Professing my love and appreciation for Margie and the entire team at Airways Unlimited! We own a home in silver spring but recently relocated to the west coast. Our renters called us one evening on the fall to inform us the heat wasn't working. It's a hard pill to swallow when you're married to "Mr Fix it" but you know that he can't just fly back east every time something happens.
We had another company come out multiple times that suggested all of these patches. The issue kept recurring though. I didn't want a patch, I wanted a solution. We called Airways Unlimited in desperation and their technician came out immediately and diagnosed the issue as a broken motor. He replaced in the following day and everything was working in tip top shape.
A few weeks later, the heat started acting up on a Saturday evening. Margie from AU hopped on the phone after 11PM with my renter and got the heat going. She sent a technician out just to be safe on Monday and sure enough a minor part had failed. Instead of constantly patching it, they ordered the replacement switch and installed it without any headache to us.
I may have oversimplified the issues but I truly trust their judgement as they took the time to explain every detail to us over the phone. They have earned my trust and given me peace of mind from 2k miles away!

We have been using Airways Unlimited for years for equipment and maintenance. However, the A/C broke yesterday evening in the heat of this summer of Covid! I thought we would have to wait DAYS! Story gets better here. I called Ed who guided me through a few steps to see if he could help over the phone! That's customer service at its finest. That didn't work so he sent a technician over this morning at 9am! Ishmael fixed the problem, with his mask on PLUS the cost was very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

I also give Ed Penfield top ratings. I have a small, old commercial building and had to install 2 new heat pumps, no easy feat given the age of the premises. Not to mention lack of parking for Ed's workers. I had two other companies come to give me estimates that were higher plus they did not give me confidence they could deal with this. Ed came up with creative solutions for a challenging space, he really knows his stuff.
The bottom line is that a small business like Airways has to be super customer oriented or it will never survive. Today, New Years Day, he went over to a different property to restore heating and charged an honest fee. I really appreciate Ed and Airways!

Of course I'm one of the lucky ones whose AC decided to cease working late in the afternoon on a day with a heat index of 110. Daughter just had wisdom teeth extracted day before, not a good time for this to happen. This kind business owner made an evening trip to our house and repaired our unit quickly and the repair bill was reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

We have used Airways Unlimited for the 25 years we have owned our home. They installed our original HVAC unit, as well as the new one for an addition. They did all the duct work as well. The owner, Ed Pennfield, is always available to help, very customer oriented and very honest. We have an annual contract which is very reasonably priced for the service we get. Anytime we have a new issue, they come the next day. We trust Ed and his company implicitly. He runs a very honest business that does the job they were hired for and as much as needed. I would recommend them highly.
