TL;DR - excellent, quality service at a reasonable price. Had two outdoor hosebibs replaced. The one in the rear of the house was raining water inside, caused by split copper pipe. Front one was dripping if not turned off. Anthony iwas extremely knowledgeable, courteous, answered all my questions, explained what he was throughout the entire job. He gave me tips on how to avoid this in the future, what was needed, what I should not bother to do.
Very respectful of property - walked around the property instead of through the house (I said don't worry about it), just in case he would track some dirt in. He had to go through drywall in garage to get to the pipe, recommended a cover plate for the (neatly done hole) when I asked him. BTW, he first surveyed the work to be done, presented me with the price, breaking down the cost - none of the process was rushed. Sure, a simple job done very well, but to me that is telling of how they approach larger jobs.
Total on-sjte was about 2.5 hours - I never saw him look at his watch to hurry to the next job. Definitely will use Ryan & Company again, I'm a big supporter of family-owned businesses.

We had a leak in our water heater and needed to replace it. Ryan & Co was quick to respond and was able to send someone out within 24 hours. Our Technician, Michael, arrived on time, was courteous and professional, and was able to get the job done within a few hours. He left the area clean and took away the old equipment. Overall very happy with the service!

Customer since 2016. Technicians are great. Typically my experience has been 5 stars as I love(d) the responsiveness and that they send you a photo of the person showing up. Today, totally different story. I had a genuine concern and the woman on the phone for Service/Customer Support was incredibly combative. She refused to slow down and hear me out when I was actually saying the same thing she was.
She really didn't care about the direction the call was taking and it was obvious she was standing firm on a useless argument. I'm no huge customer, but I am/was supporting a local business since 2016; today's encounter not only makes me hesitant to ever use them again, but moreover hesitant to endorse to neighbors and friends. Then again, it's Monday; maybe she was just having a bad day.

I lost heat during a very cold weekend, contacted Ryan & Company, and received an immediate response the next working day. They re-arranged full schedules to get someone out to me, who worked every avenue to make sure he was making the best recommendation for me. I ultimately needed a new furnace, and they cleared the next day's schedule to install a brand new furnace for me. Cannot say enough good things!

Called for emergency service and received call back right away which was a surprise. Rich Whitehead arrived shortly after to try and fix our water leak on our old house. He was neat, calm and methodical. He explained what he was doing. While problem was not yet fixed completely, he was able to prevent significant damage, gave us extra tips and seemed very knowledgeable. Recommend him and will be calling back today to follow on next steps.

I called Ryan & Co this morning after waking up to no heat. I'd never used them before, they were recommended by a neighbor. Rich answered my call and could not have been nicer. He arrived at my home just shy of an hour after speaking with him and he called 15 minutes before he arrived. He knew exactly what was wrong the moment he heard the unit run. Rich's professionalism, knowledge, kind and friendly demeanor along with his exceptional work has gained a new and loyal customer.
I've had a "worry free" service plan for years which was never "worry free". I have canceled that plan and signed up for an annual service contract with Ryan & Co. If you want great service, fair pricing and true knowledge in the HVAC business, go with Ryan & Co., you won't be disappointed and Rich demonstrated that today! Thanks Rich, it was a pleasure meeting you and having you service my heater.

BE CAREFUL: If you're discussing a plumbing job on the phone with the front desk, the owner actually times their employees calls and caps it at around 2 minutes, even if your order is substantial (mine was around $28K). They also wanted 50% upfront before they can even confirm if the parts were in. Take care.

