The two technicians that came were kind, professional, and a pleasure to work with. They took the time to really clean our AC unit, check vent temp on each room, and answer any of my questions. I've used Tingey for plumbing and HVAC work in two Park City homes over the last five years, and they have been fantastic. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are so much more professional than any other businesses I have worked with -- they give you a time frame, they show up on time, and then they follow up afterward.

The people they have sent have been knowledgeable and courteous, and they are straight shooters, so I've never felt like there was any unnecessary work being done. And they always have great things to say about working for Tingey, so you know you're dealing with happy employees and a well-managed business.

We arrived home from a family vacation late last night to find that our hot water heater had burst and flooded our basement. I called Tingey Plumbing after hours service and they connected me to Jordan Walker, one of their plumbers. Jordan came out and did an excellent job of replacing our heater in a very efficient and professional manner. He later returned today to check on us and ensure that our new water heater is working well. Jordan went above and beyond in providing amazing customer service. I used Tingey's plumbing service to repair a toilet. They were able to fit us into their schedule very quickly. The plumber arrived on time and wearing a mask. He assessed the issue, gave me a written work estimate that I approved. He worked quickly and efficiently and very cleanly. Great customer service and a well done job.

I have known Ken 3 years, They have always taken care of me and my neighbors. Their price is middle to upper end, but when you have a problem they know what to do. And if there is a problem they always make things right. But you have to know I am biased. I have worked here for a year and have enjoyed every second of it. We found ourselves with a very stubborn plug in our kitchen sink. A quick phone call to the dispatcher got connected to a technician within an hour. The technician arrived within 5 minutes of the time estimated by the dispatcher. He assessed the problem and communicated what he needed to do and how much it would cost very clearly and got to work. Within an hour our sink was flowing again. I was pleased with the entire process. It was efficient and communication from the dispatcher and technician was thorough and very helpful.

I have never left a negative review in my life but my experience here was SO TERRIBLE that I feel compelled to do so here in order to protect others. BUYER BEWARE, this company is the worst! DO NOT TRUST or do business with them.

Great experience. Michael did all of the plumbing in our remodeled kitchen and bathrooms including fixing what our previous contractor did wrong. He was knowledgeable, very thorough and detail oriented, and took the time to fully explain everything to us before during and after. The owners Candy and Ken Tingey are also awesome people and very professional. Having talked extensively with them it is clear that truly care about being the highest quality, most knowledgeable plumbers in the business. Great company, I highly recommend Tingey Plumbing.

Warning! We had been using Tingey Plumbing for over 6 years. Something changed over the last year. The quality of their work went way down and their pricing went way up. It's a long story but we had to hire a different plumber to fix their shoddy work. A lot of it. Had to also negotiate their ridiculous invoices for the shoddy work. Will never ever want them near our home again. Mr. Tingey is a very knowledgeable and nice man, his young workers are completely incompetent. Find someone else!

I have worked with Tingey Plumbing for the last year as a landlord of apartment buildings and single family residential properties in Salt Lake City and Park City. I am also a licensed general contractor in CA and UT, so I've worked with many plumbing/HVAC contractors in my lifetime. Tingey is one of the best plumbing/HVAC contractors I've had the pleasure to work with in 20 years.

The most important quality they have is honesty. Let's face it, most don't have the technical expertise to know if their plumber is doing the right thing when it comes to repairs. I have found that everyone at Tingey (Ken, Jordan, Jared and the entire staff) to be trustworthy when to comes to the repairs and pricing. They are knowledgeable, responsive, professional and very customer oriented. I highly recommend Tingey Plumbing from small residential repairs to larger scale construction projects.

We have used Tingey twice in the last year for emergency plumbing repairs. Each time, they responded within a couple of hours. They were extremely professional. They fixed the both problems. I forget the name of gentleman who came out a couple of months ago, but Jordan came out this week and was awesome. They also did a visual inspection of some of the major appliances, i.e. washer and water heater, and identified small issues that required attention. They fixed those as well. As they were leaving, they also made longer term recommendations for preventative maintenance and system upgrades.

Tingey Plumbing did a fantastic job during our plumbing crisis! They were always on time, professional, honest, and open with communication. They worked with the highest level of integrity and always had the quality of work in the forefront. Our issue was extensive, and they spent several days in our home; by the time they completed the job, they felt like family! We would never use anyone but Tingey again!

