Never had to replace two relief valves, two expansion tanks and a vent for a furnace and water heater in within 4 years of installation before. Tried to contact Burner King about and it and they said that was the normal lifespan for those parts. Not sure what I was thinking at this point but I asked for a quote to fix the parts and was told they would provide the quote for a service charge. Added a star because I was happy with their installation years ago, it just turned out to not be so good in the long run.

Stay away from this company. The owner Brian shows up to sell you something and once you buy it, he doesn't respond back to calls for issues that arise during installation. Response from call center is "he's out on the field and will call you back". He never does and never intends to provide any customer service. Stay far far far away from this company.

They came same day to check out my oil burner. They determined we needed it replaced and they were able to come back the next day to install new one. However, after they left, i realized my dishwasher was not filling up with water. Since it was working fine, prior to them coming I had assumed they accidentally turned off the water by mistake. I called them and left approx 5 messages asking if they could come back and take a look at what was going on.
I NEVER got a return phone call! After we had just spent $9000 on a new boiler, they couldn't even return a phone call! I was without a dishwasher for a week until I finally had some else come by and they were able to turn the water back on! Not returning a phone call from a customer who just purchased a new oil burner form you is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! There is simply no excuse for this and I will never use them again! I will also let friends and family know about my experience with them!

Had a new oil burner installed and they did an awesome job my hot water has never been hotter and my heat is awesome. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NO STARS I WOULD. Paid 10K FOR A OIL TO GAS CONVERSION. LEFT WATER IN THE PIPES KNOWING WE WERENT GOING TO HAVE HEAT FOR MONTHS BECAUSE PSEG HAD TO RUN THE GAS LINE TO MY HOUSE. THE WATER IN THE PIPES FROZE AND BROKE THE PIPES NOW I GOT A HUGE LEAK ALL OVER MY LIVING ROOM ROOF WHICH IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE REPLACED. YOU GUYS ARE SUPPOSE TO BE EXPERTS AT THIS BUT CANT DO SOMETHING SO SIMPLE LIKE EMPTYING OUT THE PIPES. Called them to tell them I needed someone here urgent and all I get is "we have to wait for operations manager" WORSE COMPANY EVER. Don't waste your time or money

I've had a service contract with Burner King for over 15 years. They have done an excellent job of keeping my system running and did a fantastic job when my oil tank and furnace needed to be replaced. The employees are very professional and did great work and kept my basement clean. I would reccomend them to anyone needing HVAC work.

Last night around dinner time we noticed that water was pouring out of our hot water heater. We had never used them before but called Burner King and they responded within a half hour. We found out we needed an entire new system a new gas burner and a new water heater. To stop the leak that was causing the problem, they had to shut off the water in the system which would leave us with no heat or hot water.
We are new parents with an infant daughter and new home owners, so this entire situation was extremely stressful for us. We were told the install could be done within the next 48 hours, possibly having to go 2 days with no heat or hot water with an infant and cold nights approaching. The technician that responded listened to my concerns and promised me that he would have the system installed the next day.
The following morning my husband received a call first thing in the morning that the technicians would arrive in a half hour to install our new system! They did an amazing job, we're very clean and the new system is running better than it was before both our heat and hot water are operating better. Not only did they do an amazing job but we were extremely happy with their customer service from their quick response to help us to making sure we got our new system installed as soon as they could. We are so grateful for the amazing customer service they provided us

I just had a gas conversion and a generator installed. generator not working and no-one in the company, nor their electrian will call me back. how did you get in touch with brian, he seems to not want to call me----just wanted to update this post. there were communication issues after the install to be sure, but the installation was done very professionally, gas boiler, water tank and generator. other than the one communication problem, which did frustrate me, they did a very good job and i would recommend them

If I could give negative stars I would. Heard noise from the boiler saw by the boiler water. Called Burner King for an estimate for repair and was told that the boiler was stainless steel and corroded. Quoted $10,500 for a replacement cast iron boiler. Said that we needed to think about it for a few days. They kept calling & texting saying that we needed to replace asap before our basement flooded. Got a 2nd opinion and was told that our boiler was in fact cast iron. Repairs under $900. SMH. Why?

