Michael came out on of all days a Sunday for my Water heater plumbing. I walked out into my garage to water running out and a hissing sound. I found my hot and cold water inlets both leaking. I was able to get the cold water valve shut but the hot water valve would not. I called Carolina Heating & Plumbing. They gave me a reasonable quote for the service call on Sunday and a very reasonable repair quote.
He replaced the overflow tank and a ball valve on the hot water inlet. I was pleased with his prompt and competent work. I know who to go to now for my heating & plumbing needs.

I had a wonderful experience. The builder grade system was on it's way out and also the duct work wasn't properly installed. Carolina Heating came in assessed my system. The builder grade compressor was not sufficient for the square footage of the house, which made the unit work even harder. I had a complete system replacement with Daikin equipment.
I love it! The compressor is slimmer and more efficient. I now have smart thermostats upstairs and downstairs. The unit is soooo quiet! My previous system was so loud, that I couldn't take my conference calls in the kitchen. The two guys installing my unit, Steve and Austin, were great! They did a fabulous job! They made sure my floors were protected. They arrived on time and worked diligently each day, informing me of the process along the way. My co-workers recommended Carolina Heating and I'm glad they did!

We had a technician come out to help us assess a particular problem (one room being much warmer than the rest of the house). He was SO professional, so personable, and extremely knowledgeable in regard to possible solutions and ideas. While we ended up going a route that didn't require additional services, I know exactly who I'll be calling next time we have any issues!

Started business with this company after purchasing my home. It had an older hvac unit which started to need repairs. Funds were limited, so I joined there maintenance program to prolong life of my unit until I am able to replace it. They come twice a year to evaluate my unit, they change my filter, and give recommendations to prolong life of unit. Great company will continue to do business with them.

After 2 days of our AC being down, and countless calls into many "24/7" service business, Carolina Was one I did not contact. After no calls returned, I gave Carolina a call. They called me at 0805 right after they opened, and a technician was at my house by 0950. Andrey Camargo was my technician. Not only was he friendly and professional; he was honest about everything.
He was fast (3 hours) but EXTREMELY thorough. Tons of testing with various equipment and lots of pictures to show me. He explained everything in great detail so I knew exactly what was wrong and how it can be fixed. After giving me my options and prices for all the diagnostics and repairs, he let me decide what was best based on my budget. This is very rare and refreshing as most companies are trying to maximize their profits while minimizing their time. Overall, I will never use another heating and air company. Best service, best people, and best prices for the excellent work you get done.

Today we had our air and heating system cleaned and maintained for our Spring cleaning. Our technician was Thomas and my husband and I feel he went above and way beyond with his servicing of our equipment. Thomas was very conscientious and took great measures to keep our house safe from any tracked in dirt. I did appreciate that along with his great attention to detail and his curtesy. I will definitely ask for him again on my next maintenance appointment. Thank you Thomas and Carolina Heating!

Under Maintenance Agreement, had our scheduled service done by Ashlyn. We have had her on at least two occasions and have requested her every time. First of all, she calls prior to showing up with a heads-up call, then shows up on time as promised. Very professional, thorough, courteous, and knows what she is doing. Takes her time to ensure quality work. Had a problem with one filter on last service.
Even though the systems were down, she spent the time via land line to track down and order the necessary part. She followed up by explaining what needed to be done and assured us that as soon as the part was in, she would be back. She did not let us down. Returned and replaced the needed filter. We have and will continue to request her services on every call. Excellent employee and does one heck of a job.

I am well pleased with the Carolina Heating service, as usual. Andrey was very professional and personable. He was on time and thorough. He presented in good fashion the company's promotion of the I Wave R. After researching the device for myself, I was surprised at the cost, $600.00 for a 20 minute installation in addition to the cost of the device, which seemed on the borderline of price gouging. I refused the offer.

We have a maintenance agreement with the company and have enjoyed knowing the service people and the people in the office. Because we have worked with Carolina Heating Service for over ten years, we have had a chance to get to know several of the technicians. Darryl was here today and was his typical, professional, thorough self. He was friendly - and serious about the job at hand - at the same time.

