We recently had to have our ancient oil tank and furnace replaced. We did both thru Moyer, who were fabulous from start to finish. Everyone was honest, efficient, and worked with us to make sure the job was done without breaking the bank. Their work is meticulous and I would not hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to family and friends.

What a great company. Had them install and 500 gallon LP tank for our new generator. Everyone i have dealt with here has been a pleasure to work with. The sales guy, scheduling dept, billing and the 2 guys who came out to install the tank. Calls do not go unanswered, they are all very professional and attentive. Great team!

I have used Moyer Indoor-Outdoor for my landscape, HVAC, pest control and plumbing needs for over 10 years. I proudly support local businesses even if it may cost a few more dollars. However, after my last two HVAC experiences with Moyer, I am extremely disappointed and quite frankly disgusted with their lack of professionalism, transparency and blatant price gouging.
In November 2021, a Moyer technician (who will remain nameless for now), came to my home after my 7 yr old, $12,000, Lennox system that Moyer installed, threw a trouble code shutting down my gas furnace in the winter. Usually I am present and will be at home for any services but this time, I was tied up at work so my wife met with the Moyer tech. I was available by text, so I told my wife to text me before committing to anything so she didn't feel intimidated or pressured.
Within 10 minutes of the tech's arrival, I received a text from my wife that the thermostat needed replacement at a cost of $1200. I asked what the diagnosis was and the part number of the thermostat, as that seemed to be a pretty quick and expensive conclusion. No response. Next update from my wife was the thermostat was fine and the tech was now recommending a new 20' thermostat wire be run at a cost of $350.
I confirmed several times with my wife just to make sure I understood this correctly.we initially are told within minutes we needed a $1200 thermostat, now we no longer needed the $1200 thermostat, but instead a $350 thermostat wire? Still no explanation or diagnosis of what the problem was. I already had a pic of my thermostat with the trouble code displayed my son sent me that any Google search would provide some info/insight.
I text my wife to let her know that I didn't feel comfortable authorizing anything based on what I felt was an obvious, unscrupulous, money grab and pressure sales pitch, so make me the bad guy and let the Moyer tech know I wasn't comfortable proceeding. A system reset was performed and the furnace has been trouble free since. Today, 5/13/22, I turn on my air conditioning, no cold air blowing.
Call Moyer Indoor, leery now thanks to my prior experience, but mainly because the Lennox system was still covered under the initial parts warranty. The same Moyer technician responded. I escort the tech to the basement, explain the issue and make some small talk. The tech discovers my coil had begun to freeze over, an indication that I was possibly running low on refrigerant.
He also discovers that dye had already been introduced into the refrigerant and told me my coil was leaking as evidenced by the glowing dye around the coil and in the condensate pipe. Tech explained I was lucky as the coil would be covered under warranty, however labor and the cost of the refrigerant would not be. Told me I would be looking at over $2000 for the repair. Didn't explain part cost or labor hours, just threw out a number. Sounded like another $1200 thermostat.
I explained that since the coil failed, a covered part, which caused the refrigerant to escape, I should not be responsible for the recharge. "Not my policy, call the office." I ask the tech for his boss to discuss, while he recalculates his repair price. I'm provided two names, call office and told one gentleman is on phone currently, I assume w/ tech who went out to his van.
I leave info for a callback, never received. Tech returns, tells me his "bottom line price" is now $1450 for the repair, yet still charging me $350 for for up to 3 lbs 410A refrigerant. Tells me both his bosses are "gone for the weekend, " yet one of them had just been on their office phone? I asked the tech to leave. Shame, this company was very different a few years ago and what made them special has been stripped away by how their techs operate in the field which reflects poorly on the Moyer name. As of this writing, I've heard nothing back from Moyer.

Moyer told us they were coming today. They showed up at 2:30 talked to someone that didn't live here looked and MY WATER DRAINAGE and said there was water on the ground and told her to wait few weeks for it to dry. ITS A WATER DRAIN. It's never going to dry. After calling back and speaking with the tech she said she was at home now? She was completely unprofessional and late. I do not recommend Moyer. There always seems to be some excuse as to why they can't come or why they for got to show up or why they can't do the job.

I have been a customer of Moyer indoor outdoor for over 5years now and never had any issues with them. I always prepay for lawn and tree and shrubs each year. I would think that Emoyer would like to o keep my business and even refer them to friends and family. I do not know if there is change in leadership or what, but I reached out to them more than 6times in the last 3weeks to prepay but their customer service is extremely poor.
Their sales rep Robert Gaunt does not have time to pick up calls or answer them back or answer his email. After I complained, he called me once and has since not answered my calls or emails. I have decided to take my business elsewhere! I want all my friends to know to avoid Moyer Indoor and outdoor and find other companies.

