Our Company was formed in 1930 by Robert B. Payne, who, with a horse and buggy, started a business delivering wood and ice to local homes. In the late 1930s, Mr. Payne expanded his company by moving into a new home heating product - coal. He had to buy his first boxcar of coal on credit. In the early 1940s, the Company again expanded, moving into what was then the newest home heating product - fuel oil.

I was called on the morning of the appointment to notify me that they were on their way. The technician arrived shortly thereafter. He asked me the location of my system just to be sure he was heading in the correct direction. He spent a reasonable time checking out in the indoor portion of the system. He installed an air filer that I had on hand.
When he completed the indoor system he told me that there were no problems. He then told me he would perform maintenance on the outdoor portion of the system. When he finished he told me that there were no problems on the outdoors system. He thanked me an was on his way. Although he was young, he was confident and apparently was well trained.

Robert B Payne came out for a quote to move a gas line about 5 feet. The repair man wanted to find out where our gas line was downsized from 1 inch to 1/2 inch and asked to cut a hole in our basement ceiling. Without a lot of background, this is a legitimate question/concern. So what's the problem you say? Never received a quote! Follow up calls just told us how it was going to take multiple full days for a plumber and helper. Definitely making it sound like this was going to be at least 5K+ job although we will never know because we never got a quote (and have to get our bar ceiling repaired).

Our Old HVAC system started giving us problems this past winter and we knew we were going to have to bite the bullet and replace our whole system. April 22nd my Unit went down and I went into a panic because it gets super hot here. I also have 3 kids with very bad allergies. So we started the calling process for estimates. The First place we called was Robert B. Payne. Marsha took the call and quickly sent us a wonderful man named Robbie.
This was all done within 2 hours of our phone call. Robbie came out, showed up early and went through alot of options and prices. The sticker shock can be overwhelming but he was there to explain to us how we could afford it using a special financing options through Wells-Fargo. That process was very easy and absolutely no pressure from him at all.
I asked him all kinds of questions including how fast can we get the job done, are your crews experienced, and is this really a good price? We all had a few laughs at my questions but he answered all of them with a smile. He left and I already knew this was the company I wanted to use. So I grabbed my computer got on to Wells Fargo and was approved within minutes.
I had a few more questions because the interest rate was different then originally quoted online. So I called Marsha back and she walked me through the whole process. It wasn't different by the way. Then once I had the financing we scheduled for May 5 2022. My unit was still somewhat working so that timeline was perfect. Well 2 days later my unit no longer was able to cool at all.
The forecast was calling for 89 and the pollen was out of this world. So I called back and this time I got Erin. She is just an angel and I swear we are just good friends now. She listened to my concerns and tried to get someone out sooner but every single crew was already running full time. But she didn't want us to suffer through the pollens and heat. SO she contacted her service team and they offered to bring me out a window unit FREE OF CHARGE.
They came out that day and installed it for me. What an amazing thing to do for us. Then after that was taking care of I was thinking about those dang Pollens and I remembered my very good friend had an Air Scrubber and she just swears by them. So back on the phone I went and spoke to Erin. She patched me through to Robbie and we spoke about the Air scrubber and determined That YES this is what I wanted.
He was able to offer me a great price and I added it to my order. Now all I had to do was wait till today May 5th for my install. The crew showed up at 7:30am ready to work. Everyone was so kind and introduced themselves to me. Ricky, Tommy, and Nick. They went straight to work. They all wore shoe guards so they did not get dirt on my carpet. Ricky explained everything to me before he got started.
The paperwork was all neat and ready for signatures but he allowed me to look it over and ask any questions. I noticed the air scrubber was not the Ozone as I thought I was going to receive so he then called Rebecca and she said they would grab that one and run it to us but after speaking to the crew and Ricky I decided to go with this one. But at anytime I wanted the other one I could just call back.
The install was pretty quick. Here at 7:30am and completed by 11:30am. Ricky even helped me set up my fancy new thermostat and showed me the app to download on my phone. Super Awesome by the way. After every thing was done He came upstairs reviewed everything and made sure I was happy and that all my questions were answered. They were. Then he said okay lets go take a tour of all the new equipment. WE did and it was beautiful. They left no mess and I am very happy. They did a great job and I highly recommend them.

I've been using RB Payne for more than 30 years, and in that time I've had professional, reliable service from courteous technicians. I like that they are locally owned and that they care about the community. My last maintenance was earlier this week. Technician Louie was knowledgeable, polite, and respectful of me and my home. He explained what was happening with my system and how he would fix it. Technicians like Louie are one of the many reasons I continue to patronize RB Payne.

We have been with Robert B. Payne for over 20 years and will not go anyplace else. They provide yearly maintenance on our furnace and air conditioning units as well as heating oil on a regular basis. Everyone provides great customer service and we have worked with Shane for many, many years. He is a very dedicated employee who insures the customer's needs are meet and always goes the 'extra' mile! Theresa is so pleasant to talk too and always provides excellent customer service when calling into the business. We highly recommend using this business for all your HVAC services.

My husband and I had a new boiler installed in our 1872 home. The old one had been disconnected by the gas company because it was leaking gas and too old to be repaired. Robbie came out to assess the situation and we had a contract emailed later that day. Marsha kept us apprised of the boiler delivery and our scheduled installation. She had warned us that it might take as long as three days to get the system up and running. Ricky and Tommy were our technicians.
They showed up on day one at 7:30 am, and our radiators were working better than they ever have by the following day at 2 pm! Ricky and Tommy were courteous, cheerful, and efficient. They explained everything we needed to know about the system they installed, and they left the basement cleaner than they found it! I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. Start to finish was a great experience. From the first phone call dealing with Marsha on the phone who seemed so concerned for our situation that you could feel the compassion and urgency in her voice. Then, to have the opportunity to have Robbie as our salesman was the perfect example of his title. He brought with him a level of experience and professionalism that are hard to come by today. Finally, Ricky and Tommy were great.
They showed up on time! They had a great attitude the entire time! Explaining the system to me afterwards was a breeze with a knowledgeable and experienced pair of guys. Overall, we were very satisfied working with this entire team from Robert B. Payne.

Great crew and great service. Our business needed a replacement unit and the air blower unit is above ceiling at a tricky location with tight access, sill the crew Wayne and Charles patiently worked around it without any complaints or issues and efficiently completed the work professionally. Greta job all. Would recommend to use them for any residential and commercial work

I contacted Robert B Payne to get a estimate on a new gas furnace and Robbie Jones came out and gave me an estimate. Mr. Jones was professional and very knowledgeable. The two installers Travis and Dempsey came out to the house and installed the system in no time. They were very professional and polite. I will be calling on them again if I need any AC or heat repair.