Awesome & honest plumbing service! Called to have a toilet looked checked out at my place of employment. Totally thought it was going to be a missive job with lots of parts and labor. Michael was sent to evaluate the problem and give us a quote. Turns out a tube had come unplugged on the inside of the tank causing the leak. Michael plugged it back and was honest about what he did. He totally could have spoke plumber to me and charged an arm and a leg! But he was honest and up front from the start! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Ken, the owner is great! Years of experience, professional, honest, and trustworthy. I am using them for quarterly and annual maintenance and when the house plumbing needs repair which is not a lot. I'm still getting familiar with his staff and this relationship is new, but so far I was really impressed with Ken.

"After more than a 4 years of doing business with this Company, (in which, by the way, we had never compared prices. My bad.) I had them come to my home to investigate a strange sound coming from my central air conditioner unit. They arrived soon after and determined the problem to be a" Motor Run Capacitor". The service man quoted me a cost and it being 98 degrees outside, as well as trusting our past relationship, I approved the installation.

The charge for the part was $221.00. The service call was an additional $149.00. Later, I decided to checked the Internet for the part and found it to be between $6.51 and $9.61, depending on supplier. The installation took all of 10 or 15 minutes. They(TINGEY) also recommended an additional part for which they charged $323.00. (I didn't get the packaging on this part, so no comparison possible.

I can only imagine.) Before I called the Company to determine if an error had been made, I made a call to a competitor and was quoted between $125.00 and $180.00, which would include the service call. I made the call to Tingey to inquire if an error had been made, and was treated to a lecture about overhead, transportation, professionalism (and why did I approve the installation in the first place, (I guess I should know what a capacitor costs).

I offered to pay twice the amount quoted by the competition and was told it was unacceptable. I concluded this Company would rather save a few dollars now, and lose the long-term customer relationship with me, as well as a longer customer relationship with the family who had recommended them to me in the first place. I said the same to the office manager. She said that was OK and that is what happened." ALAN COHEN

After several frustrating attempts at dealing with this company, I finally called it quits today. A few months ago, I had called them to address an issue with my A/C unit. I was given a date & time for my appointment. It was subsequently changed and rescheduled multiple times. Citing reason of the company owner having surgery- blah, balh ( he wasn't even the one doing the repair) Now todays final straw came, after losing heat yesterday afternoon, and calling for service, I was convinced by a lethargic service man, that it'd be cheaper to wait until Mon. AM, as it was $unday. Expecting to be the first call of the morning, I was informed my appointment was superseded by a water tank install.?

I thought I was an emergency? I'd been w/o heat for over 24 hrs in January?! And I even subscribed to their "preferred customer" contract. This is a very small mom & pop operation, that seems difficult to keep good technicians, and hires a lot of inexperienced newbies. I have dealt with men disclosing to me " its my first day on the job" Will NEVER use them again, and DO NOT recommend them.

The technician was quick to diagnose the problem and describe the solution. I liked that he knew the cost of the repair up front and he was accurate. After obtaining the new part the installation didn't take long. He also provided extra services to upgrade my system; no increased costs. He left NO mess! I received a follow up call the next day which was appreciated. My heater now works as we want and our home is comfortable again. The repair and service were above expectation. I will call them again.

We recently bought our first home and it was built in 1901. Tingey Plumbing has been AMAZING with replacing old pipes and getting our home updated and up to code. Their customer service makes me so happy. Everyone from Candy, their secretary/scheduler to Ken was such a joy to work with! They are honest, skilled and quick. I will be working with their company for all future needs from now on.

I have found Tingey plumbing to be very reliable. The office calls me when they are on their way. I'm not sitting around waiting all day. Great customer service and very honest.

Our experience included an excellent scheduling person in the office followed by a polite and thoughtful repair person who was not familiar with our heating system. It took several trips back and forth to the warehouse to get all of the parts he needed. The system had been installed by Tingey 15 months previously but nothing was covered. On our invoice, it says "if nothing goes wrong the system should be fixed." Then it says "If it does act up, the outdoor unit will have a leak and will need to be repaired, under warranty." The warranty piece is hard to take given that they warranty labor for only 90 days.

Great customer service, very thorough with follow up and answering questions. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber. Very helpful and great at answering questions, explaining how things with our new water softener works.

Very helpful & top notch communication. I received 2 calls BEFORE my appointment AND the serviceman was actually early to the appointment. I recently purchased the home, so he spent extra time explaining the AC system and what he was doing to service it. Very friendly, very helpful, early arrival, & proactive communication - what else could I ask for from a service company? Will definitely use again!

Very kind! I didn't end up using this company because I had already purchased a Yelp deal with another. But Candy went above and beyond to fit me into their schedule today. They quoted me a very fair price for a house call. If I have future needs, I wouldn't hesitate to contact Tingey!