I cannot say enough good things about Burner King. Brian was the last of more than half a dozen quotes I received. Since I am a senior citizen, several of the vendors' reps thought they could overcharge for the same boiler model. Two vendors refused to pull their masks up over their noses and I had to ask them to leave. One vendor told me I would have to pay tax on the work even though it is a capital improvement Toni Ann (Burner King) arranged for the boiler to be put in on the promised date.
The installation crew was neat, polite and efficient and wore masks the entire time, even when working outside. The week after the boiler was installed, I had my oil tank replaced by Burner King. It was only this summer that my neighbors were surprised I had not had the tank replaced. It was the original tank from when the house was built in 1965.
It had been enclosed behind a wall and built-in closet, which Burner King had to knock down in order to get out the old tank. When the tank was removed, I could not believe how rusted the bottom of the tank was. Had I waited any longer, I would have at one point had 275 gallons of oil on the basement floor. If I had to do this project again, I would use Burner King and I would recommend them to anyone who has a similar project on their agenda. I am in Kings Park, NY.

I just had a new heating system (oil fired boiler and indirect water heater) installed by Long Island's Burner King. From the estimate( which was more than fair)to the installation was smooth and hassle free. The mechanics on the the job were neat and professional. I'm a tradesman and I know quality work when I see it, and I am very happy with the end product. I would highly recommend Long Island's Burner King and I will be using them for my service from now on.

Burner King came highly recommended to me from our neighbor and although we didn't use them for our gas conversion, I WISH we had! They were more affordable and I know they would have gone out of their way to get the job done right and ON TIME! Burner King is well known for their conversions for a reason, and I regret not signing with them. We ended up hiring a plumber that we had used in the past, which has taken longer and has been more stressful than it would have been with Burner King.
When I was ready to pull out of my other contract, I contacted Burner King and spoke with Toni-ann, who did everything in her power to reassure me and walk me through the process. I am forever grateful to her for taking the time out of her busy day. Burner King has earned a life-long customer with me going forward.

Do not do business with these people. We sent a picture of the issue we were having with our water heater, and were told by one of the workers that they were ordering a part. They sent another person to check out to the heater who judged that we needed a new one without getting remotely close to the heater. Toni- their office manager- could not be more condescending. You couldn't pay me to use these people they run a complete clown show.

My call goes to answer service again. That is the way you treat your customers? When will you send Eddie to fix the leak? Your company sent someone on 5/22 he didn't fix the leak.

Since you mentioned on your email Feb 11, 2020 (see attached email below). { this Boiler had a mechanical breakdown beyond our control.} I am requesting you to change the boiler since it is still under the warranty.
I originally requested you to extend the warranty for 1 year. The unit has problems since it was installed. Your company has been there at least 20 times to deal with difference issues. I kept most of the repair tickets. I have been there at least 100s times to check the problems when my tenant call us. Then we call you to open the door waiting for your workers to repair. As you can see the warranty will be expire soon. What can I be expecting for when warranty is expired?

Perhaps Burner King doesn't understand what 24/7 service means. On my brand new heating system, installed just months earlier. I called with no heat and was told someone would call me back. An hour later I called for an update and was told within an hour a technician would call me back. An hour later I called and was told I would get a call back when the office opens.
Why do I need to wait for the office to open is there's 24/7 emergency service? This was an emergency! I also had a 3-year old who was home sick and my house was down to the 50s already, so you would think they'd rush service, but apparently, that's not the case. It took about 7 hours to finally see someone at my house. When my contract was up, I left. I will not return.

I used Burner King in our first home for a gas conversion. The price and service were unbeatable. So, when we moved and needed a new gas boiler in our second home we knew who to call. Brian at Burner King was prompt and helpful. The turnaround time was quick. The installation process went great. They sent an entire crew of about 8-10 guys to do the job all day. They were clean, hardworking and very courteous! I would highly recommend Burner King!

I built my house over 20 years ago, it seems everything is breaking at the same time. One of the major components to go was my central air unit. Over time, we noticed the house took longer and longer to cool. My original unit came with freon that is no longer sold and could no longer be re-charged. I ate MREs so I could survive anything. Except being in a house hearing day after day it's time to replace the A/C unit. During the spring, we did our due diligence and researched A/C professionals. My sister in law said you should try Long Island's Burner King, These guys did a great job by her so give them a call. I called and put them into my quote rotation.
The owner came to our home, assessed the old unit and said we'll be able to have you operational and completed within one day. After we had our quotes, we felt Long Island's Burner King was the best choice. The crew came to the house, removed the older unit and installed the new unit in one day. There was no mess and when my wife came home from work the house was like an igloo. Happy-cold wife is a happy life. After using the A/C for the entire summer, I can honestly say these guys rocked it. Thank you Long Island's Burner King for keeping us cool this summer!