I have been on their HVAC maintenance program for about six years. The tech advised that the motor capacitors on both A/C units was showing low amperage. I decided to have him replace both as this was the second time this has been reported. He quoted $610.00 for both. I questioned this as being high but he assured me I was getting a good price/discount that comes with their maintenance program.
After he left, I did some research on the pricing and discover that high retail for these units runs anywhere from $50 to $75 each, not $305 each. I sent them a email today canceling my maintenance contract. I no longer trust them, period. I will never call them for anything again.

I recently had to replace my entire heat pump unit after an unexpected power surge from an unknown source killed it. Carolina Heat and Air was awesome in every respect but one, which I will get to in a minute. I would like to thank all of the technicians, installers, salesman, office support and anyone else I can think of. They were fast, courteous, proficient, caring and the utmost professionals.
I would like to personally thank: Gordon in Sales Will in Installation T in installation Aaron in service If I had any constructive criticism it would only be this: On the day my unit died it was discovered when the thermostat was found to be blank by my wife. It was a Saturday and we had to call for an emergency appointment/Visit. Very quickly Andre showed up and discovered the outside breaker box had tripped and he reset it.
Power was restored to the thermostat, and he was gone in 5 minutes. $65 to reset the breaker. What he failed to do was turn on my unit. Later that night, my wife turned on the unit as it was getting hot in the house and instantly the breaker tripped again. So we had to call and have another technician come out the next day, a Sunday, and really take a good hard look into the problem.
What he discovered was the entire breaker box had melted and all the fuses were melted. We could have had a house fire! More than anything else I was upset because Andre did not take anytime at all to investigate, he simply flicked a switch and left. Not cool, I could have done that and now you guys had to pay another technician emergency on call pay on a Sunday to come visit our house.
Other than this one small occurence I can not say enough good things about Carolina Heat and Air. We have been with them for many years now and will continue to do so. Thank you

My air conditioner went out on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and I called Carolina Heating Service to get someone to come out and repair it. They said they could come out during regular business hours (which would be Tuesday due to the holiday) for $105 or come out the same day for their after-hours rate of $195. There was no way I was going to wait until Tuesday and so I happily paid the $195.
The customer service person told me to turn off the air conditioner but turn on the fan, which I did. The service technician arrived soon afterwards. So far so good, but that's where the story goes downhill. The technician took a look at the outside unit, then went into my attic to see the inside unit. He then told me that the inside unit was frozen solid and that he couldn't do any diagnotics until it was thawed out.
My options were to either pay him $305 to stay and thaw it or I could simply continue to run the fan until it thawed in a few hours. Oh, and by the way, it will cost another $50 for him to return to do the diagnotics. Oh, and also by the way, he won't be coming until Tuesday even though I paid for emergency after-hours service. So, within 15 minutes I'm out $195 (you pay up-front), I still don't have a working air conditioner, and still don't know what's wrong with it.
I called the customer service person back and explained that I needed to schedule a return service trip and asked that they waive the return service charge. She said she would talk to the manager and let me know on Tuesday. Well after having a toasty few days to think about the situation I decided why should I reward a business that treats their customers this way.
I mean they should have taken care of me later that evening or on Monday morning, NOT Tuesday and certainly NOT for an additonal charge. I paid for emergency service! So I called them on Tuesday and politely explained how their policies are not very customer friendly. I also said that if they know that a unit can be frozen why don't they try to avoid a useless service call by asking a few questions.
Then they can schedule the call when the technician can actually do something. The customer service person pretty much just wanted to re-explain why they couldn't do the diagnostics and also defend the reasoning for a return service charge. She did finally get the return service charge waived later, but I decided to cancel my appointment. I would rather give my business to anyone else.
The people that I dealt with were courteous. But they are having to enforce policies that, if they would simply think about it from the customer's perspective, they would see are very unfair. I should have had service later that evening or at the very least the next day and at no additional charge. Instead, I had to wait two days and had to fight to have the return fee waived. It shouldn't be this hard to do business with someone.
