Had furnace, humidifier and air conditioner install at our new Condo by Great Dane Heating and Cooling. As homeowners of nearly 30 years, we've been through this before, actually twice at our home we just sold. But, the First time with this company. We regret we didn't use them for the other two installs at our past home those former years. The install team that we had, Wesley and Kelley, were two of the most professional, capable, patient, informative, quick and efficient people we've dealt with over the years (including those who have worked on our roof, privacy fence, windows, etc.) They listened to our concerns before starting the job. Explained the type of system we chose and how it functions, what to expect. Made sure we understood and were completely respectful and courteous.

You could tell these two were not just "doing a job".but rather, took pride in their work and genuinely seemed to like their trade. And people. And it showed! The customer service on the phone from Amber and Shannon before and after the job have been phenomenal as well! Everything from the beginning estimate quote and explaining systems and asking what OUR needs were from Steve Ford, to the phone and email services, to the install, to the products, the reputation, etc. is exactly why we'll be happy to recommend them going forward to anybody that has any HVAC needs. Great Dane installed our furnace and central air 6 years ago. The AC would not turn on this year. Made arrangements for a service call from 12-4PM. Showed up from 3-6:30PM (made me miss my daughter's dance recital - big problem). The technician determined that the low-pressure switch failed and there was a loss of refrigerant from some unknown location.

After 6 years the AC system is broken and leaks. I was quoted $129 for a service call and ended up being charged $309 and no repairs were made. The technician left the scene with the AC unit in the same condition as he found it. Now I need to schedule another service call to repair the failed low pressure switch and recharge the system. Can't wait to see how much I'll get more money I'll be forced to spend. Major fail. Do yourself a favor and call someone else.

Madison was absolutely wonderful! She was early, professional and friendly. She was quite informative about the details of the maintenance performed. She also did not try to sell me anything I didn't need which is so much appreciated and rare these days. She even gave me a reminder about a rebate that I could use. Their prices were reasonable. I would absolutely use Great Dane Heating and Cooling in the future.

The technician, Wesley Bernard, that did my AC install did a great job. Very prompt and easy to have work in my home. Being a retired tradesman myself, I left him alone and allowed him to do the job. I know I appreciated that when I was actively working myself. They were neat and cleaned up when the job was done. I'm very happy to have chosen Great Dane to do the work.

I called Great Dane on a Saturday morning and the technician arrived that afternoon on time to check out my furnace that was not blowing hot air. The tech, Kristofer, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He showed me the problem and advised me accordingly to my satisfaction. Cost was reasonable for a weekend service call. My brother in law Dominic works for Great Dane as a service tech and recommended them for installation. I can't say enough good things about the level of professionalism and knowledge that the crew displayed. I wish I could remember all their names and I'm hoping if Great Dane sees this post that they will be well rewarded for the job they did. I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for heating and cooling services.

The guys put in a new hot water tank and did a excellent job. They were courteous friendly and professional and also informative. When they left I couldn't tell that they were ever here because it was just as clean as when they arrived. Great Dane also installed my furnace and AC a number of years ago and that's why I went to them for my hot water heater. I knew I would get a clean professional no nonsense job.

Great Dane Heating & A/C is a great company! The technician called ahead to announce his arrival time and arrived on time, and was wearing full PPE. He was very professional and personable. The company sent me an email prior to the technician's arrival with his ETA, name and photo. That was a plus these days when safety and security has become an issue for homeowners.

He answered my questions politely and thoroughly, and gave me a full report. He properly disposed of old pads and filters, and left no mess. I would recommend Great Dane to heating/cooling system, repair or maintenance!

The technician Dominic was very professional and very knowledgeable. I had another company come out and perform maintenance and they found 2 things in the amount of $2000.00 that needed to be replaced Dominic found that my furnace was operating fine he could not find any problems with it at all. I would have your company come out and perform maintenance on my furnace again gladly and I would recommend you to my friends and neighbors. They were great we lost both hot water heater and furnace in June flooding. They went above and beyond in helping us and in follow up after the service. Ownership actually redirected team to help prevent further damage when second storm hit. Great value for service.

