I had my yearly maintenance done in March with another company that is well known. They had the wrong settings on my furnace and did not properly clean it. I called R Poust to come out and diagnose the problem. The customer service intake was friendly and very accommodating. The technician Frank W explained everything. His whole demeanor and care in explaining led me to believe the problem would be fixed.
Very competent, friendly and super clean in his work. You definitely get what you pay for! I will be calling R Poust year after year for my oil furnace maintenance! Great job and more importantly I have peace of mind knowing a confident and very skilled tech fixed the wrong that AJ Perri left behind.

Poust came out within hours of call, and Richard the technician was awesome. He explained everything to me, walked me through the whole process and educated me on my whole system. We had a welltank, PH Neutralizer, and water softener installed by Diego and his crew. The office staff who made my appointments were very courteous. Diego gave me so much information and answered all my questions when he came to give me an estimate that he made me feel comfortable about making a decision on what we needed for our well water. He was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and on time.
The installation was done on time and as stated and after install I was given instructions on upkeep. In all it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend R. Poust.

Matt B was our service technician. He is prompt, professional, courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. I can not say enough about how thankful I am that he took the time to explain our problem (in detail, and show me exactly what was happening). We had one completely corroded humidifier unit on our dual zone heating, and the other in need of repair.
He then gave me options (and pricing!) for service and scheduled a replace & repair appt which had our units humidifying the house perfectly the very next day! I HIGHLY recommend Matt B, and as an R Poust customer for 20 years, a technician like Matt will have us as Poust customers for 20 more. Thanks Matt!

Ryan was awesome. He was professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. We had extra questions and he took the time to explain everything and give us all the information without pressuring us to make a decision. We trusted his expertise, so we will be using R Poust again in the near future to keep our heating running at its absolute best. Additionally, the person I spoke to on the phone (I cannot remember her name unfortunately) was so helpful and friendly and made sure we were seen the same day I called. I can't say enough good things about what could have been a very stressful situation.

R Poust was pleasant to deal with and we'll continue using them in the future. They sent text messages leading up to the appointment providing status as to when we could expect the technician to arrive. Tim came to repair our furnace and was very helpful and professional. He explained the issues he found, and gave recommendations for future decisions based on the age and life expectancy of our unit.

Riddiculous! I've booked them to come over to check my newly installed Heat Pump /AC, they've booked me for 4 days later. The day before the appointment I receive all the emails and texts of confirmation. The day of, I receive a call from them saying they've got hold up on a job and can't come. The first available appointment they schedule me is 14 days later. I've lost 1 day of work to stay at home waiting for them.
The day before the 2nd appointment, I receive email and texts confirmations. The day of, I receive a phone call saying they got held up on a job and can't come, adding that they don't take new customers and won't come anymore, nor reschedule it. Bottom line, I've lost 2 days of work waiting for therm and 20 days waiting while I could have simply call someone else. Awfull behaviour, totally unprofessional and inconsiderate! If there was a 0 star I would have chose that. All the good reviews they have must be fake.

The plumber I typically use wasn't available due to Covid as well as his backup. I called Poust and they came same day with a free estimate. The estimate was $1000 more than other plumbers, but I was desperate. When I looked over the contract it listed $700 for permits and that it was being overseen by a licensed electrician. Only problem was there wasn't an electrician.
I called the town to inquire about the cost of permits. It was $133. I emailed poust and received a call from the owner I presume who said it's their intention to send an electrician. This unfortunately didn't happen until 3 weeks after the installation and an email questioning their charges. I did receive the permits in the mail, but the invoice sent to the town for the permit application was listed as $1600 not $2400 that I was charged.
I sent another email questioning the difference, but got no response. I suspect fraud on their part and wouldn't use their services again. I will be formally filing a complaint with the state to look into fraudulent business practices.

To start, I found the office/scheduling team very focused on our needs, and the technician, Nick, to be customer-oriented and diligent. I did pose some questions that I suspect made them more concerned about locating a somewhat intermittent problem. The team left the furnace functional with a temporary part, and ultimately returned with the replacement part and left a working furnace.
Note that the ultimate cost (more than $750, though I did elect to have the furnace cleaned as an option) was significant. My largest issue, costing them stars, was that I was told that I needed an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specific part. What arrived and was installed looked completely different from the removed part, and required the technician to significantly modify the part/furnace to make it "fit".
My suspicion is that we received a generic part, but at OEM pricing and time-frame. I would use them again, but I will be much more discerning as to what we accept and pay for.

I gave 1 star for scheduling an appointment quickly and arriving for that appointment on time. The water consumption at our property was "off the charts." Since they were not too far, I contacted Poust to inspect and repair whatever might be causing the problem. I was told there were no leaks anywhere and was charged $199.00! I was also informed that since the toilet was old & sluggish it should be replaced and the water heater needed replacement.
The estimate for this work was approximately $3,500.00! A couple days later I texted the serviceman with some questions concerning the estimates but never received a reply. Since the water consumption was still high, I contacted ANOTHER contractor who also arrived quickly, inspected and found the toilet to be leaking. His TOTAL service charge was ONLY $25.00.
There was no mention of needing it to be replaced. He also gave me an estimate on water heater replacement - ONLY $975.00! i understand Poust is in the business to make money but I feel in my experience with them, I was being taken advantage of.

