The most typical cooling and heating systems are split systems and commonly referred to as central air conditioning. They are comprised of an indoor unit for heating and an outdoor unit for cooling. A hybrid system combines an indoor furnace with an outdoor heat pump which also serves as a central air conditioner.
A Two-stage unit means it operates on either high or low. The low setting is adequate to meet most household comfort demands about 80% of the time, providing even temperatures. On hotter days, it can leverage the high level of operation to maintain comfort levels. Two stage systems are typically quieter and more efficient than a single stage unit.

We've been without heat for 4 days so far and they cancelled our appointment today to come fix our furnace. Our heat pump seemed to work fine at first, but as temperatures have consistently been below freezing, our furnace is not kicking in like it's supposed to. With a baby in the house it has been very difficult to have no heat and keep her away from the space heaters, the fire, and the oven which we have needed to keep the house warm.
A week without heat doesn't sound like "24/7 service" to me. We had a related issue recently and thought everything would be fixed, but apparently not. On top of it all, they will be charging us to fix their faulty install.

Fairly nice install team. The work done at first seemed ok. But a year and a half later, I have had multiple issues with a brand new heat pump. The first issue, I was able to discover myself (The whole reason I hired a company to install a heat pump is that I don't know enough to do it. I should not be able to troubleshoot and discover their problems after looking at the manual for a few minutes).
And of course the time you discover these problems are on the coldest days of the year when you don't have heat (or enough heat) and you're relying on your oven and a tiny space heater to keep your house livable. Also don't believe their 24/7 service claims. Even if you call during business hours, they don't pick up and answer the phone, let alone provide service.
The sales guy oversold, and knew less about the system than he tried to make you think. Not that this is uncommon for sales people at any company. Overall, they might be an ok company for a simple furnace install. But maybe heat pumps are just a little too complicated for them to really get right.

Nice technician, but was quoted $1200 to fix my furnace from their office. That seemed high, so I checked online, and I was able to order the genuine parts in 2 days, and it took about 15 or 20 minutes to replace the parts which cost me $280. $900 for them to come and do 20 minutes of work was pretty outrageous. I only needed a simple screw driver, and socket set, no fancy tools or training. They must think their techs are worth $2000 an hour or something.

The first thing you are provided with is a comparison of customer experience with other "vendors" and how GSHeating is so much better! Well not in my experience! The original installation was cancelled ONE day prior citing unavailability of spares.and then deafening silence until i reached out. A wait of 2 months before the the installation was scheduled again, and they get half the work done and have NO CLUE who is supposed to be completing the work. No calls as promised by their supervisors- nobody cares. I would give them 0 stars if i could!

Started wit Nate the sales gentleman. He was very friend and courteous and explain everything to us of what we needed to get the work done, and gave the options to choose. Carlos and Eddie were amazing. They came on time and started working on installing our central AC. They were very professional and we couldn't be more happier. After they were done, they clean everything up, and put it back the way it was.
The guys who came to clean our ductless were very efficient and professional. We will definitely be recommending this company to our friends and families. We will be using this company to maintain our AC and furnish from now on.

We just had G&S install a gas furnace, water heater, and central air in our home. To get our business, this company told us that they were only 3 weeks out for installation and all other companies were 4-6 weeks. The prices were similar, so we chose this company. After signing the paperwork and setting up the financing, we get a call about scheduling a few days later.
They tell us they're 6 weeks out and that the salesperson has been reprimanded. I highly doubt it. We were very frustrated, but with similar prices and wait times we didn't think it was worth switching to another company. Not to mention the paper work with the financing. So we just bear with it as it is the busiest time of the year for this industry.
The day before the installation we are called and told that they don't have the water heater we ordered. They do have one that is the exact same in all ways (even cost), but a different brand name. Same warranty. We're very frustrated once again because they had to have known about this for a lot longer than the day before our installation. If I could I would give them 0 stars, but their installation crew was great.
Very professional and timely. Answered all of our questions. This is why I'm fine with giving this review 1 star. I've called them and told them that I want to be compensated for the initial lie of their waiting period and complete lack of customer service with regards to our water heater. Have not heard back. tldr - Deceptive sales tactics and poor customer service. Great install crew. Go pay any other company to do what you need.

We appreciate the excellent service we always receive from G&S. They've helped us with electrical, plumbing, and heating repairs and we wouldn't consider hiring anyone else. This repair was no different. Ryan arrived on-time and worked efficiently, quickly diagnosing that the heat pump issue was a minor problem with the reversing valve. Years ago we had situations where other other contractors would point us towards major work and costs when the actual issue was minor. We value the honesty and expertise of every G&S field tech we've dealt with! Thank you, G&S!
