We had a great experience! I came in needing a specific part for my outdoor AC compressor. Even though the part that I brought in was mislabeled from the factory, they were able to quickly figure out what part it actually was, got it ordered and into their shop within 2 days. AC is now up and running just in time for a super hot day. The staff is professional, yet very approachable and friendly. I would definitely recommend them.

This place is amazing! They are ready to help you in any way. From getting the full service done by professionals to your DIY HVAC. Projects they are able to provide the knowledge and products you need to get it done! The staff is super warm and understanding of any skill level and help you to make a game plan. We needed to fix a break in our water line to the swamp cooler.
They let me know the best quick fix and priced out a full line replacement. He never tried to upsell me and really seemed to care about me getting the Job done for the best price possible!

I was supposed to get a new swamp cooler installed on my roof. When they showed up they said I had a steep roof ( not true ). I told them how I had installed the one already up there, but it was obvious they didn't want to do the job, and in able to do it they would have to have a crane. There was going to be a extra charge for that so I told them forget it. The installation was all ready way over priced for a simple job.

I Previously had a Great Experience with a Water Heater Installation in 2020 with Kersley. I Maintain my Central AC unit myself until i Cant troubleshoot it. I clean out the filters and clean out the debris. I disconnect the indoor and outdoor power for safety. The other day the AC wouldnt run in the unit but blew inside. I scheduled a tech to come out today.
He turned on the unit at the Thermostat. Went outside and pulled out the Power fuse. Flipped over the fuse and the unit started. Due to the fuse upside down and 5 min of his time, he still charged me $80 for my mistake. I am Extremely Disappointed cause i had previous business with them and they could have cut the price but Didnt.

I am very late putting my reviews in! My dryer is an older model and was what my husband and I could afford at the time we got it. Kearsley has helped me several times fixing my unit and providing me with the tools, supplies and advice needed to keep my machine running! Thank you guys so much for the several years of service and reliability! I have more confidence and knowledge fixing my machine thanks to you guys!

When I called I was told they had serviced my kitchen equipment before. When the tech showed up after being there for 25 min told me that had He had no experience working on my oven or dishwasher. So I was charged for a guy to come out to tell me they will have to send someone else. Only plus is they did fit in that same week I called

The guy behind the counter was beyond helpful! Our furnace went out when the temp outside was going to get well below freezing! He helped me get the right part after a different service company tried to rip us off in our time of need for $3,800! $109 and about an hour of work later and we got our furnace up and running! Thank you! Our home is nice and toasty!

I called the Dick Kearsley Service Center about my dishwasher not working properly on 1/4/2022. They sent out one of their contractors to come look and it and he diagnosed that the water pump was out and needed to be replaced. So they ordered the part, told me it would take a week and a half to get it in. I waited a week and half and then called them and they said they just got the part in the night before and were going to call me.ok.
So then they put us on the schedule for the following week to have the pump installed. Well the technician (I am guessing they only have one?) called in sick. We scheduled it out for the following week, they call and reschedule again because he is still sick. I get that COVID is going around but come on. Finally they get out here the following week and replace the water pump. Parts and labor were about $400 bucks.ok I guess its better than replacing the dishwasher.
We use the dishwasher for a few days and notice that its still having the same issue. Call them back out and they come the next day and the same technician that replaced the fuel pump tells me that the other guy that first came out (it was this guys last day by the way) has misdiagnosed it and its actually the motherboard in the dishwasher that needs to be replaced and they don't have the part, the parts actually on backorder and there is NO ETA.
I first talked to them on January 4th and its now the January 28th. So almost a month without a dishwasher and basically because of their mistake we are out $400 for a water pump we didn't need and we still have to replace the dishwasher. Proceed with caution when using these guys for appliance repair. I am not happy with the service at all.

I called to have a water heater replaced. The business gave me some estimates and indicated that there may be additional expenses if they had to add safety straps to bring the new water heater into compliance with regulations. When the repair person arrived, we were told that it would be $700 more than I was quoted and that he could not do the install that day as promised.
I called the girl back who had originally given me the estimate and we very pleasantly agreed that they would come out the following day and we would get it resolved. The next morning I got a call telling me their business was no longer allowed to install water heaters, which was a blatant lie. I treated this business with respect and courtesy and they were dishonest and deceptive in return. Do not consider them. I am highly offended by the way I was treated.

Josh did an amazing job getting the furnace lite for my friend. She is a single lady that needed help to get her house warmed up, I tried to help her light it with no success a friend of mine referred me to Kearsley so we gave them a call. They came the same day. Josh changed 2 fuses and also found a wire that was in the wrong place. Problem solved at a reasonable price.