This is the second time we have used Ryan Plumbing and they are batting 1.000 as far as we're concerned. On the most recent call, the office told me someone would be here between 7:30-9:30am. Rich arrived in front of our house at exactly 7:30. He was cordial, very knowledgeable and shared his diagnosis without making the owner (me) feel like a dummy. We would whole heartedly for any future issues and would recommend them without hesitation. Mike Crowley

Pete is very helpful and knowledgeable. He fixed our AC leaking problem very quickly and thoroughly. His examination is very detail oriented and he was able to patiently explain the problems and terms to me. In addition, the price is fair and Pete doesn't push to sell any parts/service (we bought the AC/heat maintenance package anyway from Ryan Co. since we can tell from Pete's work this would be a trustworthy company. )

Ryan & Company built our brewery from the ground up. Working closely with the GC, they literally installed every inch of pipe from the new steam boiler in the basement, to the brewhouse. They brought to us creative ways to recycle energy, such as ceiling fans for heat, and improve efficiencies within our system with additional timers and valves. Ryan & Company installed a glycol cooling system on the roof and an extensive pipe network for cooling 11 tanks use for the CLT, fermentor and brite tanks.
Everything including a new hot-water heater and extensive network of pipes for compressed air. Every employees of Ryan & Company is a complete professional, on time and courteous. They were on site for eleven months and didn't stop until the job was complete. I would highly recommend Ryan & Company for any job.

Been using Ryan & Co for a few years mostly for water softener maintenance. They've also been here repairing pipes with pin hole leaks as well as installing a smart thermostat. Every Ryan technician that has been to the house has been on time, courteous and has answered any question that I asked. I like that they send emails when on route with a picture of the technician that's coming. I would recommend Ryan & Co. as they have never disappointed me with their service.

My basement flooded and I lost my hot water. Pete came within a couple of hours after my call even though they were fully booked today. Turns out I needed a new hot water heater. He was able to get the new water heater and install it in a couple hours. The water also destroyed the battery back up device for my sump pump and he provided me with my options. Pete was very thorough, professional and a pleasure to do business with.

Ryan & Co came to install a natural gas line to my deck for a new grill. They provided an estimate, scheduled the work as quickly as they could (took a few weeks due to other obligations) and helped to file all permits. A number of employees came over at various times to assist and everyone was personable, very friendly and professional. I strongly recommend them if you need water or gas plumbing in your home.

Decent service for certain things, but every time they work on a toilet, there's some kind of problem. Last time they replaced the handle on a Toto and it was wobbly. Today they changed a small rubber gasket on the bottom of the tank. It took five minutes. The part was worth about 50 cents. They wanted $215! I could have replaced the whole toilet for that. Too pricey. They have flat rates instead of t&m. Bad business model.

I changed my propane grill to gas but after hooking up the hose and regulator there was no gas coming into the grill. I checked all the valves and they were in the "on" position. I did a google search and found Ryan. I called on a Thursday and they scheduled me for Monday. The gentleman came out, he checked the grill and saw it was not igniting he removed the hose connector on the Gas pipe and we saw that gas was coming out.
I informed him that I also had a newer connector and he said "let's try that" He put it on and low and behold we were able to ignite the grill. Job well done my only complaint is that he was there for all of 15 minutes and I supplied the part that fixed the problem and I was charged $236.

For some reason Yelp won't let me update my original review, so I have to rewrite the whole thing. My last review was about a page and I can't copy paste, so oh well. Update: 3/5 stars (original was 4/5 stars) We had a forced air humidifier put in through Ryan Ryan's prices were competitive (not cheap, not expensive). The technician who did the work: Brian Unit: April Air 600 (manual set, not automatic) Overall the work was good.
It was put in on 12.2016. The only issue is they had to fix it twice now, once raj year. The first time was 12.2017. It was minor issue with the line being clogged. They blew it out and all was good. Now I also check it more often just to make sure it stays that way. This may not have been preventable, I'm not sure. Ryan charged @$80 for the visit.
The second time was the selonoid failed. It automatically stops / allows water to pass to the filter, and only does it when the furnace is on. It stopped all water from coming out. Ryan charged @$80 for the visit. They wanted @$290 to replace it. I felt that was too expensive and that part broke only after 2 years? seems pretty early. I called another company, they replaced it for $160, and said it looked old.
They showed me how a new one has a few things that make it better. Given it has only been 2 years, that doesn't sounds right. I didn't call Ryan about this or complain a lot. But I still feel like they should warranty something if it breaks within 3 years. Or just charge for parts or something. I've had contractors do similar things in the past, especially since I've been loyal in the past.

Couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Had leaks in the bathroom going down into the ceiling of the kitchen from a bad contractor who remodeled the bathroom. Called Ryan & Company to come take a look and the owner Bill came to take a look later that day. Sent out his technician Brandon, who was at our house at 8 AM the next morning to do the repairs.
After fixing the leaking shower, we decided he should check the toilet and sink as well to be safe. Sure enough they both had leaks as well, Brandon was able to fix all three leaks very quickly and even did some extra caulking to enhance the appearance. Both Bill & Brandon were very knowledgable, friendly, showed up on time and did a great job at a fair price. If you need plumbing work done in North Jersey, call Ryan & Company now.

We had a disappointing experience. The plumber was very friendly, but did not totally fix our issues on first visit. When called for a second visit, he finished the repairs and didn't think we would be charged. A week later a bill arrived. When we called office staff to challenge the bill. we were laughed at. Communication should have been better at time of service, as well as over the phone. We understand the reasons for the billing, but felt taken advantage of and not valued as customers.

Just had my third service with these guys and once again everything was excellent and really felt compelled to leave a review. Having bought a house that needed a good deal of work done I have been dealing with awful contractors for close to two years now. This company is a breath of fresh air. Whenever I call the receptionist is super friendly, the guys who come are always on time, friendly and get what they need to accomplish in a short time. They've addressed both of our heating issues with no problem and on very short notice. Our tech today, Richard was outstanding and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this company.

Last night, my steam boiler started running rough and giving off an odd odor, something other than a natural gas smell. After another company failed to find the problem first thing this morning and told me my chimney was likely blocked, I called Ryan and Co. after verifying myself that the chimney was clear. They came within a few hours and advised that the boiler flue passages were clogged and needed a cleaning.
A few hours later, everything is working great again. Fantastic service, super fast response time (can't tell you how many places didn't even call me back), and reasonable rates.

Thoroughly impressed with Ryan & Co. Upon return from a weekend away, our furnace was out, it was cold. I called Monday morning, and they were able to get me in on the day of the call. The tech actually showed up about 5 minutes early. which, is generally unheard of. A quick assessment, explaining what he was doing the whole time, the removal of an unfortunate mouse caught in the exhaust fan, an assessment of damage (none), a reset of the system and voila. we're off. Plus, I had some wire mesh that he used to put little blocks on the input/output, helped change the humidifier as well as whole house filter, gave a few pointers, and was on his way.
Definitely the easiest and most helpful HVAC experience I've ever had. Oh, and was able to take a credit card and write up a detailed receipt that was automatically emailed to me. which anyone using tradesmen knows it's normally and old school check exchanging hands, this is just another added bonus.

A small platoon of Ryan's army renovated the vent and drain for my kitchen, replacing old grody galvanized pipe that had nearly closed inside with all modern PVC. They also pulled out the big old clog-prone cast-iron trap, again PVC to the rescue. Let's just say the isht is flowing freely now! The two men in this crew were unfailingly polite, listened to what I requested exactly as far as routing the pipe and patching the roof, did a very professional job, and even made truly serious attempts at cleaning up after themselves lol.
The boss Kevin Ryan stopped by from time to time but left the work to the big dudes, clad uniformly in khaki work pants and dark shirts. They're a first class operation, down to the shiny truck stocked with everything you might imagine. Should you hire a plumber who drives a beemer? Well I was mostly trying to hire locally, and was exceptionally glad to see all the work done quickly, it's a little dicey when you can't flush! Of course there was a big bill at the end. At these hourly rates I just can't gjve 5 stars, sorry.
