I couldn't be more pleased with First Rate. They installed new AC and heater for me. All the employees were also "first rate", pleasant, professional, and determined to my units installed. They worked a 12 hour day to ensure I had AC for a very hot weekend. I would have no qualms recommending this company!

It was time for our spring A/C maintenance and we were having trouble getting the system to turn on. First Rate got me an almost immediate appointment, much appreciated in advance of 90-degree weather! Our technician Sean called ahead to let us know of his arrival time and showed up promptly. He was friendly and professional; he spent some time with our multiple fuse boxes and got everything up and running in almost no time at all.

He also rinsed off the compressor coil and vacuumed out the accumulated dust in the system closet. He tested all the components and warned us of a future, anticipated part replacement. The entire appointment was easy and stress-free. Sean is obviously knowledgeable and competent, and we appreciate his time and effort on our behalf. We are enjoying cool air thanks to him!

When my fabulous plumber retired, he suggested First Rate Plumbing. After speaking with them, I had a new water heater installed. I have never had a better installation done in all the years of being a homeowner since 1981. So soon after, I had them replace my heater, air conditioner and split system for our upstairs. They were the most professional plumbers I have ever used. They were respectful of my wood floors; they were efficient, incredibly pleasant and friendly, and did a beautiful and thorough job. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Excellent service. Had an issue with our furnace and they were able to send a technician in less than 2 hours. It ended up being extremely important because we received snow that night and I have a newborn. The technician was professional, friendly and fixed our issue immediately. Our furnace stopped working on a Saturday morning and I was scheduled for the first appointment available on Monday. After scheduling my appointment, I also received a call from the HVAC Technician who was assigned my call, John, to let me know that he would be contacting me early Monday morning to alert me when he was on his way. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, the spring on our garage door broke during the night on Friday unbeknownst to us with our car trapped inside so we had to prioritize the garage repair due to financial constraints. I will definitely be calling 1st Rate when we are ready for our furnace repairs.

First Rate did excellent work when they took down our old tankless water heater and installed a brand new Navien system, with a Blue Max whole house water filter. The installation looks sharp, clean, and works like a charm. Also, their installation rates are very affordable and service top notch. Time was taken to do work properly; answers to my questions were forthright, clear to understand and explained further when it wasn't clear. Our technician was extremely profession and my satisfaction his only concern. I will choose this company again, and will sign on for their yearly maintenance agreement.

I strongly recommend First Rate Plumbing Heating and Cooling. David and Kyle optimized the heating distribution throughout a 23+ year old house that had previously been converted from a swamp cooling system to refrigerated air without the ducts being adjusted accordingly. David's technical expertise and great communication skills to help me understand what was being done and why, were immensely beneficial and much appreciated.

The heating is now much more even throughout the home and we no longer have some rooms feeling like a walk-in freezer and others melting you on the spot. It has been an amazing transformation and we are very happy with the work, their professionalism throughout the process, and strong customer-centric approach. Excellent service.

I've known the owner for a long time and watched her pour her heart and soul into this company. She's used all her experience and contacts she's made through the years to do whatever she can to make the environment a positive and wonderful place to work. While I cannot speak to the quality of the actual work performed having not experienced it first hand, I know that nothing would be allowed to be sub-par. As an HVAC tech myself, if I lived closer instead of across the country, I would absolutely work for First Rate.

I highly recommend First Rate Heating and Cooling! When our water heater went out I knew it was going to be a challenge to find someone to come out and help us right away and we were so relieved that they came out the next morning and was able to install the new water heater (and bring the area up to code) that same week. Kyle was absolutely wonderful explaining the process and what to expect from the new heater. He made what could have been a stressful experience a very positive one! We have used First Rate 3 times now, twice were semi-emergencies and we were so pleased with the service every time (both from the customer service side and the actual work). This last time Brad came out to help repair our exterior faucet and he was professional, on time, and did a great job. Also we have found their prices to be comparable or slightly cheaper than the other plumbing/heating companies in town. At this point they are our go to company!

I'm very thankful I came across First Rate. My 18 year old A/C started having problems and couldn't keep up with the extreme heat we've experienced lately. As I worked my way through Google recommendations, every other company had a 1-2 week wait just to diagnose my problem, which wasn't going to work with daily temps in the upper 90s and 100s. I called First Rate because they had a high Google rating, and they came the next day.

Their service technician was very professional, knew his stuff, and quickly found the problem. Long story short, I needed a new A/C because fixing and charging my old Freon unit wouldn't have been worth it (leak in the system, coils damaged). They quickly scheduled the install and I now have a much more efficient and quiet system. Their installers did a wonderful job and were friendly and obviously experts in their field.

From the time I called them to the time the new A/C was installed was less than a week - if I went with a competitor, I'd still be waiting for them to arrive to diagnose the problem. I'm happy to have a cool house again, and definitely happy to recommend First Rate to anyone else. Great service!
