For over a century, Welsch Heating and Cooling Company has been fortunate to have a motivated, professional, staff that's eager to help and committed to quality customer care.
Our original location was built in 1895. The Welsch Furnace Company (now Welsch Heating and Cooling Company) was founded in 1895 by current president George Welsch's great-grandfather. The company was located for more than 75 years at 5601 Manchester Road in the historic Forest Park South East neighborhood.
For over a century, Welsch Heating and Cooling Company has been fortunate to have a motivated, professional, staff that's eager to help and committed to quality customer care. We'd like to sincerely thank all of our employees, present and past, for their help and dedication. You undoubtedly realize how much experience can be a vital ingredient in solving a problem.
We got four estimates and two of them were pretty high and two were very close, Welsch being one of those. But at the end of the day I was very happy with Welsch and the amount of time they took to figure out the right size AC and Furnace. We called Welsch to provide a second opinion after another service provider recommended a new furnace.

I worked with David G. to replace a 2.5 ton unit that serviced our newborns 2nd floor room. Ultimately we didn't choose Welsch, the only reason being a slightly longer lead time than a competitor (3 vs 5-7 business days, both of which are great when triple digits are in the forcast). David showed up on time, was responsive to our questions, and was all around great to work with.

The pricing he delivered was straightforward, cost competitive, and clearly defined. I would recommend my service experience with them to a friend, and if the needs arises, call them for my own future HVAC needs. tldr: If the experience was good enough to write a review online even when they didn't win our business, its pretty clear their customer service is top notch all around.

Welsch installed two units in our new build home (2014). 18 months in the evaporator coil fails. After I tell them I want it replaced under the Lennox class action suit they replace it (after initially telling me they would charge me). Fast forward 6 years (The home is only 8 years old) the same evaporator coil FAILS AGAIN. You'd think if a customer is loyal and comes back in the time of need that would be the time for a company like Welsch to shine. Well, not exactly.

I'd ask everyone who reads this if you'd be satisfied paying this company if something brand new fails twice in under 8 years? One would think the company would want to at least stand behind something they preach about and help the loyal customer (maybe discount the repairs?). Nope, Cindy "the service manager" told me to pound sand and she be happy to help me spend another $2000 6 years after they PERFECTLY installed the SECOND FAILED COIL in 8 years.

She also said she'd be happy to get my air back on in 2 weeks (WE'LL BE DEAD BY THEN CINDY). Mr. Welsch, I'd like to thank you for posting all this jargon about your 124 years of St. Louis service that you post when someone gives you 5 stars. I'd equally like to thank you for taking a dump on those who empty their wallets into yours on products and services that fail every 5 years so you can simply take their money again and teach your service manager about standing behind the reputation you preach about. Our reputations are all we have left in this greedy world, what does this say about yours?

I strongly recommend NOT using this company! 0 stars. During a yearly maintenance call (I was not having ANY issues at all) turned very $$$$ After the tech left, I had a broken ac unit and Welch wants $2500 and claims bad timing. Again my ac worked perfectly fine until 2 hrs after the tech left. Horrible business - STAY AWAY and company policy is "bad timing"

New customers for a commercial space with an ac issue. Donnie came out and took great care of us! He was professional, thorough and had us running in top shape fast. Definitely recommend Welsch for your hvac needs!

Top Notch. One particularly hot weekend our prior service simply was not answering the phone--even after having recently repaired the AC. Welsch came that day--fixed a problem that in retrospect had been present for quite some time and the system has been flawless since. I even offered to replace the system as it is getting up there and he gave me the honest opinion to wait!

Now they are our team. Prompt, reliable, available, courteous, effective, competitive.very happy with the switch to Welsch. Follow-up: 3 years later--sticking with Welsch; great company!

Welsch's install team did a great job installing a new HVAC system for our home. Our AC went out about 10 days ago and with the heat index forecast I was very worried. They were able to get a team out to do our install this morning and had it done by 12:30 pm. They did amazing work with every detail done beautifully. I highly recommend Welsch for any HVAC work you may need. 5 star service all the way.

My furnace and AC unit were in desperate need of replacing; both were old and the AC had stopped working. Welsch had originally installed the furnace and AC unit in my home and I had been happy with their work for the maintenance calls I'd done previously so I called to get a quote. Denny came out to take measurements and discuss my options on Thursday.

He was very thorough and professional; he made sure I understood everything and made recommendations that would be appropriate for my home and get me the best value for what we needed. The price he got us was very fair. They had the parts we needed in stock and got everything installed two days after told them we wanted to go ahead with it. The installation went smoothly, nothing got banged up, and now my house is a livable, comfortable temperature again! I'm extremely pleased with the service we received from Welsch and would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work done.

Welsch installed the unit on 10/1/14 and failed to give the homeowner or realtor the warranty information. I found the warranty inside the condenser unit outside when checking for leaks. Now the unit is not under warranty and is leaking refrigerant. Welsch honored the warranty and agreed to pay for parts. I am very pleased with the results.
