Our experience with Marr's was fantastic. Everyone we worked with was professional and efficient at their jobs. Wendy set the appointments, communicated well, and set the expectations for each step of the project. Joel came into our home to estimate the project and was so polite and knowledgeable. He offered solutions based on our needs and patiently answered all of our questions.
The day-of installers - Jesse and Kyle - did a great job. They were on time, had everything they needed to complete the job, and did a great job at clean up after the install. I would absolutely recommend Marr's. We had two other companies come out and bid the HVAC install as well. Marr's pricing was competitive and their time to install was much shorter than the other companies. Follow up has been nice and I feel like they actually care to keep our business. It is refreshing and I appreciate the work they did.

The service guy was professional, courteous, friendly and Efficient. This is a great company. They Installed my 2 units and have serviced it twice since I had them installed two years ago. The Marrs Heating employees that installed my new heat pump and AC unit were great to work with. They were punctual and completed the installation within the scheduled time. They also were able to answer all my questions and help me set up the thermostat settings before they left. They did a walk-through with me both before and after the installation which was appreciated. I highly recommend Marrs Heating.

Matt did an excellent job in providing friendly and knowledgeable service for our furnace and air conditioning units. He answered all of my questions and provided useful information regarding the most effective ways to maintain these units throughout the year. My one disappointment was regarding the issue of replacing our furnace air filter during this system maintenance visit:. 1.) The wrong sized filter was brought along for the visit and 2.) since our current filter was not needing replacement at the time, no filter was offered until next years' maintenance visit.
My conviction is that a new filter should be left at each yearly maintenance visit, even if not technically needed at the time, as it is likely that the filter will need to be replaced before next year's visit. This may be a perceived "value" on my part, but I do believe that a new, correctly-sized filter should either replace the existing filter, or a new filter left with the homeowner for replacement during the next year. This was my only 'gripe' during an otherwise excellent visit.

Marr's Heating and Air Conditioning's estimator, installers, and electricians, were very professional and responsive to questions. They were very respectful in how they treated our home and asked us for our preferences when there were choices to be made. The communication was excellent: responsive to emails and pro-active in letting us know when the crew was coming.
Many times they asked us if we had any questions along the way; and they made a final inspection one week later to check up on how things were going with our new heating and a/c. We are very happy and would highly recommend this company.

We were so impressed by the technician and his helper that installed our air conditioning units/heat pump. They were extremely professional, very likeable, polite and knowledgeable! Marrs bent over backwards to procure the units and set up a time to get them installed. We would recommend them in a moment for your heating and cooling needs.

I'm really happy that Marr's convinced me to install a couple of heating and air conditioning pumps in my home instead of trying to repair or replace my existing heater and duct system. "Old systems really can't provide for air conditioning, and trying to get them to work effectively would require a very expensive re-do, " Kyle explained when I first asked for an estimate. Newer technology would be more cost efficient, he said, and I would really see a difference.
He spent a couple of hours working with me so that the estimate really helped me to understand how everything would be installed. The job and the new equipment were going to be expensive, but I was assured that it would be worth it. Kyle, Jacob the owner, and the entire Marr's team couldn't have been more helpful. From the time I contracted for the work, Wendy in the office kept me up to date on costs, payment options and scheduling, (because of shipping delays during the pandemic, I had to wait six months for the installation). Rewiring, setting up new ducts through my garage and crawl space, all went like clockwork thanks to Casey and Zane, (a shout-out to coordinating electricians), and the job was completed in less than two days.

I had a great experience, from initial email contact to the tech visit. A maintenance call was scheduled for the week after I contacted Marr's, the technician actually arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time, and he was very professional and courteous. I'm completely satisfied with Marr's Heating & Air Conditioning, and would happily recommend them to neighbors, family and friends.

Marr's has taken care of our heating since we moved into our house and they have always taken great care of us. We needed a new furnace this year (right after becoming new parents) and they made us a priority and did a great job. Our technician, Aaron, is always on time, professional and thorough. Ongoing Work I am a renter, whose property management company selected Marr's Heating & Air Conditioning to work on a downed heating unit. They have been extremely professional during the current heavy rainstorms and have been upfront and honest about wait times and kept an open line of communication for scheduling. The repair technician Nolan (pardon if a misspelling) was kind and professional.
He was also respectful of the personal space and worked thoroughly to find the issue. He is working on getting the correct service parts for the system and Marr's will be reaching out soon to schedule a follow up. I would recommend their services off of first impressions and will update with a completed review when the services are completed.

