The service guy, Joe, was professional and fantastic. He found the problem with my heater right away. It was an inducer motor. He said it would cost approximately $1800 to replace. While he was writing up the service charge and ordering the part, I found the part on line for $361. I fully understand "making a profit", but an almost 500% mark up? Really? Serious? I called another company and they came and installed the motor for $600. I won't be calling Auburn ever again.

I contacted Auburn Heating when I had a problem with my furnace. They arrived the same day. I had previously had them do a furnace tune-up in 2019. I asked the technician to do a tune-up while he was here. The previous tune-up in 2019 cost $279. The tune-up on the furnace I got yesterday cost us $429. That is a 54% increase in the tune-up charge in 3 years!
I reviewed the log of what was done in 2019 versus what was done yesterday, and the company actually did less yesterday than they did 3 years ago. I realize that prices for services increase as time goes by, but a 54% increase in 3 years for less service is exorbitant. In addition to that, when the technician left he did not give me a copy of the bill, telling me it would be emailed to me.
I never got the bill that day, so I called the office the next day, only to find out that they did not have my email address on file. My recommendation? Find another company to service your furnace. If you do business with Auburn Heating, make sure you know what they are charging you before you agree to it. And make sure you get a copy of the bill before the technician leaves.

My landlord trusts this company so we had to use them. He had Auburn come out bc we we're having issues with the furnace blowing cold air. I had since cleaned the igniter switch and it was working fine but he had them come out just to to see if everything was working ok. When the repair man came out he said he the one who installed the original furnace and had notice I had disconnected the drain line for the AC (this happened at the end of last summer and it was only for a few days ) and put it back again using a different piece of pvc pipe.
He then proceeded to tell my landlord that the damage caused by me disconnecting and reconnecting the drain line was irreversible and now the whole thing had to be replaced. My landlord arranged for Aurburn to come back in a couple days to do the furnace install, I was upset over this so I actually contacted 2 other hvac certified guys to come out and give estimates. Auburn told my landlord he had to replace his 3 year old furnace for $4000.00, both the repair men I called gave me quotes under $400.
Both of them had nearly identical explanations as to why Auburns claim that the furnace had to be replaced was bogus. Plus there's more, when the repair man from auburn initially asked me how long the AC drain had been leaking I told them it was for a few weeks in the fall/end of September Then on the day they were scheduled to do the repair they didn't know I was home, my Landlord had mistakenly told them I wasn't going to there and before anyone realized I was home I ended up actually overhearing a conversation they were having in the basement from the kitchen and what I heard was them telling my landlord that I had lied and it had been leaking for a lot longer and basically how it was my fault this was all happening. They used me as a scapegoat while they took advantage my landlord and now my landlord thinks that I broke a nearly brand-new furnace and may be increasing my rent.

We called them out because our boiler wasn't turning on in our girls rooms but was working in the rest of the house. Our children are 6 and 3 and it's 20 degrees out so we just wanted it fixed. When your technician arrived he went downstairs to look at the boiler and came back up 5 min later to tell us that the valve was broken. He also said besides that one being broken their was another valve that goes to the den that was about to break.
He said it was all corroded. He told us he couldn't get the parts until the end of next week and it would cost us 2000.00$. We said we didn't care about the money but needed the part sooner so the kids wouldn't freeze. He said it wasn't possible to get it sooner so we need to wait and know one else could get it either. My husband said we were going to reach out to another company so we didn't have to wait that long because the girls were going to freeze.
He said he couldn't help so we paid 125$ for nothing. We then called Stankus heating and cooling and they sent a technician out right away. He went down and looked at the boiler and told us that the valves were absolutely fine, but their was just air in the line cause the water not to move through. He said it was a simple fix and he would have the heat back on in minutes.
I was in utter shock and told him what your technician told me. How it was going to cost us 2000.00$ 1000.00$ for each valve and how we had to wait so long for the parts. He laughed and said that those valves are only 500.00$ each and he said he had a stockpile of them at the shop and one in the truck. He said that your tech could have tried flushing the line first which would have taken him 10 minutes. Stankus's tech then flushed the line get rid of the air and boom the heat was back on!
It cost me150.00$ to get the heat back on! If we would have trusted your company we would have been without heat for days and 2000$ in the hole for nothing! Your thieves and I hope know one else has to go through what we did. It was a good thing my husband was home and read right though him and thought to get a second opinion because I was ready to wait for the part and pay. DO NOT bother with this company you will get ripped off!

