I would like to thank Hawn Heating for their excellent service, I had been without a furnace for several days and they were very courteous and very caring. They did everything they could to help me. You guys are awesome, I would recommend you guys to anyone. I have been a Hawn customer for many years, had a new boiler and hot water heater installed 5 years ago.

Was charged $1400 for labor and parts for a part number that I found for $515 (new, lowest seller) and an average of about $700 (new). Labor on Hawn's behalf may have been 2 hours, generously. If you work for Hawn, and don't make somewhere in the $200/hr range, you may be underpaid relative to their charges. Never doing business with Hawn again.

Awesome! Woke up with no heat and it's 8 degrees outside. Called Hawn heating, they were able to come out same day because they just got a cancellation. Techs came on time and were very professional. They diagnosed the issue and fixed it. I asked them to do a check up on it since they were there and they did. The bill was exactly what I expected. I will use them again and I recommend them.

The Hawn technician arrived on time for our annual service. He wore a proper fitting mask the entire time he was here (thank you Philip). The service was thorough. Philip was friendly and informative. We've been Hawn customers for over 12 years and have always been happy with their service and products.

Waking up to a not working furnace in January is an awful experience. At 8:30 am Hawn was the 4th company I called and the first that could be here that day. I was beyond thankful for a 3-7 window. They called back at 9am and said they could actually send someone right away. It's now 10:10am. The blown fuse on my furnace has been replaced and my house is warm and I am great full. Hawn will always be my first and only call.

Nick did a great job checking and cleaning my nearly 30-year-old gas-fired furnace today. He even went outdoors to check the exhaust and intake pipes to find out why the furnace was operating less than optimally, and he told me exactly what is needed to correctly space these pipes. We talked about furnace sizing and what kind of furnaces he recommends in case I chose to replace mine, which is probably living on borrowed time.
Very pleased with his capability and friendliness in explaining how the furnace is running and what he was checking. When I decide to get a new furnace, I'll check with Hawn first.

My gas furnace unexpectedly stopped working in the beginning of winter, and I tried calling several other local companies to diagnose and repair it. No one was able to come for at least 5 days, some not for over a week, but I called Hawn and they came and repaired my furnace the next day before my wife and kids came home from school. Extremely pleased with the entire process and I will absolutely be using them again in the future.

I called from out of town to ask them to do a Sunday service call for a family member who lives in their area. They quickly returned my call and were onsite in less than two hours. They were able to identify and fix the problem, and then called back to let me know what they had done. They were very courteous and professional. Great job and thank you.

It's rare for me to give 5-star reviews since my thinking is that it means "I wouldn't change a thing." And that's exactly how I feel about Hawn. From the customer service reps on the phone with whom you schedule your appointments, to the technicians who come to service your heater, to their pricing, and to their annual service agreements, they are first class all the way.
We don't have a cooling system beyond the window units we put in and take out each year, so I can't speak to Hawn's servicing of those units. Our heater is a *steam* heater and is ancient -- easily 60 years old or more. no one is sure. Thankfully Hawn has technicians like Dale & Gary who specialize in servicing steam heaters -- and Hawn has the foresight to train younger technicians for when their current technicians retire (sniff sniff).
They have been super helpful, and readily available for the 2 times in 8 Winters when we've needed servicing beyond just the annual tune-up. One time while Gary was helping us, he mentioned our water heater, next to our heating unit, and that he noticed its age. It was just something he did to be helpful -- knowing we're still newbies at home ownership.
He ended up saving us -- just as we bought a new one and replaced ours, it cratered. We've just had Hawn here t replace a valve in our heater. The price was exactly what they quoted, the timing of their service was expedient, and they were as clean and courteous as they always are. and now masked and protocoled as you'd expect from the most talented of service-people during a global pandemic. Hawn is the best -- seriously.

