Hannabery HVAC was originally established in 1972 as Hannabery Electric and incorporated in 1976 as Hannabery Electric, Inc. At that time we were an electrical contractor, specializing in residential wiring. In the early 1980's we began installing central air conditioning systems, and by the mid 1980's became quite involved in the "re-introduction" of the electric heat pump.
Today's technicians have the difficult task of having to keep up with all of the different types of heating and air conditioning systems, different Makes and Models, and the ever-changing technology; including computerized controls, sensors, and electronics, wireless, even Bluetooth devices. Well our technicians are ready and able.
Whether you are looking to replace an old heating or air conditioning system at an affordable price or for the latest in cutting-edge technology for your home or office, Hannabery HVAC has the resources to meet your needs. We offer a quick turn-around, effective and efficient design solutions, professional service, and all at competitive rates.

When our heat pump died, I called around for quotes. Some other HVAC companies gave me outrageous quotes. Then our realtor suggested Hannabery. The Hannabery sales guy was totally honest with me about what features I needed, and what features didn't make sense for our home. He didn't try to steer us towards the more expensive brands they offer, even when I asked, and was honest about various issues that he knew about with those brands.
We went with the Goodman heat pump. The installation was done professionally, and with minimal hassle. The cost was nearly half what my old HVAC contractor quoted me. The new system moves more air than the old one, and keeps the house at a more consistent temperature. Overall, we're happy. Hopefully this level of service will continue, and the Goodman system will hold up.

I had a new A/C & Gas Furnace installed. I received several proposals trying to compare apples with apples. I am glad I picked Hannabery. They included a media filter, others did not without an additional cost. The project manager discovered a judgment borderline venting issue that the proposal writer did not include in the proposal. After a phone call by the project manager, they went with rerouting a vent at no additional charge to my proposal.
They used good quality surge protectors for both units. Clean-up and old unit removal were good. The complete installation took a little under 2 complete days for my 3-ton A/C unit and gas furnace. They started promptly at 7 am both days. I had heat by the end of the first installation day in December. The complete installation with the A/C was finished by the end of the second day.

In our opinion Hannabery is truly the best, most trustworthy HVAC service in the Lehigh Valley. From the initial phone call to the friendly and helpful real live Receptionist, to the knowledgeable, professional amazingly helpful Service Dept, who in turn troubleshot our issue at length over the phone. Worked with us very patiently to find a date that worked for a service call, to the well trained professional technicians who came out to our home.
They not only cleaned our furnace but also inspected and cleaned our very old outdoor AC unit and advised on condition/length of life, and answered all of our questions. All fees were completely upfront from the get go - verbally and in writing, NO surprises, They do not try the infamous "upselling" as other companies in the industry try to pull on unwitting homeowners.
This company hits all 5 stars and we couldn't be more grateful to them! **One very important note, book your cleanings early! (6 months to a year in advance) for they are very busy. Do not wait until the last minute here!. Trustworthy. Professional. Knowledgeable. Friendly. Honest. Upfront pricing. Best in the business!

Last year our AC fan was running but no cold air was coming out. I called Hannabery because they originally installed the system when the home was built 4 years ago. They concluded there was no refrigerant due to a leak in the evaporator coil in the basement. We approved a replacement coil at over $1,000. The system did work for the remainder of the summer.
Again this year at startup, there was no cooling. The young man who came out to provide service spent more than two hours looking for a leak and talking to the office on the phone. I am not sure how experienced he was, which is understandable because of the pandemic. But after all this time, the office apparently told him to tell me I now needed an outdoor condenser coil at an estimate of $1,900.
This on a new system they installed within the past 5 years! We did not approve the estimate. Instead, after paying Hannabery another $300+ for their time, we brought in another contractor. He searched extensively, focusing on the condenser unit, and found no leaks. Instead, he charged it up and it has been working fine for 2 months. It's all a mystery but I have lost faith in Hannabery. UPDATE: Several weeks later, we were sitting outside when we noticed that gas was leaking out the service access valve every time the system started up.
No wonder two companies couldn't find the leak; they had their gauges hooked up to the very site of the leak, and of course it couldn't leak while they were checking it. We had the valve replaced and now it is fine.