The first time the gentleman came out he was very friendly and quickly 'diagnosed' the issues. The second time he came out to actually do the fixes, he spent the majority of the time he was here, which was 3-4 hours, telling me I could look this stuff up on YouTube and it myself. If I wanted to do it myself, I wouldn't have called you. Then he went downstairs and, when he saw my cat box, let me know he was allergic to cats.
So now I'm freaked out that he's going to go anaphylactic. He fixed the washer and that was great. The stove was not fixed. He let me know he's have to reschedule with a senior tech but didn't know if he'd be able to come back because of the cats. I had to call a week later to find out when I was rescheduled. They finally got me on the schedule with both techs and they came out.
The senior tech immediately 'diagnosed' the issue and they left. Again, I had to call to schedule the appointment. I asked to speak to a manager because I don't feel I should have to pay for the parts they wrongfully installed. No call from the manager. When my appointment date finally came, I got a call 3.5 hours into my 'window' and was told they wouldn't be able to make it and I again had to reschedule.
I again asked for a manager to call me. This is now a 2 month saga and multiple days taken off to get this fixed. They finally came out today, and the issue is still not resolved. My husband paid them and refused to waste another minute trying to get this fixed with this company. I am so disappointed. We specifically chose this company because they are local and we wanted to support that. Shouldn't have wasted my time.

Kudos to Jason on providing service on my A/C unit.he diagnosed the problem as being a bad fan motor; however, upon replacing it found that it was much more than that. I really appreciate how quickly he was able to arrange for a new unit to be installed. AWESOME TECHNICIAN! Thank you Jason! Service: HVAC maintenance

I'm really grateful that Julie was able to send Chance out to fix my swamp cooler. The pump was out and the temperature is supposed to reach 100 today so I'm glad he was able to replace it for me. Chance was professional, friendly and he did an excellent job. Being new to the area I'm happy to have found a reliable company to call when I need them.

Started off as a pleasant experience, seemed very helpful and knowledgeable. Salesman told me my part was definitely bad and sold me a replacement. After installing, still did not fix issue. Returned $100 part with receipt and was told no refunds on electrical parts. Which mine wasn't By another salesman that was very rude. So now I have a $100 part I have no use for. Thanks

Tech came out looked at refrigerator told us to contact the manufacture that it is under extended warranty. Then had him look at refrigerator in garage he said there in nothing wrong, it wasn't working but is now. We plugged it in it worked for two weeks. Didn't work on either appliance but charged us 130 dollars. They used to have a good reputation, some of their tech's are not very honorable. I will use someone else in the future.

My 5 year old AC unit wasn't working. I was super frustrated because I moved into the house after the new unit was put in and could find no information about who installed it. I called 3 different companies to find the problem and get an estimate. 1st company said there was an inside coil leak and I needed to replace the full unit. It would cost. 6000 plus. 2nd company, same diagnosis.
They wanted 4500 plus to replace the unit. Next I called Dick Kearsley Service Center and thank goodess I did. The problem ended up being a simple loose bolt. He tightened it, added freon and cleaned out the outdoor unit. It cost 300 dollars. Thanks to Shane Kearsley for taking the time to figure out what the real problem was!

I had a start capacitor that went bad on my A.C. unit. After some searching I found Dick Kearsley service parts had it. Capacitors are a very common part for electrical motors. The website stated that they are competitive with online prices. Well I went to buy the part the next morning and was charged $42. Online the part is anywhere between $7-. $15.
Competitive with online prices is a joke of a statement. Over a 300% markup and they don't care. If it had not been super hot the next day I would have one day shipped on Amazon for a total of $10.58 with tax. Just a heads up if you are not a contractor or HVAC specialist you will over pay for parts.

Great place if you need service or if you are a diy person. I had an HVAC problem and they helped me troubleshoot and had all the parts I needed to fix it myself. I have been a long term customer and have never had an issue. They never tried to sell me on bringing a service tech out and they walked me through any issue I ran into.

There service guy literally spent 2 minutes in my home, stuck his head in the washer, used no tools or flashlight and told me to replace my washer. I asked what was wrong and he said he didn't know but it would be $700 for him to figure it out. Then charged me $65 just to show up! how can you charge someone to diagnose a problem and use no tools and honestly say to someone they dont know what the problem is and feel good about charging them $65? Please do your homework before calling around for anyone to repair anything!

Really friendly, Super helpful. He walked me through steps for fixing my unit that I wasn't 100% sure on. Had a great selection of products which was great cause none of the big stores carried the motor I needed, and we couldn't wait several days for shipping without air conditioning in the summer heat.

I went to the Clearfield store on 7 Jan 2019 to get a price on an oven seal the person behind the counter was Al and he quoted me $28 so went around town but could not find one in stock local so I went back on 9 Jan 2019 to order the part and there was a different person behind the counter he quoted me $60 for the same part. I told him that Al had told me $28 he said Al was on vacation and that he would look through his notes and try to contact him.
In the mean time I went ahead and ordered it. Got a call on 12 Jan 2019 that the part was in. Went by the store to pick it up and he was feeding me some bullshit that he called Al and that he did not remember me, I think he is full of shit and never called Al. He gave me a 10 percent discount which the price is still twice as much as the first quote.
So bottom line is I will not be going back to this store for anything. Their prices on parts are on average twice as much as parts on the internet and most parts they don't keep in stock. So save yourself some time and money and order all your appliance parts on the internet. Jon

Very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and had what I needed for old dishwasher! I thought I was going to be hand washing for a while. But Kearsley's saved the day! They are local business with reasonable prices. They are now in by my phone for good! Go by or call them to get an appliance going again.

