I have been on the Board of Directors of Redwood Community Center, Inc., dba Centro Esperanza for many years. Dean's Shop has been wonderful about helping us with our needs at the community center. When we first built the center in 2013, they helped us decide what would be the best way to heat and cool our small building. They installed the equipment for us and have kept it going well for 10 years. Minor repairs were taken care of immediately. I highly recommend Dean's Shop. They are a great company to work with.

The young man was professional and friendly. Was patient enough to show me exactly what went wrong with the unit. And when asked even gave me a few tips and things I myself could check and keep an eye on to hopefully avoid any additional problems with the unit down the road. Thank you for your service. Well, the electrical outlet does work now, but I was of the impression that he did not need to stay for very long, and did not use any new materials; I think $150.00 is too high a bill. Service: General repairs

I called up Dean's to deal with some issues I was having with the venting in the kitchen of the house we just moved into. Tyler was very thorough in assessing the issue and even looked up information about our smoke detector because he thought it might be placed in the wrong location in our house. He helped us figure out a solution that didn't cost us tons of money. We'll also be needing work done installing new lights and updating our electrical panel and I will 100% be calling them again.

They then send you the bids for the repair or install you are considering they also include the base and the mid-level not the most expensive but best efficiency for the money, so you can compare up front costs to make the best decision for your family. They have great financing options that are super fast approvals from the comfort of your own home. I have used Dean's shop for almost ten years, they never disappoint!

Not a great experience overall. The tech who came was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and resourceful. He consulted the owner who was also knowledgeable and fixed the problem quickly. The billing on the other hand has been problematic. We were invoiced for an amount not discussed for a solution that did not solve the issue. After some emails, that amount was supposed to be credited to the bill where the problem was actually fixed.

However the credit was short $30 when we finally received and reviewed the final bill. We were also told as a reason for delay that the receipt was at one point sent to the wrong email, which is a privacy concern for us. Competent repair service, but we would not use again because of the billing concerns.

Dean's Shop rewired my Dad's home, installed a new panel and meter, lights and ceiling fan fixtures, and more. Responsive, affordable and helpful, I really appreciate the quality work and professionalism. Thank you Walter!

We have been customers of Dean's Shop for 30 + years and have Never been dissatisfied with their service. They are always prompt when we've had appointments and are extremely pleasant to work with. They are very knowledgeble, experienced & have the necessary skills to perform their duties. They also have excellent service plans!

We operate a small church in San Marcos and one of our 10 ton AC units that cools the sanctuary fail and had to be replaced. Well, two years later the second unit failed and we had to do the same song and dance. Both units were large and difficult to remove and we had a risk of a major disruption in our day to day business. Dean's shop was the best price we found and the crews did a great job of not disrupting our day to day work environment. After another company giving us the run around for a week in the middle of July heat, Walter Motts comes to save us! He showed up right on time and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in less than an hour that the other company couldn't do in a whole week. The following day before 8am he was already calling to check on the unit to make sure our house was cooling properly and ready to send a technician first thing if it wasn't. Mr. Motts has a great reputation with a close friend who is an AC contractor and he comes highly recommended.

He was on time, knowledgeable, skilled and experienced (30+ years) and friendly. All of these are qualities that I received from Dean's Shop. I will not hesitate to give this company a call should I need them again.

Prompt and courteous service. My AC is working as good as new! Technician told me what the issue was and resolved it within an hour. I would use Dean's again for any of my AC issues without hesitation! DH

First, they were over three hours late. Next, they found the problem; the blower motor had slipped down preventing it from running. They estimated 90 minutes labor for repositioning the motor, no parts involved. Estimated cost $476!. They did not know if the motor had burned out, so there could have been more cost. They never checked the coolant system, so this could have been even more. I'm getting bad vibes, so ended up paying $144 for service call (what?) and will take my chances with somebody else.

I love Dean's Shop the staff is Professional, Prompt, super Friendly and very knowledgeable. I had to call them on a Saturday and they were willing to work with me that day to get my a/c back on.

These guys tried to charge us $2000 for something we didn't even need after we got a second opinion. The part was even under warranty still. No thanks! Nice try on ripping off young couples.
