Always do top notch work. Metal ducting that is always sealed and installed correctly. Other companies typically only do flex duct now and rats chew through it like crazy.

I recently had a heat pump installed by Vashon Heating and Cooling. It was a complicated process because it was dual zone and involved duct work. Vashon Heating and Cooling did superb technical job. And their customer service was equally excellent. I'm delighted with my new heat pump and the overall experience.

Super service of new heat pump with air cleaner plus a new hot-water heater and expansion tank. Very thorough work to include application of rebates and registration of new equipment. I didn't have to do a thing. For all work that was done, price seemed reasonable. Extremely capable and knowledgeable, not to mention friendly people. I highly recommend Vashon Heating & Cooling.

We had an old oil furnace that was overdue for replacement and Vashon Heating and Cooling did a fantastic job of providing an excellent value with a modern and efficient system. The new system required some adjustments to the location and ductwork that added a little time to the install but the system functions perfectly, We couldn't be more pleased with the level of service and attention to detail provided by Daniel, Mario and Matt and highly recommend them for future work.

Our remodel contractor hired Vashon Heating and Cooling. After they roughed-in the hydronic floor and we informed them we were ready to finish the system they never got back with us. Weeks of calling and finally showing up at their door they finally told us they would not finish the job with no explanation or help understanding what was needed to finish the job (other than a mis-leading comment to hire an engineer).

We were left with a box of parts that others had to inform us were not the right parts to finish the job. After pushing, Vashon Heating and Cooling did provide some of the missing parts. In the end we lost time and money with this contractor. Finally we had West Sound Comfort finish the job with great communication, a fair price and excellent results.

We had a generator go bad and fry several mini-split heater / AC thingies. Vashon heating and Cooling did a great job getting us back up and running. Special kudos goes to Matt who worked his butt off all by himself, often out in the cold rain and in the dark, getting everything up and running perfectly. This was above and beyond expectations, and every single of the 5 stars here were in no doubt absolutely well earned.

They are local and friendly. They have competitive pricing. High, like everyone else in region. They are responsive to urgent repair needs, particularly for the elderly. Terrible experience with this company. They designed and installed a HVAC system for our remodel in 2002. It was expensive and has never worked properly. We've had several service calls since in an effort to fix it. All unsuccessful. On the last service call, November 23, 2016, we had an 11am appointment. I called the day before to make sure they were coming and to explain our problems again so they would be prepared for the service.

This is a summer home on Vashon Island and it requires an all day trip from my home in Olympia to be there for the service. At 11:30, I called their office and said no one has come yet. They said I should have been told (I never was) the appointment has a 2 hour window, 11:00-1:00. At 1:00, I called again because no one had come. They said they would try to find the tech and call me right back.

They called back at 2:00 and said they couldn't find the tech. I explained that I had to catch a 3:10 ferry home and was running out of time. At 2:50 I called them and said, no one has showed and I was leaving. I was very unhappy. I called the company and emailed the owner. They have yet to get back to me. I left home that day at 8:45am and didn't get back until 5:30pm.

It took my whole day, not to mention ferry fare and gas. My only recommendation is DON'T do business with Vashon Heating and Cooling. They are a bad business with poor service.

David and his team installed completely new ductwork and insulation under our house, which involved removing all the old ductwork, insulation, plastic ground cover and two defunct old furnaces. This was a big and nasty project. The team completed the job efficiently, timely, and were very professional. I was always kept informed of their progress, any delays and the reasons, and the cleanup job was excellent.

The job took about 6 or 7 working days, as I recall. Cleanup was done at the end of each day. Before and after pictures were provided. I would recommend this company to anyone, for both service and installation. They also installed a new furnace for us at another time.

Vashon heating and cooling services my gas fireplace, which is a little balky. Shawn has done both the maintenance and repairs on it. He arrives on time and is thorough and methodical. Explains things to me clearly, even allowing me to do a short video of him while he explained how to re-set it. Thank you! I recommend them highly.

Matt came to our house on time and put plastic booties over his shoes to protect our floors. he was very clean cut and extremely courteous. solved our problem and installed the new part cleaned up after himself and gave complete info as to the billing process. thanked us for our business and shook hands as he departed i cannot say enough as to how great it was to have him (a rep of vashon heating) in our home. maurice bud gersh

This is a great company. I called because I didn't have heat, Matt came out that same day and they diagnosed the issue, ordered a part and then repaired my furnace. Matt was patient with my questions and walked me through how to avoid problems with my heating and was very pleasant to work with. From the moment I called them to the point that everything was finished, the work was highly professional and well done. I highly recommend them.

Generally my experience on Vashon with services has been really solid. Typically we still receive personal and contentious service. However, my experience with VHC has been anything but positive. I had a very simple project for them, simply running 10 feet of gas line from a propane tank to a generator. I called they set up an appointment to come out, i stayed home to meet them and they canceled on NO notice.

We repeated this exact experience 3 days later. I then set up one last appointment which was once again canceled. This time though they called back having "found somebody" to come out to quote. He promised to have me the quote within a day or two. ---- Remember that we are simply talking about running 10 feet of 3/4 steel pipe.---- three weeks later i have still not heard from them. Obviously i got tired of waiting and went to a different contractor.

The only reason these people are still in business is because they are the only game in town. But for what it cost me to fix the mistakes they left behind, I should have just paid more for someone from the mainland to begin with. Don't believe a word they say in their estimates. They have no compunction with charging you five times what they said it would cost and threatening to sue you if you don't pay.

Our propane heater broke down, so I called these guys to get it fixed. Turns out our thermostat was broken, so they replaced it on the spot. Very friendly and nice folks, I'd highly recommend them.
