Mike Foraker is the President of Jennings Heating and Cooling and has been with the company for the entirety of his 39-year career in the HVAC industry. Mike graduated from Bowling Green State University with a 4-year degree in Business and is certified in Energy Management and Energy Procurement. He is a Business Energy Professional as well as being a member of the Association of Energy Engineering (AEE). His favorite part of the job is business development and taking part in helping people reach their full potential.

Jennings "Heating & Cooling" also does residential electrical work. We had them install new sconce lights on a wall (where they didn't exist prior to installation), add new LED can lights to an office ceiling and replace existing manual switches that controlled outside lights with digital timer switches for convenience. The sconce light installation presented some wiring challenges to find the least intrusive way to get it done due to wall access and the way our house was constructed.
The Jennings technicians did a great job working as an effective team to do a great job and cleaned up nicely after the were done such that you wouldn't have known anyone was there - and we're fussy about keeping our house clean. Would recommend the professionals at Jennings for electrical work, and will use them again the next time.

Well what I thought was a good tune up and had my AC running is no longer the case! After4 technicians being sent over and having to do the maintenance on the AC unit! On one of the warmer days of course my good to go AC unit, is blowing a chilly 76 degrees! I called on a recorded line and have Heather go through what is all involved in the AC tune up!
Because the technician that left the mess that is in the photos just sent, told me he could not clean the fan or blow of the motor because the location was too tight, but it's supposed to be part of this service you get charged for! So let me break it down! 3 separate appointments to get green pass inspection on there checklist to have an AC not to run!
With four kids unacceptable! Of course I call and they say we will send someone right away and of course it does not happen, always an excuse! Then they want to talk about charging you, it's funny working when your technician turned off the AC but when I turn it on, it magically does not work! THANKS Jennings! If your a veteran join the Heroes Club for One hour heating and cooling, at least it is free!

First time using their service. Furnace stopped blowing heat, with 50 degrees nights and a 10 month old baby I needed a quick solution. Was amazed by how quickly they were able to come out (within 2 hours of me calling.) John Fuller was prompt, professional, and thorough. Diagnosed the issue, made the appropriate repairs, and we had heat again. Both he and service manager Don were very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Dave Hazel was very polite and thorough. I would definitely recommend someone so courteous and qualified. Sean Palko was so nice and professional and really did a thorough job. I would highly recommend him. Jeffrey and the other installer did an amazing job for us. They both were so courteous and efficient. Anyone that gets them for installation is so fortunate. Jennings is lucky to have such great workers.

Weight of the ice from the ice storm caused several of large branches to fall, ripping my electric meter off of the house and as well as wires. I called Jennings and they got Andrew out immediately. Andrew came, he was very detailed and gave me an estimate to share with my insurance company. The next day, I called Andrew and he was on another job, he called Me and gave me a detailed game plan.
He sent Brandon! Brandon was amazing as well. He came in and told me the steps he would take to her the process started until Andrew could make it out to finish the job. Once the job was completed, both Andrew and Brandon came into the home and talked us through next steps for future repairs that we will need. This is my first time working with Jennings. They have gained lifetime customers! Thank you so much for all of your help!

Andrew was the technician that provided the service. He did so exactly as agreed upon and very quickly. Was very agreeable and polite. We did wind up deciding to replace the furnace but Sean gave us other options as well. I've used Jennings several times and each time they have been a great company to work with.

Have used Jennings for years. They installed last furnace and AC which was still working after 35 years. Also installed this new one. Josh was just out for a routine maintenance check. He was very friendly and professional. Also very through, a couple minor adjustments and all was good. Very nice people I would never hesitate to call them.

Jennings was able to schedule a technician to come to our rescue within just a few hours of our call. Our furnace stopped running and it was getting quite cold in the house with 3 young kids. Dave the tech was courteous and professional, quickly identifying the problem and keeping me informed every step of the way. He has ordered the necessary part to correct the problem, but in the meantime he got our heat back on! I hope Dave is the tech who returns to complete the repairs! I would recommend Jennings!

I met Sean 30 years ago when I was a teenager. He was fun, sincere, kind and genuine. He has not changed, aged, but not changed. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was done well! The fan motor on my parents furnace broke. My dad called Sean and he came out that day. He ordered the part immediately, provided them with space heaters and made sure the part was delivered. He stayed past 6 pm on a Friday installing the part and stayed to make sure my parents furnace worked.

Have always had a good experience with Jennings. Had to call and reschedule several times because of work conflicts, and they were always friendly, helpful and able to find another date soon. Technicians are always professional, friendly and trustworthy. My latest one wore a mask and shoe coverings; had very little contact with him, which is good during a pandemic. Highly recommend their services.

Employees are very friendly and I didn't have to wait for days before they could come out to the house. Senior Tech Matt is friendly and experienced and lit the hot water tank and furnace after the gas company could not get them lit. I asked for a quote for a new furnace and central air unit and he did not try to sell me something I wasn't interested in.
I did some research and they sell reliable, efficient and economical units that are rated above most other brands! Financing is also an option for slightly more money. Installation was scheduled for eight days after purchase! I see no reason not to hire Jennings Heating, Cooling & Electric!