Reached out to Marr's late in the season for yearly furnace maintenance, we recently moved into our house and wanted the furnace serviced before we turned it on. Marr's scheduling was comparable to other heating companies I had reached out to, but they worked with my schedule and got me on sooner than I expected. The communication between me and the scheduling department was easy and supportive.
I didn't know some answers to questions being asked (size of filter, brand, etc), but I didn't feel judged or annoying. They even called and were able to move my appointment up a week. Nolan arrived on time and was very professional. He was respectful of our house and time. He was very clear and concise with the what could and needed to be replaced or cleaned further.
He gave me several options and at no point did I feel like I was being upsold or manipulated. He replaced a part on top of the maintenance in the amount of time I expected. He showed me before and after photos which showed the care and hard work he put into the job. Our heater is up and running just in time for the cold rain!

They offered multiple quotes to choose among. The installation crew were professional, prompt and communicative. They even treated my removed shrubs with care. My garage was clean upon departure. Further, my warranties were filed, rebates submitted. Less follow up for me. Don't hesitate to contact with this business. Since I moved into my house last summer, the AC never worked, so I finally wanted to get it fixed. I'm glad I called Marr's. They were top-notch from beginning to end. The person who scheduled the phone was incredibly friendly, was able to clearly explain the different service options to me, and get me on the schedule quickly. Matt, the technician, was the again not only one of the friendliest people that I've ever met, but he was extremely competent with fixing my AC unit.
I wasn't sure of what level service I needed, which Matt was able to recommend to me once he saw the heater and AC unit. I was happy with the price as well, especially considering the top-notch service. My heater and AC unit are working great now, just in time for the hot summer. I will definitely be using Matt and the rest of the Marr's team for all my future AC/heater service and installation needs.

Our experience with Marr's has been excellent. Our gas furnace was getting old and was blowing a lot of dust, making us all miserable. Kyle helped us come up with a plan for a new 2-stage Carrier furnace and an iWave-R air purifier to mitigate the dust problems. The installers were fast and professional and left the area neat, with the entire. install taking about half a day.
They even updated the venting for our gas water heater as it was connected to a common vent, which was an unexpected and welcome bonus. We actually had an issue with our thermostat a couple of nights later (which was my fault) that blew a fuse in the furnace. I texted Kyle in a panic as we had a conversation going.

I recently had an annual furnace inspection done. I used Marr's for the first time this year, and I'm pretty happy that I switched to them. Scheduling + It was easy to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was very organized. As soon as I was done with the call, I received a text with an appointment confirmation and other pertinent information. - One thing I was not too happy about is that I had to wait for just over a month for the appointment.

Make sure you have these guys and come and do a estimate. St the minimum have them be in the running. I had 3 places cone out and you need to pay attention to what's said and what's done. Everyone has been polite and courteous helpful knowledgeable. They might not have been in business the longest in the area but their system works and works well. Kyle the estimator sold me on everything he did. Jacob another senior employee came by and had a great chat. The two young installers were doing their job like clockwork. I won't give them an A but for now it works. If it doesn't then an addition will be added.

Marr's installed a new air conditioner for me. They spent a lot of time working out which type of unit would work best in the house, and they actually did the proper calculations to determine the size of the unit. The installation went very smoothly. Everyone I've dealt with has been courteous and friendly, and they are very competent at their jobs. I would recommend them.

I scheduled a service call with Marr on January 18. Their technician Matt arrived on January 22 on time and was very professional. Unfortunately, he was not able to diagnose a problem on site and had to send information to the manufacturer to determine what the problem was. I was told I would receive a call the following day, however, no one called.
I followed up with the technician on the phone on February 6 and he indicated the information had been provided to the office and they should have called me by that point. I emailed Wendy in the office on February 6, but received no reply. I emailed again on February 8, and was told that they were waiting on the owner, Ken, to provide a quote and that they were scheduling new work out into March.
They had gotten busy because of a cold snap in Whatcom County. I finally received a price quote on February 20, nearly a month after the the initial visit. The price quote, for a refrigerant recharge, was 2-3x the price of their competitors. I prefer to buy local whenever I can, I can understand being overwhelmed when an unexpected cold snap strikes, but the communication and customer service was extremely disappointing.

