Indoor air quality (IAQ, also called "indoor environmental quality") describes how inside air can affect a person's health, comfort, and ability to work. It can include temperature, humidity, lack of outside air (poor ventilation), mold from water damage, or exposure to other chemicals. Poor indoor air quality can lead to a variety of symptoms.

With any bad reviews, there are good. Happy I didn't read previous reviews before having Jay come to our house and fix a rushing water leak! Stayed well into the night to ensure everything was done right and then walked my entire property and checked all HVAC systems. Thank you Jay for your thoughtfulness and thoroughness. Honesty and hard work are great values, and you have both.

Biggs installed a new heating and air conditioning system for us to help us sell our home. They provided good service and quality equipment and installations. They were responsive later when we had issues with noise coming from adjoining ductwork, so we are happy. Services: Installation, Install AC, Heating system installation

Buyer beware. Our initial installation took nearly double the time they told us. The next day the air did not work. They had to return twice to fix the problem. Shortly after it was installed, an inspector came for an unrelated home remodel. He discovered a gas leak in our system! Biggs has maintained our system 2x year for over 6 years. Two weeks ago the air was not working.
It cost us $397 to diagnose that the condenser was broken. The Lennox HVAC warranty covered the part. It took them nearly 3 hours over their estimated 4-4.5 hrs. It took 2 persons and we were charged $1051 with the warranty covering the condenser. And, I have never had unit break before 20-25 years in 48 years of owning homes. I also will never buy a Lennox again. Can't help but wonder if the faulty installation caused their problem. Needless to say, we will never use them again.

Horrible service. This company charged us $150.00 to come after hours to repair a AC unit under warranty. Less Than 2 weeks later the same issue occurred. They sold us on a service plan of $250 a year. The technician stated the installation was not correct and the corrected the issue. We asked for a refund due to installation issue. They refused. WOW. We called and called and they kept ignoring our request. FIND A COMPANY WHO TRUELY KNOWS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PUTS THE CUSTOMER FIRST. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING AS WELL.

I contacted Biggs Heating and Air to diagnose an issue with my HVAC system on 11/20/2017. The technician diagnosed what he thought was the problem. I corrected the issue myself and found the corrective action did not fix my heat. I called Biggs back a few days later told them I still had issues with my Heat system and wanted them to come back out to rediagnose the problem and asked that I not pay the "trip charge" again since the issue wasn't fixed the first time.
They sent the tech out again on 11/28/2017. Upon arrival the tech found the heat strips on my air handler were not and had never been connected on my downstairs unit (which was installed by a different company). The tech connected the heat elements which corrected our issue. The tech brought me a bill upon completion of his services which reflected another trip charge and the cost of connecting the heat elements that were never connected.
The total bill was $147.19. I asked the tech and the "office staff" Amy to adjust my bill and take off the trip charge but I was very willing to pay the fee to connect the heat elements on the unit. Amy from the office said she would contact the Tech on site and he would let me know. About 15 mins later the tech approached me with the request that we "pay half of the trip charge." I again asked that I only pay the charge of connecting the heat elements since this issue should have been corrected during the first visit.
The tech quickly and politely agreed. He adjusted the bill and I signed the bill with the corrected amount of $52.18. The bill had a charge of $48.88 to connect the elements and $3.30 to pay NC tax. I paid the full amount of $53 in cash. The tech completed the bill/receipt and I signed it after he reflected my bill was paid in full. Biggs HVAC has since turned my account over to collections.
I contacted the company and informed them that I paid the amount agreed to on the date of service. The company has stated that they turned it over to collections because I refused to pay my bill. I have NEVER received a bill stating the total owed of $130.19 which is the amount they are attempting to collect. I have one bill/contract that I have signed for a total amount owed of $52.18 for which I have already paid in full.
I have documentation reflecting my bill/contract is paid in full but the company is refusing to clear my account. I have reached out to the BBB, and legal council. I hope the company will come to their senses soon since I have a contract that is signed, dated, and says paid in full. I was considering using Biggs to service my 2 HVAC units, and put them on contract to service my whole home generator this spring, I can assure you I will be using someone else. Remember, this is all over $130 they "claim" I owe but have ZERO documentation showing I owe that money. They would have gotten 10x that money from me if they wouldn't turned out to be liars.

I would not recommend using this company. I scheduled an appointment to fix my whole-house humidifier. Instead of fixing it, they turned off the inlet valve and replaced the filter (which already was new). They then came back and agreed a leak still existed and said they would order a part. I have called 7 times over the subsequent 2 months and they keep saying they will call me when the part arrives.
