We called to have the boiling pilot light lit and get our heating system going for the season. The tech who showed up said that "it was too dangerous to light" and told my wife we needed "to invest in a complete new system because this one was so old and outdated." Our boiler is older but has been working fine for the last 27 years it has been installed.

I called Furrs HVAC service and they came out and lit the pilot and did a complete inspection of the boiler and said "it is an older system and might quit tomorrow or last another 10 years, but there is no threat of safety just because the system is older, it is mechanically sound." The Climate tech attempted to use fear as a sales technique. Get a second opinion.

Absolutely the best! I've had so many horrible experiences with other companies. Finally found a family owned business with ethics and expertise. Been a customer for years. The Sensi is an awesome product and they upgraded by thermostat at my request to a much better device. So happy with Climate!

I can't say enough about climates professionalism, kindness, ready to please. Climate came and corrected an installment which another contractor who was a government contractor did and which caused a carbon-monoxide situation Due to incorrect installment. Climate was very cooperative and made me feel confident that the job will be done and was done correct.

They were meticulous from beginning to end with installing my water heater. They showed up When they were suppose to. on time. everything about them was perfect. As a consumer who is hard to please - Climate passed my litmus text! Paulette from Lanham, MD

I have been a customer of Climate Heating and Cooling for many years. Their techs were professional and their work was good. However, based on my last two maintenance calls I can safely say their quality has declined and I will no longer be using them to maintain our AC/Heating system. In the past we used to get detailed written reports. This year we got no such report.

After their AC check we had to get another vendor to do the analysis, who actually ended up cleaning and doing the maintenance. Apparently the Climate Heating and Cooling tech did nothing. After their most recent check on our heating system the tech turned off our furnace saying the CO level was too high. I appreciate that. However, we then checked inside the house with a CO detector (after turning it on back) and the level was normal.

After both their visits we had to get someone else who did the job they should have. In the first case, to actually diagnose, fix and measure the performance of our AC units. And second to check the CO level in the house before determining if there was a real risk and what the fix would be. Lastly, they said they would provide an estimate for a new AC unit after the visit.

They have done no such thing. So all I can say is that it wasted over $800 on their visits since they provided no value. In both cases, we could have gone with other vendors (who we did do after their visits) but I picked them out of a sense of loyalty and past experience. I am done with them. They used to be good and I used to recommend them. No more.

Company is a rip off. They said the system had to be replaced at a cost of $5000 when it only needed a $20 capacitor. Highly do not recommend. The Climate mechanic never opened the condenser to properly diagnose the equipment. He automatically said it needed replaced.

Critical: Quality BEWARE! This company is not trustworthy and may be running a scam. They also don't guarantee any of their work. Would look elsewhere for your HVAC needs.

I needed to schedule a service call for repair work. The customer service was so bad from the person on the other end of the phone, that they lost my business. It seems logical: answer the phone, be friendly, answer questions & explain pricing, schedule the appointment, service the equipment, get paid. Can't even imagine what goes on in this place. Not a fan, very frustrating experience.

The issue has not been resolved and today my house remains at 85 degrees. The parts were never ordered and the company was not responsive. I started a warranty claim on July 17th. It was assigned to Climate Heating and Cooling. Today is the 28th and we still have no air conditioning. The company came out, indicated my refrigerant was 1 pound low and that they were not allowed to "top me off" that they needed to take the entire unit apart.

They stated I need a new coil. On July 21, I was told the repair was approved and parts ordered. On July 27th with a house at 85 degrees, I called to check on the status of the part. I was informed the part was never ordered and that the repair was not covered and that I needed to pay $2,600 for the coil. The service from AHS and Climate Heating an Cooling has been terrible.

I just called another HVAC person to see what he would charge for a new coil. After sending him my model numbers and, I was quoted $1,100. It feels like I am being scammed. At least Climate Heating and Cooling attempted to scam me - no luck this time for them.

Working with these peoples been a journey in cancellations, false promises and inaccuracies. They cancelled twice on me. They would make appointments and be late. I had them come on a Thursday for maintenance of two ac units we have. They charged me 475 and said all was well. On Tuesday my upstairs unit stop working, I called and they said they would come out. Anytime I have had service scheduled you spend the day making several calls questioning where &' are and you invariably get the call that they have run into problems at their previous job and would be late.