I'm appalled by this company. I needed work done and they bumped me back a day and a half from my original appointment. I waited so long that I no long had the choice to find someone else. After 4 hours of work they charged me $1000! I couldn't believe it. I was sick to my stomach. A complete rip off. There were two guys who did the job and the older one was so rude to the younger one.

I felt so bad for him. My one and only time ever using this company. The biggest rip off ever! Stay away! I had two other plumbers come out to look at what it should have cost and they said these guys over charged me by $450 at least!

I truly am blown away by the customer service I received from Tingey. I had an issue with the second time I used them, but they quickly did everything they could to resolve it. Never did they accuse me or place blame on me for what happened. They took full responsibility, and truly went the extra mile to take care of me. This is what companies used to be like- Tingey really does care about the customer. I will continue to use them for my plumbing needs.

We recently moved into a home that was suffering from "deferred maintenance" so wanted to have the water softener evaluated (it was our first water softener and we weren't familiar with its operation). Ken Tingey patiently took the time to teach me about how it worked while he checked over the unit. He made a couple of suggestions relating to how it could function better and took care of the changes at my request during the same visit.

He also had a quick look at our HVAC unit and pointed out a leaking pipe which could have caused problems down the road, if left unnoticed. A service appointment was scheduled at my request for a few days later. At that time, Rob efficiently repaired the faulty pipe as well as helped to resolve an existing problem with the filter rack that was proving to be a challenge when I tried to install clean filters.

My initial contact with Beatriz in the office instilled in me a sense of comfort that I had contacted a company with integrity. Both technicians were polite, informative, and professional while also being conscientious about covering their boots before stepping into our home. Experiences with other plumbers at our previous home had already prepared me that plumbing services can be costly. What makes the cost bearable is having people in your home whom you feel you can trust are treating you fairly and honestly.

I called over the weekend because my RADIANT HEAT had a dead zone. I never received a call back by Monday 10:30 so I called again. They scheduled me for Tuesday. Their fees are a little high, First hour @ $129 which includes drive time(1/2 hour), then $99/hour billed in 1/2 hour increments. BUT here's the uncomfortable part, they wanted a credit card # before scheduling or dispatching.

I said I wanted to pay with a check and they don't care, they HAD to have a credit card with everything including exp date & security code. Of course I gave them wrong digits. I NEVER heard of such a policy and found another company to use.

Having Tingey Plumbing take care of a few issues we had in our home was a great experience. They made sure I was informed of arrival times, worked efficiently and even cleaned up when they were done. I was very pleased.

Tingey was able to get to us very quickly. They were friendly and helpful when I made the appointment. The gentleman that fixed our water heater was also very friendly. The problem has been resolved and we were thankful for quick and friendly service. He also finished faster than he had planned. They followed up as well to ensure we had had a great experience. You can tell that customer service is important to them. We will use them in the future.

These guys are the best. Everyone is extremely competent and they take the time to help you understand the problems and solutions. The best part about my dealings with them is that they are old school. They come in, take a look at things, and deal with you reasonably. If you could probably fix the issue yourself, they will tell you how, shake hands and leave - no charge.

If you need them to fix the issue they will, but it's always fair. That is the way my Dad did business and I am so happy to have found another company who thinks the same way. I give Tingey my highest recommendation. Oh - and if you call them, I would recommend that you look at their $99 dollar three year membership plan. For $99 they will show up once a year to make sure everything is operating as it should. If you need work, you get it at a discounted rate. Works for me!

I called Tingey Plumbing & Heating for a furnace tune up and they scheduled me for the next day. Not only did they actually show up when they said but, they called to let me know the techs were on their way. When they arrived, they put on shoe covers and went right to work. They did a great job of cleaning out the furnace and he even adjusted the gas intake because I live at a higher altitude, it doesn't need as much gas.

Now the furnace is quieter and more efficient. It was the best experience I've ever had with a Plumbing & Heating Company. I would recommend Tingey Plumbing & Heating to anyone looking for a company that will do what they say and take pride in their work.

I love these guys! My heating system and a lot of my plumbing was a big mess, despite being "fixed" many, many times and with a lot of expense from other companies. They came in, reviewed every single thing very carefully and explained all of the problems to me in great detail--yet with language that I could understand. I feel that their service is fast, impeccable, prices reasonable and they back up their work on the rare occasion that there is a further problem. They really are the best. If only I had found them years ago, we could have been spared a lot of time, agony and money!
