To say "Good HVAC folks are hard to find, " is a massive understatement. "Close to impossible" is more like it. Pretty sure I found one today, though. Blake with ABA showed up to fix my A/C that's been out for almost a week. Sadly, the blower motor is out and has to be replaced. He took time to explain the problem, associated costs and wait involved for the repair.
Not great news, but he was a straight shooter and was very courteous and professional. He also researched the warranty and is likely saving me over $1K for his efforts. Bad day, but without his help would've been much worse. Definitely the only tech I want working on my system.

Was able to come out and fix my dryer the same day I called. Was about $300 said and done with tax, which I was satisfied with as that saved me the hassle of having to shop and have a new one delivered. The tech identified my problem within the hour and ultimately replaced the thermal element completely, as the original was warped, which caused it to touch the housing and cuase a short, which was causing other problems as well.

Maybe you can be one of the lucky ones of whom they accurately take your contract info and show up. Even better you might be a prospective client to whom they speak with respect instead of making you feel as if you are a nuisance. Either way if they book your appointment five days out as with me, you'll have plenty of time to place your wagers.

I would give zero stars if I could. We had them come out in July to look at our icemaker in our refrigerator that was 16 years old. They said we needed to replace. Makes sense after 16 years. Fast forward to November 3. Our ice maker starts leaking large amounts of water into the ice bin and onto the floor. I call today.sorry we only offer a 90 day warranty. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My first one lasted 16 years and the one they put in lasted 3 months? I should have read all the HORRIBLE reviews before calling this place. DO NOT USE ABA Appliance Repair!

ABA Appliance Repair, Inc.'s employees are perhaps as well trained, knowledgeable and experienced as one could ever expect. of the absolute best. I've contracted for the services of businesses in twenty cities, in 16 states. I own a construction service business that is licensed to repair and construct in all 50 states; I've employed more than 5,000 construction services personnel in the last 40 years, so I'm speaking from experience.
I am humbled by the firm's excellent service, starting in the back office, and all the way to my kitchen. I make an appointment, get a confirmation, get notice of pending arrival, get excellent or better quality. workmanship; and am pretty much in awe of the level of care, concern and awareness that the personnel in this company have for their customers.
The service person knows the customer's name when they arrive at the appointment, they are always on time; and if they are early, they call to ask if that is okay! My advice is to work with ABA Appliance repair, especially if you need a well trained, competent, communicative person with unmatched skills (and the tools and equipment to go with it).
I paid with a credit card, and had an email receipt, with an explanation of the services performed, including the name of the service person, before they walked out my door. I hope the service personnel that helped me read this, including Missy and Katelyn, Marcus, Jeremiah and the trainee that he was supervising (I'm sorry I don't remember his name). Keep up the great work, and thank you for helping to make my life better.

We have a 2 year old Samsung refrigerator and the flex drawer had a problem with the touch panel. The technician was out 3 times to fix it. He was probably out each time about 30 minutes, a total of 1 hour and a half. I looked on YouTube and told him what I thought was the problem and sure enough that what it was. The company charged me $330.00 for the job.
The part which was a wiring harness couldn't have cost more than 20 dollars. The technician was nice but the price charged was completely out of line. Its like the old saying goes Atleast Jesse James had a gun when he robbed people.

Our icemaker was frozen shut. We called to have it fixed, and they showed up without any of the tools needed to unfreeze it. They told us that it would cost $840 to fix it properly because they would need to replace the whole thing (could be true, not sure). We told them we don't need ice on demand that badly. They charged us $140 for this "service". We still have a frozen ice box, but at least they showed up on time, right?

Hands down, great service! If you are looking for people that take care of you and show support by helping to answer any and all of your questions, LOOK no further. I will continue to use this service, if not for the main reason that they have people like Jermiah and Todd working for them. Thank you for bringing my stove back to life! Service: Oven repair

Our Whirlpool dryer stopped heating. Called ABA and they came out within a day or two of our call last week. Marcus diagnosed the issues. Needed the vent cleared but also needed to replace the heating element. He scheduled the follow up appt for the following Monday (this week). Todd performed the work successfully. The price was fair and the work performed was explained to my satisfaction. Both service techs were professional and friendly.

My ac went out on one of the first hot Sundays in June. I called ABA and they came out same day. Went over several options with me. The next morning they came back and installed a new system. Very impressed with how quick and professional they were. Now my ac is quieter and cooler than ever. My electric bill has been averaging 11% less than last year! Thank you ABA!

This is NOT a review of the actual repair service or technicians, because I did not get that far. This is a review of pre-screening scheduling call, in which the receptionist is in charge of assessing the situation and scheduling a repair appointment. I called because an oil spill on my Frigidaire gas range led to a noxious chemical smell. afterwards, even though the range has a sealed top, and I cleaned all signs of visible oil from the top, and from the burner itself.
For the next day, any time we used the burner, or the oven, the smell, which was clearly not oil, but chemical, permeated the house, and I knew that meant that something was wrong UNDERNEATH the cooktop, where the gas jets.

Randy the is Wayland and I have been trying to talk with you for a few now! I want to talk to you about why y'all let me go for doing my job!? You own one hell of a crooked company! It's not my fault that you diagnosed the heat kit faulty when it was the 24 V relay! You should quit paying your techs on commission based pay to avoid the situation. that happen today.
I get seven years as a service tech and I am really good at what I do but I'm not going to lie for you and your company to make you more money. Would've been nice if you would've at least showed up at some point to talk to me or at least call me. At least the lady at 195 blank blank in dripping Springs thanked me for being honest with her and telling her the truth today.

We hired them to fix our air conditioner unit. The guy came and left, and 6 hours later, water was pouring from our ceilings. They sent a second guy, he came and re-fixed, said that the first guy didn't do it right, and now, will not stand behind their work and help us with the cost of repairing our ceilings! DO NOT USE THEM!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANY ONE. they will diagnose an issue, charge you a fee, and then the next day tell you need to pay more money as there is another issue! Last month I called ABA Appliance as my heater was not working. When I asked about their pricing they told me that they charge a 75 service call fee, however if I get my unit. repaired the 75 will go towards the cost of my repair otherwise I would just py 75 for them to diagnose my unit to tell me what was wrong with it.
When the technician Aaron arrived to my house he told me that he was able to determine why my heater was not working. He told me that I needed to replace my fuse and fix the condenser. He quoted me $387.

I proudly worked with ABA Appliance back in 2015 and 2016. I got to tell you they 're a family business who take great pride in what they do so it kinda bothers me when I hear people bad mouth them. You know you just can't please some people no matter what you do but as an employee there that was one of the requirements, and it still is. Randy, . the owner, and his family are by far the most reasonable, customer care driven, smart, efficient, honest, and friendly people I have ever had the pleasure of working with in all my years of HVAC/Appliance installation and repair.

If I could give them less of a star I would. Do not waster your time or money. They misdiagnose your appliance and then try and charge you for their mistake. That is after they send a tech out 5 times for the same problem. When you call they don't want to talk to you just pass the buck and act like you are not important. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB.
