We have used Frederick Air a few times for various issues with our AC system. They are always on time and very pleasant to work with. We purchased a new system and the gentleman that came out to do our estimate was honest and not pushy. They also showed a lot of concern with our well being due to having a small child and no AC and made sure we had prompt service. Would definitely recommend

I recently had my 28 year old system replaced and have been very satisfied with Frederick Air. From the estimate process, to having the new system installed (and relocating my heat pump) and taking care of preventive maintenance check ups/ minor repairs, Frederick Air has always been very responsive and professional. Do you homework and get several estimates, but be sure to give Frederick Air a shot. they've been great to me so far.

Great people and a good experience from first call to final installation. Frederick Air installed a full house heat pump and mini split system for us. They worked around our schedule, did what was possible to accommodate where/how we wanted system components installed, and are a supremely friendly and professional team. They were also great with our dog who was sad they weren't coming back after the 4-day install. I appreciate the whole group who helped with getting our new HVAC system setup.

Mike came to our home to do our routine maintenance check up & showed me & explained what he was checking & told me our system is in very good condition & showed me #'s & explained that our #'s are in a very good place more towards the lower end of the range & no where near the upper end that Frederick Air doesn't want a system to get to. He's extremely personable & does a thorough job. Kudos to having him as a Frederick Air Technician.

The company installed a Mitsubishi mini split on my side porch. It is working great. While they were here, I mentioned that I could mot easily change the air filter on my whole house HVAC that they had installed two years earlier. The technician checked it out; it was in my attic. He said the location of the return should be rearranged so make it easier to get to.
Today workers came by and did the rearranging and put in a piece plywood flooring in the attic, so I could change the filter without falling through the ceiling. It was at no cost to me! A big improvement.

We have used Frederick Air since we moved here in October 2016. A month after we moved into our 15 year old home one of the two HVAC systems failed. They brought out heaters to warm up the lower level until our new system arrived. They were clean and very professional in the installation. With their maintenance plan, we were able to get another year and a half out out the second system before it, too, failed. Again, the new system arrived and was promptly installed.
We just had our biannual inspection and maintenance visit today. It went very well with Michael answering a few questions that we had. All of Frederick Air's employees with whom we have worked are friendly and knowledgeable. During the pandemic they show up with masks already on their faces, no need to ask. Booties on shoes are always there, also. We are very happy with Frederick Air and would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC work.

Had Frederick Air comes out today after 5 days with no AC. My warranty policy could not find any one to come out which is Choice Warranty recommended by AARP, which is a terrible company, nothing seems to be covered. Had Don S as my serviceman and he was great. Service is not cheap but at least I won't roast to death. I will replace the system in the fall.

Duane arrived with a great attitude and worked diligently to get my air conditioner working. He is pleasant, knowledgeable and professional, yet friendly. This company is always honest with me and very fair. My heat pump is old and I was concerned that it needed to be replaced, however, Duane made my day by determining that I only needed a new thermostat and one other part.

We have used Frederick Air for a system check and a diagnostic for an issue we were having with our A/C. When I reached out, Frederick Air sent someone out the same day! While they were unable to fix the issue that day, our tech explained everything and was apologetic that he couldn't fix it that day. We're currently waiting on the part, but I am sure it will be taken care of as soon as possible!

I explained that I am deaf so they made sure to text confirmations. The tech that came to service the unit was Danny. This kid is AWESOME. First he walked through the door and signed his name to me which was super thoughtful.
I hung over his shoulder during the whole inspection so I could learn about the unit and what to expect. He was super friendly, explained everything, and answered all my questions. I was super impressed that although very young, he knew his stuff inside and out. We had a couple very minor things to work on so I can't review how well they do in an emergency situation, but if all the techs are like Danny, I'm a life long customer. I have the membership package so they'll be out again in the Fall and I expect the same great service.

On Friday 7/3/20 I called Frederick Air because we woke up to 82 degrees. Our air was not work at all. My poor dog was so hot, poor baby. I had to leave to work so I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Gino who did an amazing job. The kids room has always been the hottest rooms in the house. Well.not anymore. I don't know what he did but I do know that the air has never worked better. Thank you so much Gino, you rock!

Two years ago we contracted with Frederick Air to install a split unit. They did a great job of setting and meeting expectation. Pricing was clear, logistics around the install had no surprises. Staff were courteous and took obvious care to be clean inside the house and paid attention to the esthetics outside the house. Nicely done. Then the test of time.
Six months later we had water dripping outside the air handler, inside the house. We called and they responded. The cause of the dripping was unclear. What was clear is Frederick Air recorded the event and in a very timely fashion sent service reps to fix the problem - which they did. One year later we had dripping outside the air handler, inside the house.
We called, they responded. The diagnosis was the pump was not sufficient to pump the volume of water to the roof to discharge. They replaced the pump under warranty - per the manufacturer, the same sized pump. Four weeks after that - more dripping. Frederick Air sent a tech with an upgraded pump. Because the pump was larger, it required the wall be cut and the pump be placed in the void between the studs. Parts and Labor covered under warranty.
Each interaction Frederick Air was timely in answering the phone, assigning a tech, responding to the service issue within 48 hours of the call and communicated with us through the event. Frederick Air has a culture of standing behind their work and taking care of their customer. My wife loves them. A great combo.