We called Hawn to service our 10 yr old Carrier Furnace they installed. We spent over $1800 on replacing a Carrier furnace inducer. The furnace worked for a few hours and stopped. They came and said we now need a control circuit board, which would run about $600. Later he checked on the part and said it was actually one thousand dollars. The service repair guy was very professional and courteous.
He left and said to get back to them once we decided what to do. We looked the part number up and they sell new for around $400 so we bought the factory authorized replacement. Short on cash we purchased one and installed it using an electronic specialist that we knew and it worked fine except now the blower motor wasn't coming on. Called Hawn back to see if they could come out and test or replace that and I was informed that they will never come and do anything ever again on our furnace and left us in the cold.
I told them I understand they are not responsible for anything related to the control circuit board and the new problem was unrelated to this but they cut all ties because we tried to replace a simple part that we couldn't afford. Again, we have no extra money for these repairs and no heat in zero degree weather. We finally went with a brand new simple, less efficient furnace from another company, which we would have done in the beginning if we knew of all these issues.

My furnace quit 2 days before the coldest weather in January. Installed in 24 hours. The install was flawless. They balanced the system and repaired the humidifier without extra charge. The Amanda furnace is incredible. My house is a barely insulated 1830's farmhouse. Never been so comfortable. I would recommend this locally owned company to anyone. Every employee was knowledgeable and considerate.

Hawn just completed a furnace, central air, new thermostat, and hot water heater installation for us and we couldn't be happier with the entire process. The installers were very polite and extremely knowledgeable. They found a venting issue that was not part of the original quote and fixed it without extra cost to us. All the units were thoroughly explained to us after install and all the work areas were left very clean. Highly recommend!

Apparently, it's a season of repairs for us. This time, the furnace decided to stop working. The children huddled around a space heater as they moaned about being cold as they got ready for school. Even the fog looked pitiful. We called Hawn and someone was out a few hours later. The technician checked several things and walked us through everything.
Finally concluding that the igniter needed replacing. This required a certain bit of acrobatics because nothing is ever simple in our house but he got the job done. We'll use them again in the future but I hope we don't need them!

I sought out Hawn based on the recommendation of a trusted friend. I ultimately chose Hawn to remove our oil furnace and replace it with a natural gas after meeting with one of their sales persons. The communication was professional, friendly, and I didn't feel pressured into buying a product I didn't really need or want. The installation crew was very nice.
I felt confident in their skills. I don't know what else to say, the experience was just over all very good. I had to have a chimney liner installed, Hawn contracts that service and even those guys were very pleasant to deal with. Overall, I guess no one really WANTS to have to deal with furnace issues, but this was positive experience and if you have to buy a new furnace I would recommend Hawn.

Hot water heater died on Sunday and we had our new on demand installed by 3:00 on Tuesday. It would have been Monday but folks with no heat are a priority and I totally get that. Mike was awesome and went over every detail with us. The installers Doug and Chad were awesome too! We had no surprises and everything was installed and priced as explained. Mike even did my RG&E rebate for me. Thanks Hawn!

I can't believe I forgot to write a review - until now. Maybe it's because it's the middle of winter and I am so thankful that my home is really warm now. Ok - short back story. I've lived in my house for almost 7 years now, and the boiler we had been here for about 50 years. It was well made obviously because it lasted so long, but it was definitely on its way out, and I wanted to intervene before I woke up one morning freezing, with frost growing on the windows.
I did some shopping around, and decided to go with Hawn. Maybe it was the sales pitch. Maybe it was the way they answered all my questions. Maybe it was the recommendation from a friend. Either which way - I was going with Hawn. They also managed to secure me a really solid, reliable boiler before Carrier switched to a newer model that lacks a track record.
I wasn't actually home for the install, but my husband reports that they came in, did their job, took a short break for lunch, came back finished up, and CLEANED UP when they finished. I think the basement floor is now cleaner than it ever has been. To get any kind of compliment from my husband is rare, so I can't say enough for the work they did.
They were professional, polite, and a pleasure to do business with. I would warn you that they aren't cheap - you pay a little more for quality parts and service, but I am really pleased with the whole process, and look forward to doing business with them again. If you're in the market for heating units or service, consider giving Hawn a chance.