Took several days to install my swamp cooler. Actually asked me to pray with them. I thought they were joking, until it happened! NOT OK! Kept telling me "don't worry, we'll figure it out". Told me, and the electrition I had come to help, they were not going to charge me for the extra labor, until they did! Wanted to bill me $1800 for a $600 -$800 job! Ended up paying $1288 which I still think was outrageous and a rip-off.
Now I still have to pay someone to fix my drywall they cut out! DO NOT have these guys to electrical work. Was going to have them do duct work and replace my hot water heater. Not after this experience.

I called to set up an appointment and got quoted a price over the phone since I knew what the issue was. When he got out there he told me it was going to be a different price and was about $70 more than I was planning on. I told him what I had been quoted and even though they made the mistake and quoted me that price he honored it and did it for me and was great to see it through. So the technician, Jason, was great at his customer service and I appreciate him standing by the mistake!

We had them replace our 22yr old furnace with one of their Kearsley branded furnaces. It is really a Goodman, 96%, single stage. Within a few days it started acting up, after a few minutes of running, it would turn off, and the turn back on, a minute later- still trying to get the house up to temperature. A week or so later it got worse. It would sometimes work, other times the furnace would light up run for 3 to 10 seconds, and then turn off, it would then start the cycle again, the igniter would glow, gas fires up, run for 3 -10 seconds and turn off. this would go on for a 1/2 hr or so. Eventually, it seemed to work and heat the house up.
I called Kearsely, a technician came out, checked voltage, and other things. the good news was that it failed while he was there. He cleaned a sensor the detects that the burners are going. "Hopefully that fixes it." It didn't seem that he know what was causing the problem. Today is the next day and in the morning the same thing occurred, off-on, off-on, off- on. I'm calling the technician as soon as they open for business.

Find someone else to fix your stuff! It took 2 months for them to fix my furnace. Then I was told they would work with me to make payments for my bill because we are going through a rough time and they just call to tell me they've charged my credit card that they had on file from the first time they came out. They charged me without even telling me before they did it.
And then I get attitude from them that "it's too bad they've already charged it". The office staff is very very rude. The repair tech was a really nice guy and felt very bad it took so long to fix but I will definitely not be calling them for any repairs again because of their office staffs attitude. I wouldn't give any stars if I could.

Is there any panic like that of a major appliance making that "whirring" noise? All due respect to my ancestors washing skivvies in the river on a rock, I want my front load washer humming quietly while spinning my delicates. Not the case yesterday when I find the wife using the manual drain on the front and a noise coming from the LG akin to the 3 year old dumping marbles down the heat vents. Deciding to show off my manly-man skills, I tear apart my washing machine.
Thanks to You Tube for showing me how to do it without breaking things. So here I am, torn apart washer, drain pump in hand. Aaaannnnnd, it is Saturday. Where to go? Kearsley, that's where! Friendly parts guys, great part selections, affordable prices. The advice and how-to knowledge is free. A great big "attaboy" for being open on the weekend as well.

We have had the Dick Kearsley Technician out to our home several times to repair our refrigerator. We have paid them over $500 for these repairs and the fridge is still not working correctly. Now they want to come again and charge us another $200+ to look at it again. I am unhappy that a service professional would not be able to either repair the problem in a visit or two. Isn't it his job to know what the problem could be as the professional?
I am unhappy with the company for wanting to continue to string us along and take our money even after they have been unable to repair the fridge. I would not recommend Dick Kearsley to any of my friends or family and hope anyone reading this will think twice about using their services.

Dick Kearsley's service was prompt and the quality seems good (in that our dishwasher seems fixed). The reason for my low rating is the poor quality of their dispatchers to adequately understand and explain their policy. And Dick Kearsley's unwillingness to stand by their error. Some service people charge _service minimums_ that is, you will pay a minimum service fee if parts and labor do not exceed that amount.
This covers their time and effort to show up and diagnose your problem. Others charge _service fees_ that is, a fee that they tack ON TOP of the parts and labor required for the job. My preference is to do business with the former. Dick Kearsley does the latter. The problem arose because I asked the dispatcher if their $55 charge is a minimum or a fee tacked on extra, because I don't like the latter kind of policy.
She confirmed my desire that the fee is a minimum that would be applied toward the cost of the visit. However it wasn't applied "toward" the cost as a minimum is, it was tacked _on top_ of the labor cost of the visit. So the service visit ended up costing me about 20% more than had I had our former service company come out on the call. Yes, Kearsley was more quickly available than my usual appliance service were this time. That's worth something but I don't think that much extra.
The bottom line is that I gave Kearsley the business because they were more quickly available and I expected their policy is different than it actually is. They were unwilling to stand by the error of their dispatcher who told me their policy is the kind of service I was calling for -- even though they aren't. They gave me 10% off -- an okay gesture -- but I'm still disappointed by their unwillingness to honor the service agreement as I believed I was getting when I agreed to have them come to our home. ### July update: I've downgraded Kearsley to a one star because after receiving my credit card statement they didn't honor their offer for 10% off and billed it in full. Jerks.