Our home warranty that we purchased through DTE sent Brian from Great Dane to our house when our hot water heater was having issues. What. A. Disaster. He assessed the situation and it ended up being an issue with a nest in our exhaust chimney. It was unseasonably cold/freezing rain so he established he would be back the next day to replace the chimney liner and complete the job.

Fast forward 20 hours later, when he showed up early afternoon and after 90 minutes both he and a coworker decided NOT to complete the job due to "personal safety".mind you no snow or rain etc any longer and it was dry and sunny. He was extremely unprofessional and mislead us, so now with 3 small children and 2 dogs we were left to go stay at a local hotel last minute and find care for our dogs elsewhere, so we would have heat and hot water in freezing temps with our kids.

Not only was the unexpected cost infuriating, but by the time he left in the afternoon it had us scrambling to find someone else to come finish the repair ASAP. I contacted his manager who didn't rectify the situation and only offered a casual apology. Thank goodness we found another HVAC company who came the next afternoon and didn't seem to have any of the same alleged personal safety issues that Brian and his coworker had.

This made the entire situation ever more insane, two people with the same profession, one gets the job done.and the other is lazy. Needless to say we contacted DTE to let them know our dissatisfaction with this company and would recommend you go elsewhere!

They couldn't have been better. Dave Schultz was our technician and he was very knowledgeable and past that on to us before he left. Nick our salesman was very courteous and took time out to know what we wanted and sold us exactly what we wanted, didn't over sell. I would highly recommend them. GREAT COMPANY!

Very friendly and amazing work. Our air conditioning didn't work in the summer. I have kids and animals. They made sure to get it back up and running. And called a day or two after to make sure everything was good. Our one technician took time out and made sure to interact with our dog. We appreciate them!

Great Dane did a fabulous job installing my new high efficiency furnace. They were so concerned of making sure they kept the areas tidy and neat. They took time to make sure I knew how to install filters and how to keep it running. Not only do they do a fabulous job but you gotta love customer appreciation month! Get those filters! They did such a great job I had them install my water heater. Yes, highly recommend. I feel they knocked it put of the ballpark!

Good Customer Service and communication was excellent. Great Dane sends out texts or calls to confirm appointments. Great Dane will call or text when their technician is nearby and they are upfront about prices. The technician was professional and adhered to the COVID19 protocols of masks and respecting social distancing rules. The technician emailed a report with pictures of the furnace and humidifier detailing any issues. Overall, it was a good experience and will continue to use their services.

Just had them install a brand new 3.5 ton Carrier AC system and the level of professionalism is still on par with what I have experienced in the past. I got quotes from four different companies and while they were not the most expensive, they weren't the least expensive. They provided a fair price for excellent work. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great HVAC company. I have had them work on my heating in the past as well and they were fast to respond, quick to complete the repair and fair on the price.

AC broke down due to a simple $10 AC capacitor and got charged $310+ for a 30 min visit. Technician left the service line caps OPEN despite noticing potential issues with the valve and gasket (recorded). Tech was hasty to;eave and even had to remind him to check the temperature difference as he couldn't get reading from the service lines. As a result refrigerant leaked completely and compressor failed. Sent a technician ("free of charge") to tell me that it is dead and that I need a NEW SYSTEM from GREAT DANE. Tech came up all reasons why the situation cannot be remedied by recharging the compressor (dust might have gone inside, moisture might cause failure, .).that I REALLY a NEW system.couldn't even make an eye contact while listing all these crazy reasons why it cannot be fixed.

Both the Tech and Greg (Service manager) confirmed that they are the unlucky company to cause this situation and that leaving the cap on could have remedied the leak. What is next is worse; spoke to Greg and he said "partial" cost of the service charge can be discounted from the new system (if bought from them). He said he would call the sales guy coming to give an estimate to "update about our issue" - possibly bake in the quote price a courtesy discount for "unluckiness".