We were having our pipes overflow into the basement so we called Auburn plumbing. The plumber came in, looked at the pipe and said he'd have to cut into the walls to see what the problem was. I asked about removing the clean out cap and he stated you don't want to do that. I thanked him and he left. I thought he was being helpful and honest until three days later we had the same issue, called a different company and the issue was resolved in a few hours by removing the clean out cap and putting a camera in the drain to find a clog. No cutting into the walls was even necessary. Unfortunately I will not be recommending Auburn heating and plumbing.

We have use this company for some years now. My only problem is, what happened to the wearing of the booties or at the very least wiping feet. I do not wear shoes in my house and would prefer them to wear the booties. Had a Hot water heater installed not long ago and had to ask them. One was very cooperative and one was not. Needed repair of hot water tank. I was told the part would be in within a week. I had to call three weeks later and the part hadn't been ordered yet. The plumber came out three days later, didn't give me a quote, told me that he was incorrect on his first assessment and had to replace a bigger unit and the price was staggering. The plumber told me that yes, they were very expensive.
I had to ask three times for a receipt and had to call the office to get one. When I asked the office why the plumber didn't leave the replace part with me and was told that they had to send the part back for the warranty although they kept the warranty money. They double dipped and I paid. So now I can't use the warranty on my own hot water tank to boot!

Had them out for a leak under my sink. They came out, spent less than 5 minutes on the leak, wouldn't accept my coupon because of fine print and one month later the leak was back again. When I called them and advised them that the leak was back and they did not repair it properly, I was told that apparently it was fixed because it worked for a month.
Not wanting to argue I asked them to just come out and repair the leak and they told me that they were booked up and couldn't make it out for quite some time (about a week). I told them to forget it. Horrible workmanship, attitude and backing of their work.

They were hired to re-locate a thermostat and replace it with a new wifi enabled one that I purchased myself. Installer decided after cutting the hole in the wall that he did not know how to install the thermostat, nor did the subsequent installer they sent out. During this entire process they broke the existing thermostat I had and it took over a week to get the thermostat brand THEY typically use to work once they installed it.
I was charged the full quoted price plus an additional $200 for a job that was only 50% completed. The $200 was removed only after advising I would not pay it. Beware they also charge $99 for a furnace "Tune Up" which entails nothing more then the tech shining a light into the furnace for 30 seconds and saying it all looks good. Very poor customer service and I highly recommend staying away from this company. Big mistake.

My furnace broke down in the evening on Christmas Day. They called me back within 20 minutes. They scheduled to come the next morning (Sunday) and installed an entire new system on Tuesday. Unbelievable customer service; they even offered to provide space heaters until the new system was installed. Services: Install heating system, Install AC

I found Auburn Heating to be very efficient, thorough and professional. They explained the issues with my old furnace in detail and in layman's terms. Also presented options available. Quoted pricing was competitive. Once I made the decision for a new furnace they did everything on the exact schedule that was quoted. Installers were courteous, neat and excellent clean up.

