Small family business. Great communication, gave me price options and stuck to my budget. 24 hour on call, the 2 people that did most of the work were on time, cleaned up after themselves and were always working hard! It was nice to see the same faces day after day and not have any surprises. Job was done on time and no surprises! Will use again on my next restaurant venture!

Great company very knowledgeable staff I actually had the pleasure of working with this company on a commercial project I was the superintendent, at the end we found that the mall gave us the wrong information and they worked hard to get the problem fixed And had to re-run a bunch of ductwork I would definitely recommend this company thanks guys for all the help I couldn't have done it without you.

I own a condo in Salem NH. The bath room shower could not be shut off completely. CAC Mechanical has a connection to condo management. I contacted the service manager at CAC. He took a look at the problem and was very confident that the faucet valve needed to be replaced. He had the parts in CAC. It would take about 15-30 minutes to fix it. He estimated $85 for the parts and $105 (one hour) for labor.
Long story short, however, the plumber took three tries: 1. Replaced spindle assembly. 2. Replaced seat set. 3. Double checked and repeated 2nd try. After the third try, the faucet was still leaking. Then he realized that he needed to flush the water. The problem was gone after flushing. Due to his lack of experience, it took one hour and 10 minutes to fix it.
When I saw the service bill, I was shocked that total charge was $489.10. I was charged 3 hours for service and parts with an inflated price. He said it took one hour for him to get parts from a store in Methuen. I asked for the store receipt for those parts, and he refused. I asked for the seat extractor I paid for. He refused. I called the manager, and he reduced the labor to 2.5 hours (still more time than the plumber claimed, with a starting time at 9:09am to and time I called, which was 11:31am) and threatened me to charge time if I continued to argue.
Later I checked the parts price, and everything was doubled. Here are the prices they charged me: Spindle Assembly $85.76, Seat Set $49.04, Seat Extractor $32.80 (sub total $167.60), $6.50 for truck expense, $262.50 for labor. Total $436.60. Is this a reasonable price to fix a faucet leak?

I'm a local southern NH homeowner and have a propane (LP) system (Rheem) on which I did my own diagnostics. I needed someone to install a Honeywell valve unit which I procured separately. CAC Mech took my call, and over the phone within a few moments was able to quickly ascertain and agree to exactly what I was looking for. The agent was instantly able to work me in for the very next morning with a perfectly competent and experienced tech (Matt). Tech arrived as discussed and the valve and LP adjustment kit went in perfectly like clockwork. And the hourly rate was $35 less than a competing provider.