Marr's Heating and AC upgraded the heating system in my Bellingham warehouse, which is leased by a Cross Fit gym, in mid November. With a failed heating system, the tenants and their clients were beginning to freeze. Ken Marr and Co. provided a first-rate solution that was quickly brought online and has worked perfectly ever sense. They made me look good, and kept my tenants happy in the process. Thanks guys!

When first moved into our house, we needed a new furnace. At first we were thinking of getting a more expensive one, but Ken Marr suggested a less expensive model as it fitted our new home better. I knew I could trust Marr's. Later on our furnace needed service to replace a circuit board and Marr's was able to do it under warranty.

I just had a gas fireplace installed in our house. After visiting Barron, Craft Stove, and another shop we chose Marr's to do our work. The staff was very friendly and did a great job with the install. They used drop clothes shoe covers and took special measures to unsure our home was protected while they worked. They left the place as clean as when they arrived and we had a new great fireplace installed. Jacob spent the time to ensure I knew how to operate the remote and discusses care and maintenance even though all of that is covered in the manual.
I am very happy with the service and I am glad I chose Marr's Heating & Air Conditioning. I prefer to support small family business and try to avoid chain stores. I thought it was great the the grandson of the founder of Marr's was the lead installer. My guess is he will run the place someday. That is the kind of business I like to support.

Our 23 year old home required another furnace and also a 50 gallon water heater (10 years old which is the replacement time on the majority of water heaters). I called three companies of which Marr's was one of them. Ken Marr arrived with much information on a variety of options for both units. He explained the benefits of everything he suggested and even did a full comparison of all the furnaces so that I had a full understanding of why I was choosing which furnace and then the water heater.
I must say, from being around a lot of people in the building service trades, Ken Marr was one of the most courteous I have ever met. He actually listened and questioned me a lot to confirm what it was I was looking for. His service tech arrived, early, installed both furnace and water heater in a very reasonable amount of time and demonstrated that both were working perfectly before he left.
The service was followed up by Ken's son Jacob who was a very, very nice man. I have nothing but praise for this company, it's people and the products it sells. I will call Marr's Heating any day of the week because they deliver service and do it well. I don't know what the reason is for other's to not have an experience like mine but, they really do seem to want to get better and better. At least, that is what I found in all interactions with Ken Marr and his people.

Very disappointing. I scheduled an at-home visit for a heat pump installation estimate. Waited 3 hours at home on Monday. Nothing. Nobody showed up and nobody called me. I finally called the office. The lady looked over the schedule and said, "Oh yes, there you are on the schedule. Let me try and call the person that was suppose to come to your house".
Fifteen minutes later she called me back and said that she couldn't reach the guy. "Sorry but that happens sometimes. Would you like to reschedule?" Well I sure as heck don't want to waste anymore of my time waiting to see if someone is going to show up or not. I thought that just MAYBE I might get a call from the owner the next day but no such luck.
I don't like to badmouth people or companies but if this is a reflection of what type of customer service they provide I felt like it was my duty to share it with others.

We were experiencing a furnace failure at a rental we own in Bellingham last year and didn't know where to get help. It kept making strange noises. I found Marr's on Yelp and called Ken the owner. He was easy to talk to and seemed to actually care about our problem. He sent a worker over in a reasonable time period. Ken himself followed up with me a couple of times to see how things were going. I like to do business with small businesses and will call Marr's again (although I hope I don't have to).

Marr's Heating has been my go-to heating/hot water company for 12 year in Bellingham. I am an absentee landlord of multiple rental units. Their crew has performed annual maintenance on all of our properties over the years. Four time they have saved us monies and hassles by spotting thing in the annual inspections that would have blown-up (twice the fixes were covered by warranties). I also qualified for three energy-savings rebate programs through them. Professional & highly recommended!
