Our builder used Rhiner's plumbing and when it came time for warranty work they have not called back to schedule the service. They questioned if the issue truly happened during the warranty period which our builder agreed it did and provided me Rhiners contact information to get the issue resolved. Rhiner's has failed to respond for service.

We called to have a leaking toilet fixed. Our home has CPVC pipes and it's over 20 years old. The plumber from Rhiners let alone any plumber worth anything should have known these pipes can get brittle and we've been told by a couple other plumbers that they just don't break on their own with a little bit of pressure. Apparently the plumber from Rhiners cranked on it to tighten it and it broke.
We had water running everywhere. This was on a Wednesday.they didn't come back until Thursday into the following week so we were down a bathroom and shower during that time. My husband paid for the services on that Wednesday. About $130. Keep in mind that they broke the pipe. when they fixed it the next week they charged us $630 plus we have holes in our walls that need patching that again.had they not busted our pipe in the first place none of this extra cost would have been an issue.
My husband emailed them and pleaded our case that this wasn't our doing.they refused to budge on the cost of the 2nd visit and told him they didn't charge us for labor for the first visit. WHAT? If they hadn't broke the pipe on the first visit we would have never had a 2nd visit. This is totally ridiculous and no way to work with a customer! Needless to say.we don't have a nice review for Rhiners Plumbing in Clive!

Story time. I originally had a company come to service my HVAC and they wanted to replace everything. it was only 8 years old! They wanted to take advantage of me and charge $6,000. Then I called Rhiner pluming. Casey came a day later and serviced it. He shot straight with me and had excellent customer service. He knows what he's doing and he didn't make me feel like a sales quota. If you want an honest company go with Rhiner. A++ Job.

Highly recommend BILL Rhiner's Plumbing. NOT Wayne Rhiner plumbing. Had a water heater installed. Got a fair price quoted over the phone so no surprises. Plumber found a few minor things (replaced an old valve) and fixed them at no additional charge. They just wanted the job done right! Really appreciate them being efficient and on time. Ed was the lead plumber was was extremely professional and made sure I understood the mechanics of the new water heater. This is a well established business with a great reputation for great work and fair pricing. Highly recommend them

Worked with Ed. he is great and as a bonus very dog friendly. He called ahead, came early, offered great options to resolve my issue that saved me quite of bit of money. I have used Rhiner's a couple of times over the last few years, the experience has been wonderful. Will use them again when needed, especially if I can get Ed to come out.

Big Ed is more than an efficient & effective plumber who installed two toilets at our house late this morning (6/23/2021). He is congenial, compassionate and conscientious as well as on time, very experienced and determined to fix whatever it is that needs fixing in your house. Best of all he leaves your house as a new best friend. I would and will recommend him to family & friends. Hal Chase

I am a long time customer of Rhiner's. They installed my ac and furnace, replaced my water heater, and have done multiple plumbing repairs and upgrades over the years. Today, Ed installed my beautiful new single basin stainless steel sink. I appreciated his professionalism, honesty, and focus on customer service. He kept me updated throughout the process, answering all of my questions, and did an excellent job of cleaning up after the installation was finished. I will continue to use Rhiner's and highly recommend them.

I have used Rhiner's many times over the years. Greg has done an excellent job for water heater and AC problems. Someone else came for a plumbing problem and was not nearly as impressive. He eventually fixed the problem, which was a leaking toilet, but cut a hole in the drywall before he stumbled onto the problem. Rhiner's is probably not the cheapest HVAC service, but I do trust Greg.

The kichen faucet was leaking as soon as they guy left. I did not noticed it, when he was still in the house. Called them right away to fix it. He spent 30-40 min working on it, I was charged for 1 hour of work. I told them he still has 30-20 min to fix it. They said they do not give warranty, if parts are mine. I did not pay him to be in my house for 40 min. I PAID FOR HAVING THE JOB DONE.

I called this company to have them fix a leaking lavatory faucet. The plumber assigned to the job arrived two hours early, fixed the problem within 15 minutes, and was very professional. However, he presented us with an invoice that included a full hour's labor charge of $89.50 AND a travel charge of $59 (the office is only 15 minutes away and the plumber was coming from another job, not the office).
I don't find the labor charge excessive, and while paying for a full hour when the work took only a quarter hour is irritating, I understand the need for a minimum charge when it is impossible to guess the job's needs in advance and schedule accordingly. When I phoned the office to complain about the travel charge -- which I was NOT told about in advance -- the person on the phone in essence told me, "tough luck, that's our policy." I fully expected to pay the going labor rate for the work, but expecting me to pay for an undisclosed travel charge is outrageous, especially considering the plumber came from another job.
This reminds me of airline company pricing for extras -- we gouge the customer because we can. There are plenty of qualified plumbers in the area. Next time I'll call one of them and won't do business with this plumbing company again.

OK. I normally don't write reviews of anything, but this is practically criminal. We had a small leak under the sink, since I couldn't identify it, we called Bill Rhiner Plumbing. The are located 2.2 miles from my home. We were scheduled between 2-4, he showed up before noon and phoned us because no one answered the door. When he came at the correct time to do the work, he identified the problem and tightened a nut, all in 5 minutes.
The bill for this service? Drum roll please! $136.21 You got it, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY SIX DOLLARS and twenty one cents! This is for driving two miles and working for 5 minutes. If there is a minimum trip charge of $39 and $90 minimum labor charge, it might be wise to discuss this with a customer before scheduling a non-emergency trip. Obviously they will not be my trusted plumber in the future. Greth