Whenever I need bird seed I buy it from Moyer. They have a feed mill that blends many different varieties of bird seeds. They have gourmet bird seed. They have a great special all the time - 3 20 lb bags for $24. It's called smorgasbord blend. It has all different seeds in it. Seeds for every kind of bird. Try it. I believe it will be your go to seed and Moyer will become your new supplier.

When my heat didn't heat Moyer came right out, on a Saturday, cleaned out the line and told me that my 80-year-old oil tank most likely needed to be replaced. He explained about how the tank was probably deteriorating from the inside where you can't see it. I like having things explained. They replaced the old tank with a brand new one with a thirty-year guarantee. Wish my doctor could give ME a thirty-year guarantee. They worked swiftly, left everything cleaner than they found it, just like we Girl Scouts always did.

We have had so many different services provided by Moyer just within the year we've lived here and we absolutely love them. The best part is that they will send the same person that's been to your home before so they know you and your home and (and our dog that always want to help). These guys are so professional and knowledgable. If they need to come back and correct something it's always without a cost. My friend out of state is always complaining of her home services and honestly, I will miss having such an awesome company that can provide every service if we move.

We have had Moyer out several times. Each time, they are highly professional a d I am very well pleased with their plumbers and their willingness to help with problems that arise. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They stand behinds their work and the folks at the office are extremely helpful. No messages and long menus to wade through,

I don't understand how these guys stay in business. About two months ago I asked them to come treat my place for lanterflies. A guy came out and said he had the wrong truck to do the service. He said they'll contact me in a day or two. A week later I called back and they said they'd be out in a couple days. Nothing. I called back several times and they finally said they already did the service and gave me the wrong address. Long story short I must have spoken with them ten times. After another no show they just ghosted me. Huh? At least the lady who answers the phone is nice.

Multiple issues with HVAC system at my father's home. Substantial charges incurred in July and September 2019. Communication from Moyer was that the issue was not present, system was in great condition. Also damage to interior of the home due to "sludge" clogging the drainage system which they denied was from their system. Every year the system was serviced and was supposed to be thoroughly checked.
Clearly all of those service fees over the years was just "routine". Sludge should not have built up to the level it had. The tech even put in a mold component in September (Clearly they understood that it was their fault but denied it at the time) Had to have remediation work done to an entire wall and ceiling. Did not run the air for the remaining of 2019 after the technician visit.
When we turned on the system this season on May 28th, it wasn't working again. Technician came to home and now we are being told system is shot and needs to be completely replaced. Not sure how spending $700 in September for "work done" and finding no issues, not running the system until May 28th only to find out that we had the exact same issue as we did in July and September (charged both times) and system is shot. Now they quote a $12K system. Would not recommend. They over charge, they provide misinformation. Horrible experience.

I have been using this company for YEARS for a variety of needs. I have always been VERY happy with them. Recently I purchased a garbage disposal from them and had it installed. They left me a postcard to fill out to register it with the company who made it. BUT.they didn't leave me the serial number and I can't get under the sink to get it.
So I called. They checked and called me back and said they don't have it. They offered to send someone to get it for me but said, several times, "when you buy a TV they don't give you the serial number, you have to get it yourself." Slightly different, don't you think? I'm hoping I got a bad customer service rep this time and that their service has not changed.

Use extreme caution when using Moyer Indoor/Outdoor. The technician that came out said that we would need a new compressor on a 6 year old unit that would run us approx $3200 and then billed me almost $300 to come out even though the agreed upon charge was $89 to diagnose the problem. After some back and forth with Moyer and only when my husband had to step in did the charge go down to the agreed upon $89.
We then got a 2nd opinion by a competitor (who was much more professional) who correctly diagnosed our issue and only costed us $170 TOTAL even with diagnosing the issue for us the second time. Our unit has been running great ever since. Another billing issue with Moyer. I had paid Moyer on the date of service for the $89 but yet months later I get a statement in the mail that I had not paid and that I was over 30 days late with payment. Called the next date and provided my card a SECOND time to Moyer. Please use extreme caution when using this vendor - so many better options out there.

0 stars! I called on Saturday and made an appointment for spider treatment for Tuesday at 7 am. Called Tuesday at 7:30 am to ask where they were, was told (for the first time) that it was actually a "Window" and that the technician would be here sometime between 7 & 10 am. I called them back AGAIN at 10:05, was told "Oh, we have you down for today, but there's no time listed.
Let me call you back". Someone else called 5 minutes later, very snippy, and very rudely said "We have no technicians in your area today, " like I was just calling for the first time and hadn't booked this appointment days previously, and confirmed it 3 times! There was a different person on the phone each time, and no one knew what the other one was doing.
Very unprofessional, and very rude! I stayed home from work for this! I called another company, they had someone here within a couple of hours, who took care of everything. I will NEVER use or recommend Moyer!