We had our hot water tank replaced and our furnace received routine maintenance. They were professional, thorough and provided our house with quality work. The only reason we are giving it 4 out of 5 stars though because the final price was just under $900 more than what they told us it would be when we booked to have everything done. Very happy with our first experience with Auburn Heating. Joe Huckoby showed up right on time (called before too) and was very professional and thorough. He helped me understand the condition and the functioning of the system and gave us great advice on when we need to replace things in the future. We will be calling them again! Great experience. Frank - head of company - is a good guy and knows his business. I had gotten a lower price from another company, and Frank was honest and said he couldn't meet it -- or even understand how they offered it. So I looked into it. The other company was going to install -- without even providing options -- a low-end, wholesale type HVAC system that had a low rating and shorter life.
Even though we'd told them we wanted this to be our last furnace/AC! But Frank was installing highly rated Trane product, so naturally his cost was greater -- and worth it! His guys came in, took out our old system, moved A/C, installed new system - my husband (who can be a stickler) was really impressed with the way they went about the entire process.
And the new system is effortlessly keeping house cool as we'd like this summer! Everyone was polite and neat. Areas looked neat when they left. Auburn also has a nice service plan, but when I wrote to my contact about putting it in place, she was like, "no need, yet - we do the first service free of charge." So, overall I'd have to rate them highly - very happy with the experience!
And this is my second furnace and second A/C replacement - all with different Cleveland area companies -- and I have not written this kind of review for any of the others. Oh, and I recommended a friend who was having A/C problems at her house others had been unable to solve - Auburn came in an fixed it! Definite two thumbs up!

Found Auburn on Google and called based on good reviews. Joe came out to our new condo. Performance was excellent. Was not hurried and exuded confidence yet courteous. I have signed up for annual maintenance contract which is most comprehensive and affordable. Highly recommend Kelli in the office and Joe in the field. Unbeatable team!

Auburn Heating Plumbing & etc called to schedule pre-season maintenance and check-up for our boiler and hot water baseboard system. At the end of the appointment, technicians explained that my system was unsafe and that they had disconnected it. They told me the issues and said they would send a quote. All of this was very odd to me considering that they had completed repairs on the system last year and none of what they mentioned had been an issue then.
Somehow there had been a catastrophic failure during the summer when the system was not in use. Because they had turned our heat off at the boiler, we could not use the system and we waited days for a quote without the ability to use our heat. When the quote did come it was ASTRONOMICAL. Being skeptical, I called another company for a second opinion.
They performed tests, transparently, in front of me and explained that there was nothing wrong with the boiler or the system and that I could run it safely. I will not be using Auburn Heating Plumbing and whatnot ever again and I'd advise my neighbors to avoid them too.

Called about a hot water tank leak. They were quick to charge us $125 to tell us that it was toast but still under warranty. The new tank was available that same day by Bradford White but it was not a priority for Auburn Heating and Plumbing, so they paid to have it delivered causing a 48 hour delay while we had no hot water. I found a local company that was able to come that same day (with a tank) because they understood our emergency. I would not recommend this company for any emergency services!

We signed up for Dominion's service program. The furnace wasn't working, so dominion sent Auburn Heating- they are BAD! Buyer beware! My first clue was that the guy they sent was on his cell - someone was walking him through what to do. He was clueless. Then they said to wait a few days bc the parts store is closed for the holiday. Said we needed a fan center and a fan-high limit.
Then they called and said it's still not open, wait until Monday (furnace broke the Wednesday prior) -at which point they called and said that the two parts we needed are obsolete and we should just get a new furnace. Seemed fishy so I called a different heating company, they came out and fixed it on the spot. And it was only one part, not two that needed fixed. It was the gas control valve. They are crooks!

I didn't have a choice in using this company, my insurance through Dominion contracted them. The technician either falsely diagnosed an issue with my furnace, or was outright purposely trying to scam me. I was told there was an issue with the electrical wires in my furnace, that it wasn't covered under insurance (which was a lie), and that I could pay them out of pocket to fix it.
Glad I smelled their B.S. from a mile away, I decided to have an electrician not affiliated with the company look at it, and lo and behold there was absolutely nothing wrong with the electrical. The electrician, who is not an HVAC tech, was actually able to fix my furnace on the spot too! Their employee was not able to. The owner is extremely rude and spoke to me in a very condescending manner instead of trying to resolve the issue. Very shady business looking to take advantage of people.

Received a notice from Auburn Heating and Air Conditioning that it was time for them to inspect our unit for the upcoming spring. We mistakenly believed that they are the company that installed the complete new system 2 years ago which was under warranty. Tech stated that there was a gasket that was bad causing a coolant leak. They quoted us $400 to repair. Fortunately we had Fred's service who installed the unit check it out without informing of Auburn Heating diagnosis. The only problem was a dirty filter. Buyer Beware
