Schaafsma Heating & Cooling

Our furnace went out so no air conditioning and the temperature was going to be in the 90's. Our almost 95 year mother is with us and my husband and I are seniors too. Service came out and said we needed a new furnace as the price to repair was too high and he could not guarantee how long the repair would hold due to the age of the furnace. Sales was out that afternoon, ordered the furnace, and set up an installation appointment for after hours on Monday and Tuesday as there regular installations were out a couple of weeks. Jason and Teague to the rescue.

They removed the old and installed the new furnace in one night. We had air before the temperature hit the 90's. They were awesome and cleaned up everything. Thank you so much.

This was a very positive experience from beginning to end. It was a pleasure working with the staff on the phone initially, and then having Josh here to do the work in such a professional manner. Josh called me during the scheduled time frame for the maintenance work, showed up promptly, and went right to work. He did a very thorough checkout and educated me on the status of my system and what needs to happen next. It was great having Josh at our house. We could not be more pleased.

Our furnace died on a Thursday. They had a repairman here on Friday. It turned out to be the heat exchanger. With supply chain issues and age of furnace, it was more practical to just replace the entire furnace. Spoke with one of their furnace people that evening, and since they still had all the measurements from last time, they were able to work us in the following Tuesday. The workmen were efficient and friendly. They put down runners to keep our place clean. The job went smoothly and we now have a new and improved Lennox furnace.

Their website did not work for scheduling a quote but when I contacted them regarding this they were very helpful in getting someone out to us right away. They obviously know their stuff when explaining what was worth doing and what wasn't. The installation was quick and professional. I plan to use Schaafsma again in the future.

They were the only ones who would show up in the dead of winter for less than an arm+leg pricing to diagnose our broken furnace, so that was a plus in their favor. They showed up when they said they would. And called ahead to say they were on the way, that was nice . The original quote for repairs was way higher than we thought it would be, but then when the repairs were done, the actual price was much lower.

That was a nice surprise The furnace fired right up and the house was warming up quickly so we were happy. Although they tried to upsell (as expected) they weren't jerks about it and didn't press hard when we declined the extras. We would have taken it but we were already over budget. Would definitely recommend them, hence the 5 rating, and will certainly call them without hesitation for any future needs. Oh, and the two different techs I interacted with were very thorough, super friendly and very patient with our many questions. So additional for that.

The gentlemen that came to my home and installed my new furnace and A/C were amazing! They were friendly, professional, helpful, VERY INFORMATIVE! Brian made sure I knew EVERYTHING I needed to know before he left for the day. They were friendly to my animals and children, and made me feel safe leaving to go to work! Huge shout-out to Amanda for pointing the way.

As well as Missy in the office and my salesman Greg! They made mountains move! And a big thanks to Drew for shutting off the gas and making sure we didn't get poisoned. Thank you all.

We sent a text referral thru their website. Within minutes we received a text message and they were able to help do a Lil diagnostic, we then ask for a tech to come out. We didn't think anyone would be out today. With in 15 minutes he was here. He's very good. Thank you for your speedy service and thank you Marv for all you did for us today. I will Def recommend you to my friends and family.

Schaafsma representatives have been positive in all interactions. Our furnace was having issues and creating a burning smell (which was diagnosed as wires burning). When they came out, they said the circuit board, motor and capacitor are all fried and need to replaced. They quoted $2000 to replace those items, and recommended at that price you might as well look at a full furnace replacement (which would be 2-3x the price).

I got a second opinion and the same $2000 quote by Schaafsma was completed for $575 and we have perfectly working heat again. Incredibly predatory to have such variance in pricing between companies doing the same work given the fact that it's cold outside.

My heat stopped working in the dead of winter, and Schaafsma was onsite within 30 minutes fixing my furnace to make sure everything was working correctly. Marv was great. I was freezing cold and he was able to come out right away and found a solution within an hour. He knows his stuff, and didn't push a bunch of sales nonsense that we've experienced with other companies. He took the time to educate me on how the furnace worked and what needs to be fixed, which I really appreciated. 10/10 would recommend Marv with Shaafsma!

Our first experience with Schaafsma and we couldn't have asked for a better one. We had a new furnace and AC unit installed and just amazed at how smooth everything went. Our salesperson Jeff was very well informed and provided us with several options and made it pretty easy. Scheduling install with Missy was very smooth. The installers Cameron and Drew were very knowledgeable and thorough and did a great job. Thanks everyone for all your help.

Can't say enough good things about this company. They're reliable and thorough and they come out when you need them. Only thing I hate is the thermostat we got but the service makes up for it.