The Service Person was very Courteous and Helpful. He answered all my questions and went beyond normal to satisfy my concerns with the amount of ventilation in one of the bedrooms. He checked the air flow and return air flow and showed me the results and was very professional. I would highly recommend him. We are very pleased with our service with Hannabery HVAC. From our initial call to schedule the appointment we received friendly and helpful customer service, we also received a call the day of our service to ask if our technician could come earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise! Our technician, Randy, was very professional and courteous of our home. He was full of great information, very professional, and helped answer all our questions! Thank you!

Please see the below review addressing the ignorant and arrogant response from Hannabery HVAC and the untruths that they actually were foolish enough to put in writing. I'm not sure why everything that I have written although it's very lengthy did not post but I will make sure that it does and I think I will do it publicly on Facebook

I had Hannabery HVAC install my Trane system, and I couldn't be happier! It hasn't been running that long, but the comfort level in the house is so much better! The installers were awesome, professional, and very courteous! I hope that everything continues like this, ,,, but I am extremely pleased at this point! Thumbs up to Hannabery!

We have used Hannabery HVAC for over 30 years. We are on the Silver Star Plan and they supply heating and air conditioning routine service twice a year. They also respond quickly if there is any issue at other times. Our technician, Shaun K., was very helpful in answering any and all questions we had. Shaun was very professional and hospitable. We replaced the original heating and air conditioner in 2008. And Hannabery HVAC keeps everything running smoothly 10 years later. I definitely recommend their services.

We have used Hannabery for our HVAC derive in our home for at least five years and we are very satisfied. We have a complex system with a gas furnace/AC unit and a supplemental heat pump. Everyone from the folks who answer the phone to the folks who come to do the work are courteous and professional. They come when they say that they will come, they professionally diagnose and repair problems in either of the systems, and they do not try to sell services that you don't need.
They have even walked me through a solution over the phone with no charge, avoiding a service call. We have previously worked with several of the big name companies in the Valley, but we have stuck with Hannabery.

Update: I am updating my review, instead of editing my review from yesterday, in order to show you the customer service that Hannabery offers. Let me back up for a moment and say that I have dealt with them since 2000, when we built our house, and they have never been anything but great. The issues we had were an anomaly, and me being pissy and hot, in a house that is in the high eighties, and having to listen to my husband complain.well, the situation was not optimal, especially since it was back to school Monday.
That being said, Hannabery really did do everything possible to get me back up and running as quickly as they could. Candy called me and told me they had a technician available to come out yesterday afternoon, but I wasn't available due to an appointment. They came first thing today, and stayed pretty much all day, only leaving for a little while.
As it turns out, there was a problem with the whatchamacallits, and they fixed it. I am now cool, and am no longer homicidal. I won't get into the specifics and bore anyone, but Mike, the service manager, Ian, the technician, and the supervisor guy who owns a doodle dog too, they all were fantastic and made sure that the a/c was operating correctly now. Dealing with the public is not easy.
Especially when we are hot and sweaty, can't cook or clean our house for days because it's too damn hot, we smell like a wet dog, and our hair may be growing mold because we have been perspiring so much. They pulled it out fantastically. I applaud them, and apologize for being cranky.

The gentleman who came out was polite, professional and gave me a qualified estimate that was $200 less than a few other estimates I received, so I decided to go with Hannebery. Unfortunately, after two calls, a text and an email to the guy, with a basic question about financing which I would have worked around in any case, I never heard back from anyone!
I don't want to use the salesman's name because I notice the owner is vigilant about his company's image in social media (which is admirable), but I had no emergency and would have waited for the installation since my Trane unit worked fine, but was 27 years old, and yet still no call back from Hannebery. I guess they don't need new residential customers.

Horrible! Our unit failed after 1, yes 1 year. Would not come to repair on a weekend because we did not buy extended service plan. Poor quality of materials (one of the switches on the unit appeared to be used). We live in a new development in new construction. An AC unit should not fail this soon! The next day called and was told the answering service was not allowed to even CONTACT a service person because it was not an emergency. Did I mention that due to the unit being installed incorrectly, condensation destroyed the motherboard causing it to burn? Our house burning down is not an emergency? BEWARE!