When I asked about what would be company's remedy if no new system purchased from them, Greg added that unless I buy a new system from them, there is NOTHING G. Dane would do despite accepting their role in the issue as being "unlucky". Asked to see if this is how the owner (JOSH) would want him to treat the customers, he said "PRETTY MUCH YES".

In short, if the tech noticed issues with the valve and gasket, then why didn't offer replacing the core or ensured that its capped is closed tight and sealed at the very least. If that was being "unfortunate", why the company/Greg is so indifferent about remedying the cost/inconvenience unless a new system is bought from them for thousands. Wish I had read their reviews very carefully before (not the generic positive ones but the detailed failure stories). They will sweet talk you and will try to upsell with whatever stories they can come up with. Save yourself time, money and headache and look for other reputable companies.

We were quoted an original price for a repair of our mini split of around $400 once the tech looked at it. Once the repair was completed he the told me it would be $628. If we would have been told this amount up front it wouldn't have been a problem. We are very disappointed in the way business is conducted and therefore we would not recommend this company to anyone.

Our hot water heater leaked on a Monday night. I called our Consumers Energy Appliance Service Plan hotline and they sent Great Dane out the next day. It couldn't be fixed so we ordered a new one, and installation was scheduled for Thursday morning. Technician Zach, Sal, Amber, and Installers Bryan and another gentlemen whose name I didn't get. all awesome. professional, friendly and excellent service. Would recommend.

My hot water heater ruptured. I called about 5 different places to get estimates for a new one. I decided to go with Great Dane mainly because of the personality and helpfulness of Nick, who I spoke with on the phone. He helped us out with getting the financing done and approved in minutes. He gave me a quote and, unlike some other reviews I've read, he did NOT push to sell me anything extra.

I spoke with Nick at about 4pm on Wednesday and, the installation technicians (Wesley and Justin) were at my home by 2pm the following day. The techs were super sweet, informative and tidy. They laid out a rug covering the entire stairwell and the area leading from the stairs to the door. They cleaned everything behind themselves. They were friendly with me and my German Shepherd (who can be really annoying. Lol) I will definitely be using Great Dane for all of my Heating and Cooling needs in the future. A+++. Highly recommended!

I liked the installers and technicians who helped me solve my A/C problems. The problem is their customer service, which changed my initial review from 5 down to 3 stars. You will get letters about how an inspection needs to be done and to call them, but they never return calls. Messages go without response. Then they will insinuate you are a liar by saying you only called once because that's all they show on their system (completely neglecting to address the fact the one call they DO see and acknowledge, had no follow up, or that a call might not have been tracked.).

I found Amber on the phone to be rude, and clearly incapable of handling customers if she can't return a basic phone call, plus her demeanor is unprofessional. To add insult to injury, their website which has 3 areas to send a message.provide an error message on all three areas. So quality checks about their operations seem to not occur. When you spend $4,000.you expect the basics in customer service. This company did not provide it. Go in with the expectation it is going to be a rough ride.

They came and installed a new A/C unit for me. Overall the work was good. However they sold me a A/C unit cover for $100 that I could have bought online for 40. I wasn't home when they installed so they aggressively sold it to me over the phone. Good company but they try and sell you stuff you don't need.

This is our go-to HVAC resource. I have used Great Dane for many years, as have my parent, sister and a few friends as well - based on my recommendation. First class service from the first call until services are completed (on the first visit). The house is always left as clean as when they arrived and the technicians are as nice as can be. Fantastic experience. Called at 2 pm to discuss a warranty issue for my carrier furnace. According to the manufacturer, my heat exchanger was warrantied, but the labor was not. Totally understandable for a 15 year old unit. Dispatcher on the phone was very professional and pleasant. They scheduled a same day appointment for between 3-6 pm. They arrived at 3:05!

One hour after I called! That is awesome. The technician, Joe, was thorough, extremely experienced, and a pleasure to have in the home. He verified the issues, got us going temporarily, and charged a very fair price. From start to finish these guys were great. I have no problem rating them 5 stars and will happily refer them to others. Great job and thank you!
