Although today it is difficult to find high quality personal service, if you call Lakewood Furnace Company, this is what you will receive. A real live person, Renee answers the phone. She is pleasant, friendly and helpful. I was in need of immediate service for a complicated issue, and I was able to speak directly to Joe, the owner of the company.

He recognized my problem and worked quickly to resolve the matter. Joe stated that he was a consumer too, and he understood how customers wanted to be treated. Cliff, the experienced, talented technician who diagnosed and repaired the furnace malfunction was attentive to detail and answered all my questions in a way I could understand. I have been a customer of Lakewood Furnace since 2010, and highly recommend contacting them heating and cooling needs.

I have lived in Lakewood, Ohio for only three years. However I have owned 4 homes in my life. With extensive experience with HVAC companies, I can say without reservation, Lakewood Furnance has treated me like I am a valued family member. Joe the owner came to the home, we spoke extensively regarding options for Central air, great price ( I shopped them with competitors) right on time and their install team were great on communication.

I highly recommend you call them for a quote. Some might be a few bucks cheaper but you will learn quickly, that cheapest is not best. And how it's installed makes a huge difference. I have no affiliation with Lakewood furnace other than being lucky enough to have chosen them! Please make sure you include them in your search for the best overall price & SERVICE!

They have very knowledgeable service technicians working there. Had our furnace issue diagnosed & quickly fixed and saved us thousands. Another company said we needed a new one & did some bogus meter test on it, turned out to be a very inexpensive part. Honest work & honest people there

They replaced the 50+ year old hot water boiler in my 110 year old house. Joe was very knowledgeable during the quoting process and the installation team was top notch. Plumbing job is clean, the team was on time and courteous. You could tell by both the details of the install and the enthusiasm of explaining the system after that they take pride in their work. Highly recommended.

Scheduling an appointment is always seamless. The individuals scheduling appointments have always been friendly and helpful. Their service professionals are always polite, professional and on time.

I was dealing with a leaking AC when it was on. I went online to set up an appointment the night before. The company reached out via email early in the morning to confirm a time slot. No one likes to hear that it will between 12-4, but I get it. You don't know how long another stop will take you. The person who repaired my AC problems called 20 minutes ahead of time, was quick but efficient with his work, and explained with detail on what the problem was. I feel it was very fairly priced. The company was recommended to me, and I would do the same for others.

Lakewood Furnace Company was excellent. I needed a whole home humidifier and they got me scheduled in less than a week and installed in under 3 hours. The price I was quoted was exactly what I paid. They answered all my HVAC questions. Highly recommend.

LFC just installed central AC for us and did great work at a fair price. They were able to schedule us in a reasonable amount of time and completed the work professionally. It was an all-around great experience and I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work done.

Never called back to follow up on any part of the service or explain what was happening/what was next. I had to call myself to move things along at every point. Then tried to tell me my year old unit was so old the parts couldn't even be ordered anymore and that I needed a whole new unit. Called another company who was out same day and got the part and repair work down within 48 hours.

The other company also made sure I had some type of heat while I waited, meanwhile Lakewood Furnace left me with NO HEAT for over a week waiting on them to get back to me, in the middle of winter mind you. Don't bother calling unless you want your time wasted.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Everyone is friendly, professional & responsive. I live in an old house with an old heat/water system. Joe & his team put in a new boiler that had a glitch or two after installation. They worked patiently & tirelessly to get the new boiler to play nice with my old water pipes. This is a wonderful company. I highly recommend them.

Static electrical charge shorted out our digital display for the furnace thermostat. We had a technician come out and order us a new one. In the meantime, he was willing to do another thermostat installation for our heated floors, something they don't typically do (above and beyond). When I called the shop to find out how long it would take for them to receive the parts for the furnace, I was fortunate to have the owner, Joe pick up my call and get involved.

He mentioned that he wanted to do some research to see if we can just replace the thermostat rather than the that plus the Bluetooth unit that is on the furnace itself. It would save us have of the cost. This was meaningful for us to have someone take that level of care and concern to try to save US money. This reaffirms our trust in Lakewood furnace as an ethical and customer focused business. Above and beyond.

Thank you thank you thank you! Such a speedy, professional experience. Our old furnace stopped working and needed to be replaced during one of the coldest days so far this winter. The owner sprang into action, and got us up and running with a new furnace by the next day. The workers were professional, masked, friendly and efficient. Sitting cozy and warm now, thank you so much!

I'm never one to complain but this company vehicle who ever their driver was to this truck literally does not care about others on the road, one he kept speeding cutting people off in traffic on the HIGHWAY! Then had the nerve to give me the middle finger, if this person doesn't care about my life while driving wreckless idk not my company I'd ever call. Thanks for almost killing me

Stay away from this business. To start off, we called this business because our carbon monoxide detector went off, and suspected it was due to our furnace. The technician from Lakewood furnace came to inspect our unit. He spent a grand total of 5 minutes inspecting our furnace and told us that the there was a crack in the heat exchanger and that was likely causing the CO leak.

He said the entire furnace would need to be replaced and quoted us a new furnace for about $7,000. Obviously, we were hoping there was another option besides having to shell out seven grand for a new furnace. So a few days later we decided to inspect the unit ourselves. We inspected the chamber thoroughly and could find no such crack (note some cracks may not be visible to the naked eye but we had a device that could overcome this).

So we tried to see what may be causing the CO leak and it turns out it was a flap that was failing to open to properly vent out the CO. We fixed the flap and our CO detector has yet to go off. Instead of making a good faith effort to determine what the CO leak was from our furnace, the technician simply lied to us. What could have cost us $7,000 only cost us a few hours of our time to fix.

There is no reason you should ever contact these people, they won't solve your problem unless you buy something expensive from them. For such a cold winter this was, this was beyond heinous to put a family in a position to either shell out $7000 for a new furnace or wait out the winter.

Horrible they leave early every day with out the job unfinished. Also don't do what they are told to do. Very upset.

BEWARE! This place was awful. We called for a simple furnace tune up in the fall. We wanted to get our boiler oiled, cleaned and ready for the winter. Their unfriendly, unprofessional tech BROKE our vacuum AND our boiler and then lied about both. He said the boiler was broken when he came although he was down there working on it for a half hour and only told us right before he left.

Not only that, but we had heat before he got there and we didn't when he left. He didn't even finish the tune up (which was probably a good thing) because when he realized he broke our boiler, he came up and said he didn't have the tools to finish and practically ran out. When I called to complain the higher ups did nothing and stuck us with the problem. Thanks for the tune up you bums!
