We noticed our A/C was not working properly around 4:45pm on a Saturday on one of the hottest days of the year so far, called O'Brien after hours at 5:41pm after trying to trouble shoot. Kevin called me back at 5:50pm, nine minutes later, and was at the house fixing the unit before 6:30pm. From initial after hours message to unit repair was under an hour. Kevin was very informative and professional, and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I cannot recommend O'Brien Service Company enough for HVAC and AC repairs after my 5 star experience with them.

I can't say enough about how great this company was to work with. All the office staff and the workers that completed the various jobs, were very friendly, professional, and really cared about doing their job and getting it done right. On one occasion, a worker who was completing his assigned job, discovered a problem that a former heating and air company had not done.

It concerned him so much that he said he could not leave until the problem was fixed. He stayed longer than he was supposed to in order to fix the issue. Not many employees would have paid that much attention to something that was not assigned to be part of their job, but he did. Thank you, Larry! I think any one of the many guys I came into contact with would have done the same thing. O'Brien is a great company with great employees.

O'Brien was able to address my issues promptly when my previous system failed. I was given options and each was fairly explained and prices were quoted. I felt no pressure to choose one over the other. Work was completed in a timely manner. My home was pristine when they left. System is working superbly and new thermostat gives us easy to use options. All technicians were vaccinated. Thank you!

At the end of the install, they walked us through the new thermostat and made sure we were comfortable with no further questions. O'Brien Service Company has always done a great job. They installed an entire new heating and cooling system in my residence 10 years ago and have been maintaining it since. They are prompt, professional and friendly.which is not always the case when dealing with HVAC companies. O'Brien always offers professional on time service. I have a maintenance contract and they come and check out my system once a year. They flush the back up on the system so it doesn't clog. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable heating & air conditioning service

Chris arrived on time and was pleasant and professional. He answered any questions I had with knowledge and experience. I previously enrolled in the Energy Savings Club when I bought my older home and love the convenience of automatic small monthly payments instead of one larger amount at service time. I could choose which season to have my HVAC inspection/Tune Up performed and receive a reminder to make the appointment so I never forget.

I feel so much more confident now that my system is getting a yearly inspection and if I ever did need any repairs I can get them at a discount. Another plus is that this service is transferable! So grateful that O'Brien Service Company is maintaining one of the most important pieces of equipment that my home has.

Technician arrived promptly and complete work in orderly and efficient manner. Found minor issues and took care of those on the spot. I most definitely Used O'Brien Service Company again come springtime to conduct maintenance check on the AC side of the unit. I have always had great experiences with O'Briens. They have always been very responsive when called, and the technicians have always been helpful and knowledgeable. They have both serviced an old HVAC, and replaced a compressor in another house we had. I would recommend them and use them going forward for any HVAC needs.

Recently our almost 5 year old Trane HVAC system stopped cooling like it normally does. Customer service had a technician quickly out to the house that day to check the system, we had a refrigerant leak that required an immediate refrigerant top-off (to keep us cool), then a follow-up appointment to find the leak and ultimately, replace the evaporator coil.

All of this was done as fast as they could do it, luckily for us, Kevin was assigned the job, and we couldn't be happier with his level of effort. This is not easy to work in someone's extremely hot attic or baking out in the sun with the outdoor portion of the unit, looked like Kevin handled a two person job with ease and professionalism. Communications with O'Brien's customer service, the tech lead and Kevin at the house was perfect, there was communication every step of the way.

When I bought the unit, I second guessed myself on paying for the O'Brien "Experience" plan, I'm glad I did, this is the second repair with no additional out of pocket costs, the plan has more than paid for itself. If you can ask for a specific master technician, ask for Kevin.

I'm so impressed with this company. They showed up early (called first to ask if it was ok), installed my new smart thermostat in under 20, then did a quick check of my system and changed my air filters for me. Great service! The tech wore booties and a mask.

Just love their customer service! They are prompt and efficient. Even in COVID times. I have had both annual service and replaced some duct work in the last month. The service people are knowledgeable and careful.

Shady! DO NOT GO HERE! They took my elderly parents who are on a fixed income for $1000 in repairs then turned around saying it needed replacing at $9800 plus additional cost for removal of old unit We had 4 other companies tell us the cost could never exceed $6000 We wound up paying less than $5800 for all the work SHAME SHAME on these shysters! No, it is the exact same unit!

The worst service ever. Had a technician out on Friday and my service stopped on Saturday. The 24-hour on call service would 'not be able to come' to our house because 'they were too busy'. Don't claim you have this service then. When I spoke to the owner on Monday he argued with me and was defensive. Tried to tell me the 'problem was the heat outside'. NO KIDDING! And normally my AC helps with that. Please just give me what I paid for on Friday when it was never fixed.

We chose O'Brien to replace our two home AC units based largely on outstanding reviews on Yelp. These reviews are clearly well deserved. Because of house guests and an upcoming federal holiday, O'Brien arranged to have two crews work simultaneously to get both installations done in a single day. The crews were punctual, competent, friendly, informative, and neat. We highly recommend this company.