Rip off--I wouldn't go here. We had an issue with our HVAC system and called them out, based on solid Yelp reviews and them being local. The guy they sent talked real fast, tried to sell us a $500 thermostat, and suggested we schedule a consult for a new unit. Service call was $125. After he left the AC unit came back on but turned off shortly afterwards.
So we called them back. $185 emergency service call but they discounted it down by $63. Frederick Air fixed the problem which was a bad contactor and the price was $195 for the part. I felt they tried to oversell on everything else. Two weeks later the same problem happens. I called another company, the guy comes out and fixed it and told me how to prevent it from happening again.it was a bad contactor, for which they charged $30. Frederick Air charged me $195 for a part another company only charged $30. They will rip you off. Go elsewhere.

My HVAC was making a noise so I wanted to have someone look at it. I contacted multiple companies but decided to give Frederick Air a shot because of their stellar reviews. They told me they would charge me $125 for diagnosing the issue and give me a price on fixing the issue. They were punctual for the appointment time of 7:30am. Sunny came in and was very friendly and professional.
He diagnosed the issue and told me that I needed to replace the inducer motor assembly. While my wife and I were talking, he also switched the capacitor and charged us an extra $87. It is not like he changed it without my permission but I did not price shop for the capacitor, which I regret. I found out that I could have it installed for a mere $15 by going through Air Repair. Sunny also replaced the batteries in my thermostat, which caused my thermostat to stop working.
I called Frederick Air and the guy (I think his name was Dave) diagnosed that the thermostat was not working anymore. He went to his truck for about 10 minutes (probably talking to his boss) and when he came back, he tried to charge me for the thermostat. I did not appreciate that since it was not our fault that the thermostat stopped working. Anyways, he tried to charge me and I politely declined and he said that Sunny would pay for it.
Next day I wanted to get an estimate for installing the inducer motor and Keith from Frederick Air told me it would cost me a whopping $631. I started shopping around and I got a price from Air Repair for $380 to replace the inducer motor with the assembly kit. I wanted to see if Frederick Air would price match. Keith called me back and said that he would just have the motor replaced for $432.
If the motor cannot be replaced, they would replace the whole assembly for $631. Reason for three stars is because their prices are very high and the fact that they tried to charge me for the thermostat. I understand that mistakes happen but companies should own up to their mistakes as well.

This company is fantastic. Their repair man came right out, took time to explain everything, worked with me on what was best for my situation and got my AC up and running. Very professional, respectful and quality service. They also had someone come to do a quote for a new unit I will most likely purchase in the next few months. We called Frederick Air on June 19tcoome out and give us a price on a new unit. Never heard back from them but you bet I had to pay $98 dollars for the first guy to come out and tell me it was broken. Um. Yeah, we knew this. We went with Holztople instead. They even let us use a unit to cool off the living room until we can have it fixed during this awful heatwave.

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT customer service. They are friendly, kind, and courteous. They couldn't come to fix my air conditioner right away so they gave me a window unit for no charge until they could come. Southern Heating and Air made me cry told me they charge $300 just to come out and Frederick Air said $98 which made my tears dry right up. I wish I could work for them but I have no training so that wouldn't work.

I shook hands with the owner as he promised to make me happy with the installation of a new heating system right across the street from their shop. They came to put it in while I was at work. When I returned they had put the unit in so the flue was at the wrong end from the chimney and the hot flue pipe ran through my basement workshop. When I asked them to fix it they said they would do it at "cost" which was over $800.
I never got any better resolution. They crapped on two friends as well when instead of listening to me they picked Frederick Air because they were the low bidder. There's a reason why Frederick Air is often the low bidder. To give you an idea of what the owner is like, one winter he plowed his lot and pushed the snow across the street onto my sidewalk which I am required to keep clear. Yup, a real piece of work.

As a new, single, homeowner it's tough to keep up on all the routine maintenance and repairs on a 100+ year old house. I'm thankful for the peace of mind that Frederick Air provides! Look no further! I am so impressed with this company I will never even consider anyone else. I needed a unit moved and reinstalled at a later date for an addition being built. The removal was promt, efficient and the techs extremely professional. The reinstall had to be scheduled around other trades, inspections, and at different points of construction.
I believe all my request, questions and scheduling requirements may have made me a "difficult" customer. Dave and Eleanor didn't even flinch. They truly are at The top of thier game. The final installation was super clean, tight and flawless. Rich is awesome! This is an old unit and when it fails, there is no question, Dave, Eleanor, Rich and the gang at Frederick Air will get the replacement work.

Frederick Air in my experience has been honest and competent. They have had two occasions to up-charge me, and both times the technicians were honest and performed only what needed to be done. Because of this, I signed up for their maintenance plan. I hope my AC stays cold and furnace stays hot for years to come. I'll also commend their flexible scheduling.
I wanted an ASAP appointment but they weren't able to accommodate, so I made a later appointment. The day before my appointment, they said their tech was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come in a couple of hours. While the weather on that day was cool, I can see this flexibility feeling like a Xmas miracle. Before the tech arrived, Frederick Air sent an email with a pic of the tech and some comments from his recent reviews.
I wanted an ASAP appointment but they weren't able to accommodate, so I made a later appointment. The day before my appointment, they said their tech was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come in a couple of hours.