Well three years later the unit is running just fine and has been serviced by a wonderful company. [ not yours] TWICE you tried to sell me a big job when a simple fix was all that was needed.

Worst customer service i have ever experienced. the female office employees are rude and nasty. i would never recommend this company to anyone. and the owner refused to speak with me personally. after company received my review the owner brian started continuously calling my home without leaving messages and then drove to my house and left this is my mailbox. i had to file a police report after he threaten my husband that he would not stop until i took this review down. beware and stay away from this total nut job.
Regarding your feedback Linda: if only you had treated me with any kind of professional decency then, this review would not have been made. You were given 8 months to apologize after I had expressed directly my disappointment of abusive treatment to your employee. Now that I took it to the public and I had to file a harassment report against your husband/owner because he tried to bully me into taking this down your now going try to apologize. First, we did not have a financial situation, you did not offer me any favors (we are not friends), Brian and I made a business deal.
I paid you $6000 upfront and only owed $500 more. Second, you did not call me after my initial service call in December when your office personal said they would look into the balance owed. I was told someone else used to be in charge of billing and they would look into it and get back to me when no bills or reminders had been sent out in over a year.
Instead of calling me to discuss what was found you mailed me a letter stating that you would take me to court if I did not pay you the $500 due plus over $600 interest ASAP. Thank you for finally admitting that this error was made on both ends. Because when I called to discuss this letter your employee Toni Anne did not want to work the issue out, was extremely rude to me and accused me of committing FRAUD.
After much negotiation I finally agreed to pay the $500 owed plus over $30O in interest, So I would not ruin my credit and to never work with your company again. You say you were fair. As a good standing business you would have noticed and agreed the money due was an oversight by both parties and you would have accepted my $500 that day, just days before Christmas.
And then written me an apology after I expressed how deeply I was upset by the treatment of your employees. Your company did not care about how upset you made me and the way I was treated. All you wanted was your money. And now your upset that I went public. All I had written was a short review about your customer service. And because you decided to go into detail now I was able to express the full story. Thank you for helping me reveal in more detail how crummy your company is. Please leave me alone. I had a positive experience with Burner King, consistent with my neighbor who used BK for their gas conversion. Toni Ann, our project manager, took over after Brian provided the quote/proposal. The timeframes provided for permits and installation was right on target. The job was done by Team Lead Chris, all involved were professional, clean and finished right on schedule.
I recommend anyone thinking to do a gas conversion to get 3 estimates, but remember that effective project Management isn't something quoted so be certain to get referrals about customer experience during and after the installation. Good Luck!

The 24/7 service this company offers is a joke. They used to be good but have gone downhill in recent years. Unable to perform even basic repairs. Surly phone manners just add insult to injury. We will not be renewing our service contract with them. They lied to us and were very nasty. Eventually a tech was sent to fix the problem after two phone operators told us they didn't have a tech available or a common part they needed, which meant no heat till morning when distributors opened. nothing got done until I became very angry at them and threatened to cancel. Then, all of a sudden, they (magically) found a tech with the part on board his truck! Sorry but I hate being lied to!

Another example of horrible service. I was told at 9am someone would be our to fix the pipes that they installed improperly. 7pm they show up when it's dark and they cannot do the work. Oh did I mention they did not call to update all day? I had to keep calling them and never got an answer. Added, the Owner just called me yelling stating they will not honor a warranty or finish the job.

This is the absolute worst company! I never review bc usually things work themselves out but I have never had such poor customer service! We converted to gas on dec 30th, 2017. The new unit began leaking water all over my basement within hours. called they refused to come they were "too busy" then on the day of the huge snow storm our heat turned off bc they didn't install the air intake prospering.
Again called them as water continued to leak out and the air intake needed to be fixed. Contributed to tell us they were too busy. Finally we went to the BBB and they came after they received that notice. They came and said the problem was fixed! I woke up the following day and my heat is out! I have been on the phone with them all day and they want me to wait till Monday to get my heat repaired! This is beyond unacceptable! Never use this company!

Stay Away! I Should have listened to the other Yelpers and other reviews I had read online. Reasons to stay away: 1. Did not receive proper permit to begin job. 4 hours into job, got shut down by village building inspector and had to have a stop work order sign on my front door for a week. 2. Promised one stop shopping. Said they could re-crown and point my chimney. (Attached are pictures of that joke) 3.
