They installed a new furnace for us 13 yrs ago, so we didn't necessarily expect much of a response when it stopped working in the dead of winter. We were pleasantly surprised when Lucas was at our house within a few hours! He was professional and honest and we know we can count on them again if we need to. Service: Repair HVAC

I have dealt with Don Yonish for many years Spent thousands on repairs and a new AC unit I bought from him. Most recently my furnace died in 30 degree temps. I paid for an emergency visit. Tech showed up and did $500 worth of repairs. Furnace stopped working shortly after he left. I called him and he told me he had no idea why it was not working. He said he would talk to his boss tomorrow and be back to me.
The next day he came out. He spent two hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Said he had to talk to owner, Don Yonish, and American Standard. I had to call them back the third day (without heat) to find out American Standard said it was the heat exchanger. Yonish tech told me the furnace was 26 years old based on the serial number. I was told I could replace the heat exchanger for $500 Yonish LABOR (American Standard would supply the part for free), or buy a whole new furnace. Based on info tech gave me (furnace was 26 years old) I decided on a new furnace. WHILE THE TECH was installing the new furnace, I came across old paperwork that had the serial number on it.
I googled and found out the tech was wrong, the furnace was not 26 years old, it was in fact 20 years old. I immediately emailed the owner of the company and told him what I had found out and asked him for a discount on the price since the decision had been based upon misinformation given to me by his tech. Twice I emailed the owner, Don and he did not even respond.
Then the tech required me to pay in full before the installation was complete, as if Don was afraid I wasn't going to pay him. I had to remind the tech to install the new Trane thermostat, which was included in the furnace installation price. Then, instead of leaving the old $80 thermostat, which still worked, the tech took it with him. I had to call him to return it.
I emailed Don and told him I felt mistreated by his lack of communication and consideration and never heard from him. Sad ending for a long, beneficial customer relationship.

This is the first time we used the Yonish company and chose them based on good reviews, so wanted to leave a review of our own. The person who took my call was very friendly and courteous and gave me a timeline to expect a call from the repair person, who called to tell me when he was on his way and expected arrival time. He was friendly, explained what was wrong with our AC and tips to keep it in better running shape. We had a great experience and I will use this company again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others. Thank you!
