First, and very important to us, DeLong Air came highly recommended to us from our neighbor. Jeff (the service technician) was prompt, friendly, courteous, professional, and straight forward. He answered our questions without pause. Unfortunately we have to replace one of the furnaces. Ted was here today and provided us with great options, fair pricing (and didn't try to pressure or "oversell" us), great financing options, and answered all of our questions. Again, we were met with the same high standards of customer service. prompt, friendly, courteous, professional and straight forward.
We would highly recommend DeLong Air! Follow up: We purchased the Annual Service Contract so Jeff was out to perform a seasonal check on everything. He also checked out an old thermostat that apparently isn't properly wired, as on FAN ONLY, it was kicking the AC on. Jeff provided us with an estimate to have it changed out. That service is yet to be scheduled. Once again, Jeff provided excellent service!

First problem was that the lady who answered the phone was rude. Wanted to charge $79 (diagnostic fee) for the first 15 minutes then $115/hr afterwards. Springfield heating and cooling came out for $69 to run a whole diagnostic and write up a quote. Very thorough and professional. Had our heating back on in less than an hour. Save yourself the trouble and call Springfield heating and cooling.

Contacted the after hours line and spoke with the on call tech. He guided me through the repair. Real simple just a plugged drain line. Then followed up the next day with a furnace service. I always learn something from Chris when he comes to my house! Some little tidbit that will make me a better homeowner. My problem turned out to be my filter! I buy what I consider good quality for my allergies. I mark the date on the filter when installed and the one he pulled out was plugged up and it only had been one month to the day! He showed me what to look for and my furnace had to pull harder to heat due to the filter.
We then talked about pros/cons of humidifiers. I'm on the Delong Maintenance plan and it's WELL WORTH IT. I have been with Delong's for YEARS and I can say the fellows they send out for my heat or air are very knowledgeable. The office staff is great and Joann, the manager is awesome. I will take this opportunity to say " Thank You" to Chris for sharing knowledge and all the other great guys who come to my house! And I'm NOT being payed for this review!

DeLong Air had serviced our furnace/AC unit for many years before we remodeled our home and installed a Geothermal unit. We are very happy with the results. We signed up for the Smart Homeowner Club and don't have to worry about remembering to schedule our maintenance. Chris is very professional and great with answering any questions we have. Very happy with DeLong Air and their service.

I had a great experience from making the appt with office staff to having the technician perform the maintenance. I received a reminder of when Chris would arrive on the appt date and he performed the maintenance politely and professionally. There was NO mess left behind and a written report was provided when he finished. I've used Delong Air for years and have depended on their annual maintenance to provide a long life for my heating and cooling systems.

My furnace was not cycling correctly. I called DeLong & they quickly set an appointment to diagnose problem. The tech they sent (Jeff) was prompt, professional & knowledgeable. He wrote the estimate & was back in 2 days to make the repair. They could have done the work the next day after the burners came in. My schedule & the warm weather may it 2 days.
I recommend DeLong to anyone in this area. It is not my first experience with this company. They have always been great & I will be a customer for life. Having problems with the site but finally got here to post a new review. I had another furnace crisis this week. Once again, DeLong was here for me. I worked with Jeff again as well as Don. They came out the same day that I called, found the problem & ordered the part.
As soon as it came in, the repair was made. My furnace is quite old & DeLong continues to offer me solutions rather than trying to sell me a new system. I feel I need to update my review for Delong Air. I was really happy with them until I discovered that once you sign up for the annual maintenance program you are no longer allowed to do any DIY repairs or maintenance on your system. I had a vibration in my furnace draft inducer. I called them to check it out and they sent a tech to diagnose the problem.
After I described the sound it was making he looked at the serial number tag and told me the inducer wheel was cracked and I needed a new inducer unit. I asked how much it would cost and he said it could be up to $1700! He also said that the office folks would have to order it and they would let me know how much it cost. I asked him to have them call me with an estimate before they ordered the part.
Two weeks passed and I didn't hear a word from anyone. In the mean time the problem was getting worse. So I decided to order the part from Amazon and replace it myself. Two days after I finished the repair I got a call from Delong to schedule the install of the new inducer. I told them that I had already fixed the problem and to cancel the work order.
They seemed to get upset but did not say anything at that time. A week later I got a bill for the service call that was supposed to be covered by my service contract. Longer story short I canceled the service contract and they closed the account. The moral of this story is if you want to be able to approve any repair to your system PRIOR to being obligated to pay for it you might want to look for a different vendor.
This is really too bad I liked their techs and the work they did but the folks in the office need to do their job as well as the techs are doing theirs. This INCLUDES keeping the customer informed on status and cost of projected repairs. Seriously two weeks and not a word on the status even after I requested one from the technician. To me that is unacceptable.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY! Charged almost $300 to change a part costing less than $15. The work consisted of.unplug the old and plug-in the new. I am willing to pay a fair price for a service call but not $300 for the service call and $15 part change. The technician suggested that the unit be serviced yearly. For the almost $300, why didn't he "service" it?
