American Conditioned Air

Very disappointed with the service my grandmother received. She was given a referral through PCOA to have her swamp cooler fixed (PCOA covered the expense). After fixing the swamp cooler, the water line sprung a leak, they wanted to charge an additional $100 to fix the leak which happened right after they worked on the cooler. The cooler only worked for a matter of a few days after it was "fixed" and it went right back to doing what it was before.

Because PCOA was billed almost $1000 for the repair, they will no longer help her. I was told a number of repairs were done but when looking at it the casing doesn't even appear to have been open recently. UPDATE: the company did reach out to me to try to remedy the issue. by the time they made it out the cooler had already started working again as we had been trying to trouble shoot ourselves.

They did say they will fix a belt that didn't appear to be fixed, so over all I am happier with the attempt to make it right, although I'm cautious because I still have concerns it'll just stop working again if the temporary fix we completed ourselves doesn't fix the issue.

I have used these guys for my personal home and they did a fantastic job. I was in distress and they came to the rescue. They installed a new unit for my office. My HVAC system was a Goodman that was original with the house. It was 17 years old and sounded like it was going to explode any day. We wanted to replace it with a high quality HVAC system that will provide long service as well as being efficient. We also wanted our 3 car garage to have a heat pump mini-split installed. After a lot of research, I wanted a Carrier Infinity system and Carrier mini-split.

I received 3 quotes and decided to go with American Conditioned Air. Not that they were the lowest, they were not. Discussing options and HVAC systems with Jim of American Conditioned Air, I decided they were the company I wanted. Jim is very customer focus and his quote was reasonable. During the installation process of the main HVAC system, it was discovered that my low pressure suction line was almost completely crimped where it was bent through the wall to the outside condenser unit.

This was done when the house was built. The contractor that installed it, covered up the damage with silicon. This was a good catch by American Conditioned Air! Replacing the line-set was discussed, this was not the most attractive option. I choose to open the wall in my bedroom so they could cut out and braze in new copper. Jim actually came out to do this as well as startup the unit.

He is top-notch! One of the reasons I wanted to go with the Carrier Infinity unit is the dB rating of the condenser. It is whisper quiet! The condenser sits outside of the master bedroom, in fact it is right at the location of our bed. Our old unit was so loud, getting a good night rest in the summer was impossible. The new Infinity system is so quiet I have to go over to the outside unit to feel if the fan is running!

It is very efficient too. The mini-split was installed in the garage. I contracted with an insulating company to bring my house up to R38 and to insulate the garage's ceiling and walls. After this was done, the 1.5 ton mini-split cools down my garage fast! The quality of American Conditioned Air's installation of this unit was so good that it caused me to paint my garage as well as have the floor re-done with epoxy paint!

It is now a comfortable space to maintenance my cars or just to hang out and listen to music. I had my system installed in April of 2021, I wanted to wait until I wrote a review until I received a electric bill. I received that yesterday and was ecstatic! Considering I now have an electric Tesla that I charge every night and the month of June was very hot, my electric bill was half what it was last year! Taken out the electricity used for charging my car, the actual electric usage of the HVAC (including the mini-split with an average use of 5 hours per day) was cut by 2/3 over my old system.

This is a huge drop in usage and we are way more comfortable with the Carrier system. All and all, you get what you pay for. Going for the low bid with sub-quality HVAC is not what we wanted. American Conditioned Air provided us with a reasonable quote for an excellent HVAC system that will last many years and thanks to our maintenance contract, no worries too!

There were a few unexpected issues that came up during the installation process (always is), Jim personally worked hard to resolve them to our satisfaction! Jim is a rare individual, solely focused on the customer and their satisfaction. I would not hesitate recommending American Conditioned Air based on our expectations being met for the installation. Josh and the dispatch came out an diagnosed the furnace issue on the same day I called. Very fair price for a big job. What a difference a little TLC makes. Josh wore a mask while working and explained the work. Highly recommend!

Let me start by saying that dealing with a local business that is owned and hands-on-operated by a family makes a huge difference. Employees become an extension of that family and everyone really cares about your experience. Jim, Aubree, Junior, Quincey, Laura - all of you were wonderful to deal with. A great price for high quality Carrier equipment, fantastic service, delivered right on time and exactly as promised is the definition of VALUE. I won't use anyone else from here on out.

Had a terrible experience with another company and eventually called American Conditioned Air after going almost a week without AC. Got in touch with Josh who is one of their technicians. Josh was out promptly the next day to inspect my AC unit. He had the unit up and running in under an hour, and was extremely professional. Josh was knowledgeable, competent, and explained to me all my options and made sure I was informed about every possible route to fix the issue. I never post reviews, however I cannot recommend this company and specifically Josh enough. Top quality work.

Woke up on a Sunday morning in July with our house at 85 degrees and climbing. Called D&H Conditioned Air and Casey was at our house within a couple of hours, impressive for a holiday weekend. Casey was professional and knowledgeable. We were expecting the worse, that our system would not be salvageable. Casey got us up and running in a short amount of time for a reasonable cost. Very happy with the service provided by D&H and specifically their tech, Casey.

Casey called a couple of hours ahead to confirm the appointment and then was there several minutes early, which I appreciated. Within 10 minutes he was calling again to explain the situation and in less than an hour I was signing off on the completed work! Excellent response, great service and never charging me for more than I need. This is why ACA is in my contacts list. I've used them for years and have been happy every time.

I cannot say enough good things about American Conditioned Air. Jim was very professional and very responsive throughout the entire process. They were quick to provide a quote that I found to be very competitive. Once we choose the option we wanted our wait time was minimal and the repairs were performed well ahead of schedule. I'll be recommending them to anyone who asks for help with their HVAC needs.

Our system had issues on July 4th afternoon (103 degrees outside) and American Conditioned Air technician Casey responded within the time frame he said he would be and worked in the attic to get the unit running. He did an amazing job despite the heat. We really appreciate his hard work and professionalism.

AC was going out, our neighbor Daryl works for American Conditioned Air. He gave us the company number to set up appointment for proposals. We called n Jim, was at our door within an hour. Jim, explained 4 different options, proposals in detail n was highly professional, prompted, Kind, considerate n friendly. We have been clients of American Conditioned Air for many years. Under our twice yearly service plan, the office (Debbie) automatically calls us to schedule our preventative maintenance visits. Debbie is both knowledgeable and friendly; it has been a pleasure working with her. As for our service technician, Jim is always on time. He goes above and beyond to make sure our system is functioning properly.
