checking my heating/ac system told me that I had an active leak in the crawlspace, he recommended that I call Total Comfort. He called them up and gave them my number. They called me immediately and quickly agreed to send someone out right away. Danny arrived on time, assessed the problem, found the part in his truck and promptly fixed the leak.

All of this was late on a Friday afternoon. They even gave me 5% off for being a Vet. Great service. Very professional and I greatly appreciated their help and support. I live alone and I'm 82, and this sure meant a lot to me. Thanks again to Danny and Total Comfort! Highly recommend these guys! :

Absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with. Forgot to send the warranty paperwork in for a new unit they sold me and installed, then when I needed a leaking coil replaced after only 2 years, I came to find out I had no warranty, as no paperwork was filed to register my unit. Total Comfort told me that they had told me I had to register it. myself, though that was not their "normal" operational procedures? Let alone I was never told such a thing. Total Lies and Total Disappointment is a much more appropriate name for this company. - Stay Away from this company.

My name is Charito Willis, and our heating unit broke down. My and husband and I was worried, it will cost a lot of money. My husband called Total Comfort and they were nice to send a Comfort Specialist right away. Mr. Cliff Allen came and who was very knowledgeable of his products, professionally suggested the right kind of heater that we needed.

He even called his company if they can help to install the heater ASAP. Total Comfort even let us borrowed space heaters. Even Dan and Darius the installers are nice and professionals I would strongly recommend this company and their people.

Total Comfort Heating, Air & Plumbing was very responsive when I requested an appointment to consult about cost efficient means for switching from propane convection heat / window air conditioners during my home renovation. Total Comfort was very thoughtful in the approach to solve my home's issues and presented me with a few different options. Ultimately, I selected a ductless air/heat option that really works great for us!

What I loved and appreciated most about Total Comfort is punctuality, in-depth knowledge of their profession, honesty and helpfulness! After the ductless system was installed one of the guys even came out to walk me thru how to use the system (which was super system)! Very disappointed! We called Total Comfort for after hours service on August 14 at 5:50pm and spoke with a Ms. Morrison who said she would let Total Comfort know that the Air Conditioning unit stopped working and that the owner is 97 years old with breathing issues. We gave 2 callback numbers to ensure we missed no calls and no one has called us. back.

It is Sunday August 15 at 12:14pm and no one has showed up yet. The owner has a 10 year warranty on this unit she purchased on 2018. I am her grandaughter who is visiting and very upset that no one would at least give us a time or date so we could have least rented a hotel room for her comfort until this unit was fixed.

Huge shout out to the on call technician Thursday night. We arrived home to a very hot house. Thermostat wasn't working either. I forgot young man's name, but he called back quickly, asked a few questions and walked my husband through what he thought the problem was. Bingo! Problem solved. We purchased a new unit several years ago through Total Comfort and they have always been great to work with. Highly recommend.

Zane came out today to replace our leaky water heater. We called around 9:30 and were delighted that he would be able to come out the same day. He arrived and accessed the situation and explained what we needed and why. Zane was professional and personable. He kept us apprised of his progress. He completed the job in a timely manner. Zane explained what was done and proper maintenance. He answered other plumbing related questions for us. We would highly recommend Zane and Total Comfort!

Dan and Chris did a great job installing a new heat pump and indoor unit. There work is professional and clean. All their trash was cleaned up a the end of the day. They also answered all of my questions with clear answers.

My repairman AJ, did a good job explained how my system was doing was neat and mannerly.

They are the best. Always on time, courteous, know what they are doing, and always do a good job. I highly recommend Total Comfort.

A HUGE shout out n thnk u to ZANE! Thanx to this guy i have hot water again! He was very polite and knew exactly what he was doin! Had others come to fix the prob but i ended back at square 1 everytime. Zane got it right the first try and was fairly fast about it. Very satisfied with his work and would recommend him for the future. Thank u a million times Zane.

Total Comfort is a great company to deal with. The technician is always so courteous, helpful and explains everything that he did today to service our HVAC. The staff in the office is exceptional and it is always so good to deal with them.

Worst customer service ever! We waited weeks and spent over 1,000 just for them to tell us the actual repair was going to be 1,000 more dollars. I got lower quotes from two other companies who made it a priority to come out the next day and not leave us in the middle of july with no a/c for weeks. We are an active duty military family and they completely scammed us.

We have been using Total Comfort for a number of years and have always had good service. Our last call was probably the best yet. The service technician throughly explained the problem and what we could do to prevent the problem from returning.

This company concentrates on getting you to sign the big contract, after that they couldn't care less. A salesman & an estimator came out, recommended putting air handler in an odd place in attic, register in hallway ceiling. They said installation could be done in one day. I came home from work on install day & was told that my whole house fan was in the way of the planned register. Solution: Techs told me I would have to remove fan & construct frame to their specs before they could install the register. Otherwise, they would have to return another day & charge me more.

I had a $9000 contract with them and the install was planned by their estimator. I called the salesman, but he refused to overrule the techs. Unprofessional, Unethical, Unacceptable. Additionally, the workers had removed my old air handler & placed it in their van. I informed them that it was my property & they need to leave it, as I planned to sell it as aluminum scrap.

I failed to follow up on this since I was tired out from removing fan, building register frame ( I am not a carpenter!) Not only did they take it anyway, the outdoor unit disappeared mysteriously a couple of days later.

We hired TC to install two new units after buying one from TC last summer for another property. We were very pleased with the service and quality! They were competitively priced, courteous and obviously skilled and efficient. Customer service was always responsive to my questions, and always promptly followed up with concening our price quote requests and reminders about our install schedule. Chad, Tim, Bobbitt and Bret arrived early and quickly accomplished the install to our satisfaction.

Since TC couldn't install for a couple weeks from the time of our order, they even brought in THEEE complimentary temporary air conditioning units immediately so our three level home would stay at a comfortable temperature pending the install! They brought them the same day as promised. We were extremely pleased with their friendly service and professionalism! Go with Total Comfort, they are the BEST!

Paid 1200 to fix emergency heat problem being on (600$ power bill). 6 months later, same problem occurred again and Total Comforts 1 year "warranty" didnt cover it. Instead they sent out a guy who incorrectly re wired the ac to turn the Emergency heat BACK ON and shorted a wire making it worse. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE and warranty is completely bogus.

I contacted Total Comfort several months ago because of issues we were having with our geothermal system. Tim (the owner) was very responsive and came up with a solution that our current provider of 17 years had not mentioned. They quoted a solution that solved our problem, we were billed exactly what they said we'd be billed, they staff showed up pretty much when they said they would, and everything is working fine. Total Comfort is our new heating and cooling company (though we hope we won't need them for a long time).