Lawn service: took only 2 years of "service" to turn perfect lawn to one that needs constant work. Ineffective pre emergent app, ineffective weed control, ineffective fertilizer. Suddenly, Moyer says I need Lime app, aeration and seeding; all ineffective and all paid in full. "Management" is then full of excuses, then downright aggressive and disrespectful, essentially accusing me of asking for "freebies". BEWARE

Worst customer service experience from "supervisor" as well as plumber. I have used this company in the past without issue, but this time was so bad I will never use them again. It took 3 weeks to get a part for the sink for our place of business. I had to call twice to request updates on our part and when our sink would be fixed. Finally, I was transferred to a supervisor who said she would "take responsibility" but never apologized.
They sent a service man over to finally fix, and he was rude and said "none of this is my fault". I'm glad their business is so busy they can afford give poor customer service and be unprofessional. I will find someone who values customer service, stands by their work and exhibits good communication and client skills. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I have had a problem with ants in one area of my kitchen for a long time. A technician named Crystal came out today and was incredibly thorough with her inspection, including crawling into my basement crawl space! She took her time inside and out and showed me exactly where and how the ants were coming in. She was very knowledgeable and seemed to actually enjoy her work! Already it's much better and I'm confident this is going to be resolved thanks to her persistence.

We just went through an entire heating season with Self Heating and Cooling as our propane supplier and heating repair company. They did everything perfectly. Never once came close to running out of propane. Customer service was outstanding, and their service technician that came to our house was first rate. We are very pleased that we found such a great service oriented company, and be sure we will be signing up with them for the next heating season. Thanks, Self.

We signed up for a service contract with Moyer Indoor/outdoor. We were told they would bill us monthly for the service contract, which is the only reason we signed up for it, because we didn't have to pay all of it up front. We received a bill in the mail for the whole amount and my husband called them several times and gave them the name of the girl who sold us the service contract and told them we were supposed to be billed monthly.
They said that's is not how our plan was set up and we have to pay it all in full or it will be sent to collections! This is the last time I will ever use them! Moyer does not stand by their word at all! They just want to make a sale!

I have used them for lawn care for two years and today I cancelled. This season I found the sales department to be relentless, actually coming out and inspecting for services I had not expressed an interest in. They called several times also. I expect them to make agreed upon applications that are in the best interest of me and my lawn. I found they wanted to apply seed on ground that had no rain for weeks; the birds will eat the seed.
I had to call and cancel. The core aereation was about half the holes the previous company did. When the ground was covered with a couple of inches of leaves, they applied fertilizer saying it will roll off. They came at 8 am before I was dressed and I mentioned it when I called about the fertilization to customer service, Donna, who was rude. This week they came at 7am for their guaranteed repeat application.
I saw no activity on my lawn, only the truck. On one occasion last year the technician left an invoice in plastic in the door that reeked of gasoline oder and fumes. I had to take it outside to a garbage bin and I called about that. Lawn care is a luxury and I don't want to deal with a company that increasingly is exasperating.

I have been using Moyer for home heating oil delivery for roughly two years. I was surprised to find my bill for the last delivery to be about the same as last year when oil was a dollar a gallon more. The price I paid was 3.29/gallon while other local firms are selling for 2.41/gallon. I paid an additional $189. Shame on me for not checking before hand and shame on Moyer for price gouging. I will not be using them again. Follow up: Today I called Moyer for current price - $2.899/gal. I ordered from Ranson for $2.169/gal. Steinly was $2.319/gal.

SCAM! We just got a bill for $79.50 for service that wasn't performed nor contracted to perform on a radon detector we don't even have installed in the house! Frankly, I don't even think we've ever used this company before! Stay away! There is supposed to be a signature on the bill from the customer or there's a box that's supposed to be checked stating the customer was unavailable. Neither one is filled in. What do these people think - we're just going to blindly pay a bill without looking at it?!?

I was so frustrated by my transaction. I scheduled an inspection three weeks in advance. They said they would give me a time the day before. No call.,,s o I called them because I needed to know the time. No record if me. I was on the phone for an annoying 30 minutes going through possible misspellings etc. I think they just rescheduled me. It was supposed to be between 2 and 5.
They called at 1:00 to say they would be there at 1:30. I was leaving work early so this was not enough time for me to get there. Then $350 for 45 minutes of looking at the pool and saying it looked fine. (It was an inspection). I went into the office to pay a few weeks later. After 10 minutes of people looking confused, They said they couldn't process the payment at that time but would take my information.
Two weeks later, I get a call that I owe finance charges for non payment. Luckily, when I explained what happened, they said this happened to others, so it wasn't a surprise. This was a lot of time and effort for a "your pool looks good."

Fabulous company. We've had heating and air conditioning service for 20 years with this company. Prompt service calls, polite and considerate staff, quick service. Lost our heat last night during snow storm. They offered to come out in the middle of the storm. We said to wait until morning. Repairman Don was here by 7:00 am. Heat fixed! Definitely recommend this company.