I feel very satisfied with O'Brien Service Company's level of service and professionalism. My crawlspace was flooded during hurricane Florence, all my ductwork was wet and some pieces full of water. They responded fairly quickly and were able to give me a reasonable quote to replace all the ductwork in a very tight environment, unlike some other heating and air service people in the area who were obviously trying to gouge me.

I had to wait quite a few weeks to get the work done, but that is understandable in this situation. Meanwhile they provided me with a new dehumidifier to start drying out the area. Once the team arrived on schedule to do the work, although it was a cold and wet day, they persevered and worked extremely hard to demolish my old system ductwork and put in all new ductwork despite the cramped quarters.

They were very courteous and diligent, and completed the work in four days, which was amazing. After installation, they provided me with all the paperwork and warranties and explained operations and maintenance. I don't think I could've gotten better service with any other company.

This company has the BEST customer service. I called this morning before they opened, left a message and got a call back in MINUTES! They got a tech out to my house in a couple of hours and this fella is out there working on my A/C in the pouring rain. My house is already cooling down! I Whole-heartedly recommend them! I have to purchase a new system soon and will be working with them.

Our downstairs (Main) HVAC went out in the 99degree temps. Ouch! The unit was original to the house and about 17 years old. We interviewed and priced a few of the local HVAC companies and decided upon O'Brien. Took about a week to get scheduled, but Richard and Will braved the heat and installed a new 3 ton, 18 SEER Trane in about 4 hours. Cost about $8800. Expensive - yes. Worth it - yes.

As a customer service manager myself, I can say that all the staff that my wife and I came into contact with at O'Brien's was above and beyond our expectations. We called around to get quotes from other Heating & Air companies in the area, but no luck on even getting a call back. When we did decide to call and set-up an appointment for a sales call it was on Memorial Day weekend, I didn't expect a call back but with-in an hour or two Mike R called me back.

This blew my mind since it was a holiday weekend. After the long weekend Mike R came out on Tuesday for us to select a unit and pick a install date. Some how the cards fell in our favor and O'Brien's was able to come out that Friday. Michael arrived with his install team sharply at 8:30 to start replacing our old unit. Michael and his team did an awesome job on the install and I know they had several obstacles to over come with this being an old house with old wiring and a crawl space that is indoors. I know in the future I will need heating & air work done and will definitely be calling O'Brien's.

Great response time. Professional employees from initial call to end of service. We had no working AC in a recently purchased older house. For an unscrupulous company, this would've been an opportunity to oversell service or a new HVAC system, but not O'Brien's. Chris Harris, our service tech, quickly identified the problem and addressed it for a small service call fee. Very impressive. Liked them so much we asked to signed up for a yearly service contract.

I do not know how we happened to find this company but the stars alined and we found them. We live at the beach part time and the sea air kills the AC units. So as of now we can expect to arrive at the beach to find something a miss with the AC system. This companies customer service is always polite, caring to our issue and work diligently to schedule a technician for our AC fix.

I wish our fixes were not in the oppressive heat of our attic. The technicians are hard workers, knowledgeable and work under harsh conditions. We always have issues resolved with new parts if needed in a relatively short time and the balance of our summer is comfortable thanks to them. Glad we got the package, its paid for itself many times over. Thank you for your consistency!

Chris was very professional. He explained everything thoroughly and even took the time to show me exactly what he was talking about and why the repairs needed to be made. He provided me with options and even gave me suggestions on the maintenance that should be done in order to get as much life out of my system as possible. I cannot say enough positive things about the exemplary service I received from O'Brien. From first contact to completion of service, I got the very best. I was very pleasantly surprised that I was able to get same-day service. My technician, Matt, was courteous, professional, and kind. He explained the issues with my system and showed me the malfunctioned part he replaced. I have never had such a positive experience with any previous heating and air company. O'Brien now has me as a customer for life!

You can't get much better than a company like O'Brians. They fixed a 7 year problem I had been having with another company and their professionalism and knowledge far passed any other company I have worked with. They stand behind their work and are polite and helpful if you do have any concerns. I only wished I had used them from the beginning!

Fabulous company! We had our fan quit on us. No AC. They said it was a special order part so we can specter a week. They booked us a call each day in the hopes of it arriving early. This is above and beyond any company we've seen as this is taking time for other customers potentially to be available to service us their current customer! The technician did a temp fix of our unit to get us running.

And we have decided to have O'Brians replace the unit because the value they have is worth every penny. We are real and do take the time to give credit where it's due. Well done this company is.

We have read they were good, but they did and did not do a number of things which are inexcusable in my opinion. 1. They claimed they had taken care of the refund from the electric company of $300. They had not done so and we could not receive the money. 2. They claimed they had sent me all material in a package pertaining to our purchase. They did not do so and the person I spoke to trying to get the info was totally unhelpful, discourteous and impolite.

She was terrible. I never received the information which was supposed to include warranty info. Without the information I could not get the refund from the electric company. 3. They claimed they had installed a normal size air filter in the unit so I would not have to purchase one from them when needing replacement. It is a custom air filter and the one the left behind as a replacement does not fit. 4. They left major air leaks in the air handler in my garage. I had to call them to come out and they did not fix it. I had to tape up the leaks myself with tape.