Purchased my air-conditioning through Jennings heating and cooling. They made sure that I received the proper size for my home. The installation was done to perfection. My family has been Jennings reward members for as long as I can remember and they have served us well. The benefits of the reward program have worked in our favor saving us from impending breakdowns and keeping our heating and cooling systems and electric running well all the time. This past year when they came to do a maintenance check they discovered a water leak in the electric panel, damage accruing to the electric wiring and more and assessed that it needed replaced.
This saved me from a much bigger expense down the road. I would definitely recommend the Jennings reward program. The customer service is always top notch. They notify me who is coming to my house and when they arrive so I'm not wondering if the person at my door is someone other than an employee of Jennings. They are understanding and accommodating.
Their staff who come to do the repair and work are polite, careful, respectful of my and the home, and knowledgeable. I felt safe when they visit on several occasions during the COVID-19 pandemic. They usually introduce themselves, tell why they are visiting and usually something else. Only once did the staff member not do this. We just said hello and he came in and went to work.
I was a little scared because I had never seen him before and because I don't the emails or notifications about who is going to be doing the work--someone else in my family does. I was also busy with work and didn't introduce myself as well. But when I had a chance to introduce myself I went to where the staff member was working and introduced myself to him.
Overall I am super pleased with Jennings and would recommend them to anyone. FYI. I didn't take any photos to post here because I've never been at their location in Akron and I think it would be weird to take a picture of the staff member working and post it.

We called for a clean and check for our furnace. They were able to get us in right away. Sean was the technician that came out. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He told us exactly what he did, what needed repaired as well as what may need repaired/replaced in the future. He also set us up for an appointment for an electrician to come out for an estimate for other work we need completed. Very satisfied!

I cannot emplore you enough, if you ever need your HVAC worked on DO NOT use Jennings Heating & Cooling. I repeat DO NOT use Jennings. I had them do maintenance on my system for years and when it came time to replace the quote they gave me was 12-16k to replace the air conditioning. Of course, they wanted to replace the furnace that is perfectly functional as well.
When I called them out on it the tech suddenly sent me a new quote for 5700. I made some calls to other companies and ultimately went with another company. Final price: 3600. These are not typos. Jennings tech Matt is dishonest and fraudulent. He signed me up for some maintenance program without ever talking to me about it. They recharged coolant that they had recharged less than a week prior and then wanted to charge me over 300 dollars for this "work" (last time it was charged it lasted 2 years) When I called the company and spoke to the manager Mike he basically admitted they tried to pull the wool over my eyes and agreed to refund over 500 dollars of "work" they had done the prior day.
If you want to compare apples to apples the company I'm using (Custom Comfort) would have done the entire system for about 6500 - less than half what Jennings was proposing. Unbelievable. I'm also still waiting on my refund I was assured would be sent last week - they called me this AM and said "the check is in the mail". I wish zero stars was an option, but alas, 1 Star is the lowest they'll let me go. UPDATE: After waiting well over a week for the refund I was assured I was receiving I placed this and a couple other reviews online including contacting BBB - amazingly Mike now has assured me he's going to drop the check to my house today. Our air conditioning was not working and we knew we needed help to get through a hot weekend. We called early on a Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised to talk to a real person! She was able to fit us in that day and Dave came. He was professional and looked at the problem logically and was able to fix things with a part on the truck. He also taught us how to better take care of our unit. Overall, we were thankful and really impressed with the service! It turned an inconvenient problem into a solved one!

Jennings is a GREAT company. Their response time has been exceptional. July 2018 - AC goes out. Repaired within 24 hours and service tech was friendly and cost very reasonable. December 2018 - Furnace stops working. Jennings team is informative and takes time to explain option and cost. They installed a new unit. Work was done better than expected and work area was cleaned up and left in good condition after install. Techs were both very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable! I strongly recommend this company. Workmanship is very good, Customer service exceptional.

A/c went out during the night. Called them first thing in the morning and they were at the house by noon and had it all figured out within a couple hours. Jennings heating and cooling is probably the best service provider I've ever called on. Yesterday David B responded to us in less than an hour after we called for service. I should also mention that when you call, the sweetest lady answers the phone. David was so thorough, and had our problem resolved within minutes. I'm very hesitant about trusting contractors, as we have been bitten, but I have total faith in Jennings. If I could give them 10- stars I would. Don't wait! Call them today.

Good company very professional they were on time, and they call before coming to make sure your home and everything is good to go so nobody's time is wasted. They keep your house clean by wearing boot covers when they come inside. Jennings came out to try and determine why our furnace failed to operate after being serviced by another company. They were diligent and worked very hard to figure out the problem. It was narrowed down to two issues. One involved the purchase of a part the other did not. We opted to see if the problem could be solved without the purchase and thankfully it has worked so far.
Both the service techs were very good and didn't try and hard sell us. With all this cold weather we are grateful that Jennings has helped our family and home stay warm and safe.

Yelped an electrician when couldn't reach our regular company. So glad we contacted Jennings. Called late in the day and they scheduled us for first thing next day. Tim Scott arrived on time and was a true professional. Diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and checked everything electrical. Great service and highly recommend Jennings and hope you get Tim! Jennings installed my furnace almost 5 years ago. It has a five year parts and labor warranty. It was making too much noise for about the lat year, so I called to have service. The serviceman was reluctant to honor the warranty because I had my annual service done by another company. I had to call their office and complain to get my furnace fixed under warranty. Keep your receipts!

We had a problem with our air conditioner that was causing a lot of water to gather in our basement around the base of the unit. We called Jennings and the technician came quickly and solved the problem without charging us an arm and a leg. We'll be using Jennings in the future because our system is getting old and we'll certainly need an honest company to make the best recommendation when the time comes.