I would give them a 0 if it were possible. Was in process of moving from Sparta NJ 07871. Exhaust/condensation pipe coming out of furnace venting carbon monoxide and condensation from furnace to outside was leaking water from PVC joint connections. I called Poust, told them the circumstances and told them I needed repair within the by the weekend.
They sent a technician Douglas, immediately. Showed the technician the problem. He agreed pvc needed replacing and proper gluing/bonding. I also repeated that I needed the work done before the weekend. He said that he had to order parts and would get back to me as soon as he got to the office to write up estimate and charged $ 125 for visit. He also acknowledged that the $ 125 would be credited to the cost of the work.
The technician wwThis occurred on 12/18/17. To this day I never heard from them nor have I received a return call despite telling the technician clearly that I wanted the work done immediately no matter what the estimate was. Since there was a danger due to the leakage not only of water but carbon monoxide I called another provider after waiting for pousts estimate for 4-5 days.
The other HVAC company came and fixed the problem immediately for $ 275.00. I was so angered by Poust I called after not receiving anything from them so after three weeks I called their office and spoke to a woman. I told her the story and said that I wanted a refund since there was no follow up by Poust and didn't need to pay $ 125 for Douglas to tell me what I already knew without follow up.
I was never informed of the "diagnostic" fee. She told me that she would have the owner call me because only he could make that decision. I never got a call back. To make matters worse, I received a form letter and brochure from Poust from their "customer service" person a few days before the closing, January 29th, almost a month after Poust sent the technician informing me (in a form letter) about the advantages of using their services, the % of the 125 credited if Used their service They need to1.correct their process so it is clearer to the customer when calling.(modification of their claims) 2.
Explanation why, given the communication I got from the technician and the obvious safety issue that should have been obvious to the technician, wasn't I contacted with estimate and follow up repair or letting me know that they were unable to schedule. 3. Why I did not get a call back after phone representative said I would from the owner. I am concerned about the business practices of this company.and their negligence could have caused grievous injury to my family due to the potential leakage of carbon monoxide.
I was not informed that there would be no follow through.essentially paying Poust $ 125 to waste my time and endanger my family. I am concerned that the proprietor did not return my call to rectify the situation only making the situation worse and to further fan the flames, a form and brochure follow up almost a month later about the benefits of my having Proust do repair work and how the diagnostic charge.(not told at the time that it was a diagnostic without immediate follow up) worked. This is either a series of errors or simply a scam to make money without doing any work. The technician was in my home for less than 20 minutes.

R Poust is excellent. Our old central A/C wasn't working and was empty of the old type of refrigerant. Jason checked our system, explained all the work they will do, suggested 3 options and the differences among these, and answered all my questions patiently. Customer service (Jessica, Debbie) are great, friendly and organized. On the day of the install, 5 technicians came and finished in just about 4 hours.
Everything went smoothly. Left the place clean. All the technicians were very professional and experts. In a big investment like this one, installation and maintenance come as a package. Highly recommend R Poust to friends and family.

R. Poust did I great job, they stood behind their work. I was having heating problems that seemed like they would never be solved. They brought in their guruand walla! I have to ay they usually do a good job but not this time. My furnace was blowing black smoke in our home, I had several contractors with different opinions on what was wrong with my furnace. The Tech was very professional and worked very hard to isolate the problem. I asked from the first visit if I should get a new furnace and was told by several people from the company it was not necessary, which at first was good news for me.
Unfortunately after several visits, 3 or 4 techs and my house filling up with black smoke and $800 in fees I was told i needed a new furnace. I was told I would be credited $500 for the services already preformed and that didn't work. when I tried to get my refund I was told that that they would only refund the money if they installed the new furnace and were $2300 to $3500 more than other contractors for a similar system.
I understand some people make mistakes and this is generally a good company but this time I feel I shouldn't have to pay for their mistakes and they should have refunded some if not all of the money. I will file a complaint and take them to arbitration. It's a shame the did not do the right thing.

Called for confirming a fan motor is going (didn't take a brain surgeon to figure that one out, but always chance I was wrong) and then have it replaced - Charged $125 for diagnostic call (high, but get that to avoid unnecessary call outs) and then wanted to charge an ADDITIONAL $160 for labor and nearly $400 for parts that does not cost most than $220 retail (yes, after seller markup) when they come back in two days to install. So, $685 ($125+$160+400) on $220 hardware Their argument for the high rates are in order to provide 24/7 service they have higher call out rates and was a clear take it or leave it attitude. So, I left it. Will never do business with them again and be sure to tell my friends all about my great experience.

Poust did a wonderful job for me! I moved into a new house a few weeks ago and the circuit board went bad in the furnace. I spoke to Toni in the office and explained I was nervous. As a single woman did not want to be taken advantage of. She assured me I would be taken care of. Mike came over and explained clearly what went wrong. He was patient with my questions and showed me everything that needed fixing. I would not hesitate in recommending this company (especially Mike)