When they came out at 6 pm on Tuesday, they said that I needed a whole new air conditioner! The technician promised they would work with me as they felt bad that they told me all was welll only four days before. They assured Me that Corey would call me. He did not and when I called on Friday they said they would be happy to sell me a whole new system. I respectfully declined. I would never trust these people and I urge to not trust them either

If I ever have a problem with my HVAC system, my first call will be to Climate. Jim K. provided me with a ton of insight and assistance to the operation of, and how to troubleshoot, the heating and cooling system in our mid-century contemporary. My estimate is that in his 15 minute visit, he saved us at least $1,000 a year in heating and cooling costs. Jim also made a couple of excellent recommendations for other contractors for our needs outside the scope of Climate's services.

Company just add different service charge on top of $95 call. And yet, I have problem after paying $232 and Cooling system is not working. Be careful before calling them or verify are they gonna charge on top of $95 like lick-age checking charge, temporary free-on etc. It's totally money snatcher or rip - off

I just had a Master Technician come out today and he fixed our system and diagnosed the problem within minutes. Terry has 37 years of experience and he is a very nice man who knows a lot about HVAC. Terry gave me some pointers and tips on how to keep the outside unit efficient and well running. I am signing up for a long-term contract with this company. They are honest, reliable and trustworthy!

Excellent service. My late mother always had a contract with Climate Heating and Cooling for more than 20 years. I, her daughter, now holds a yearly contract. I have only praise for the service I receive excellent, conscientious service, and cannot think of another vendor to use. I plan on keeping my contract current with Climate. Climate hires trustworthy and dependable technicians. I'm a happy and loyal customer.

Called to say we needed intake and exthaust lines heightened from furnace. They sent man out and he said oh they didnt tell me anything. He wrote done model of furnace. Had been there maybe 1 min. We told him that we also had a problem with our furnace and he said he didnt have time to look at it and then charged us $125- total waste

This company sold me the wrong part and then refused to offer a refund! They tried to convince me that what they were selling me was a universal replacement for the part I had. I even brought the old part with me to ensure I was getting the correct component. It didn't matter. She was SURE that this "replacement" would work. WRONG! It wasn't even in the same part category.

Not even close! I'm not sure how a company could close their eyes to such an obvious mistake and then not take steps to make it right. It's really simple. They sold me the wrong part. I should get a refund, right? That's not the way it works with this company. STAY AWAY! If they can't be trusted on a simple transaction such as this I can't imagine how anyone could trust them to service or install anything. Prepare to get shafted.

Everything about this place is great. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly responsive. The prices are incredibly reasonable and they legitimately care about their customers. I am a huge fan of it being a local, small business. I recommend them to everyone!

I have been very impressed by Climate as an HVAC company. Their staff is knowledgeable and attentive. I appreciate that they do not always recommend the most expensive repair or replacing a system that still has life left in it. I have recommended Climate to my friends and family and everyone that has used them has been pleased with the experience. I am also happy to support them as they are a local, family owned business, and that is a refreshing change.

I've been using Climate for preventative maintenance for over 10 years. They are always friendly, on time, and have done an excellent job. I love their service packages and advice about options for maintaining or replacing my ageing heat pump. During this current cold spell, my heating unit began making freaky noises. They were able to send someone within an hour.

We used Climate Heating & Cooling for years, and their technicians are first-rate. However, their management and pricing practices are terrible. We were quoted a "special rate" of $99 to come do the annual a/c maintenance. When they got here, they added a $100 "ladder fee" and $185 "service fee" (so, what was the $99, if not a "service fee"?). With the addition of a couple other fees, the total bill came to $404.

I didn't like it, but gave the office my credit card number over the phone, and they told me they would charge it. Four months later, I discover that they had never charged my card, had sent paper bills to the wrong address (where they were thrown out) and had a collection agency after me! It took a lot of phone calls to get it straightened out, and a few more to get the collection agency to stop harassing me. Deceptive pricing and bad management. Try Clark Plumbing instead - they do HVAC too.

These guys charged us a lot to install our air conditioning system, which has always leaked. Every Spring the refrigerant was gone again, and they charged us to refill it and to "repair" the leak. They won't stand by their work. Don't hire them.

Can you say Gouge! I called Climate and heating and explained that the radiators where working in my row house but the house was either to hot or to cold. I could not get a happy medium of 71F to 73F. It was either 85F or 70F. The guy on the phone was like we have to come out and look at it and it will be a $110 trip charge. I asked is there anything I can do to check the system to avoid a trip.

They said no. The heating guy came this morning he walked by each heater and put his hand on them and said they were working. That will be a $110. Literally! This is exactly what happend. He said that with these old homes you can't have exact heating temperatures in each room. You turn heat on when its cold and turn it down when its hot. They knew that was the issue because they installed the boiler in the house years ago. However, they instead sought to rip me off for $110. That is just really bad customer service.
