We have an old home and a boiler system. Too many windows for mistubishi A/C units. We were starting to think AC was never going to be an option for us. Sullivan offered a high velocity tube like AC system. One unit in our attic to cool the 2nd and 3rd floor, another in the basement for our first floor. They installed it over time and were done before the summer heat commenced.
The workers were great.we loved Maria. She was so considerate, showed us the work done each day, and my youngest daughter (4) even loved following her around. Highly recommend! Great service, products, and labor.

Sullivan installed an A/C system at our home on Aug. 19th. I had Sullivan and two other local companies propose the job in late July. At that time, Jerry explained what systems would work best in our house, and quoted three options. Over the next couple of weeks, he very patiently answered my (many) questions as I was trying to decide who to give the job to.
In the end, two considerations led me to choose Sullivan: their price was significantly lower than the competitors, and their responsiveness in addressing my questions. They came through on the date they promised for the installation. They texted me before the crew was to arrive, including a photo and short bio of the lead technician, Maria. Maria and her crew did a great job, arriving around 9:30 AM and wrapping up around 3:30 in the afternoon.
The owner and Jerry even stopped by during the day to make sure we were happy with how it was coming along. Maria walked us through all aspects of the installation (again patiently answering all our questions), and showed us how the system worked with our thermostat. They left the work area cleaner than it was before! We love the performance of the Trane system! Definitely would highly recommend Sullivan!

Our a/c stopped working during the terribly hot heat wave we had this summer and Sullivan was the only service that could come over within a 2 day period. The service person was very friendly, on time and very quick. Then this past weekend our whole system stopped working and we called on a Sunday and Jerry Sullivan was at our house the next day. He was fantastic! Sullivan is a family owned business that is very caring, will work with you to get you service ASAP, very efficient and a good value. We highly recommend them! The furnace in my apartment stopped blowing warm air through the vents in two major rooms and I was beside myself In Trying to remedy the situation since my landlord is a total slumlord. The temperature was dropping drastically by the hour and I started calling around to see if I could get an hvac expert over to do an estimate. Every place seemed booked solid and I'd have to wait a day or more just for a service rep to stop by and take a look.
At this point I had been using the oven to warm the place, and my last gas bill was $380.00! I certainly don't have the funds to continue paying for gas at that rate. Thank god for Sullivan Heating and Cooling! They found a way to make rime for me, and I couldn't have been more happy when I heard the knock on my front door. The service man was excellent.
Very polite and thorough in his investigation. He even gave me a deal on the initial service charge. I think he could tell that I was very frustrated and fed up with my negligent landlord. I sincerely thought I'd end up having to rely on my oven to heat the place for the rest of the winter. But because of Sullivan's, I now had written proof of the issue.
Now it's up to my landlord to fork out the cash for a new furnace.and if he doesn't, at least I have proof that there actually is an issue. Thank you so much Sullivan, for your efforts in squeezing me into your already busy schedule. Now that's true customer service! I would highly recommend these guys!

I give this company a five star rating they are so honest and so quick I'm coming in responding to my neither of my furnace! The guy Michael who took care of my furnace was so honest I just couldn't believe it it's nice to see a family owned company debt will be so nice to work with! I will definitely use them in the future and I would definitely recommend them to anybody looking for a furnace problem

Sullivan Heating and Cooling did a great job servicing my furnace! Office staff was very friendly and scheduled an appointment for service that was convenient for my schedule. The service person was professional and left the serviced area clean and tidy. I could have been taken advantage of not know if much about furnaces or cooling systems but that was not the case!
My furnace was serviced and I was told my older furnace was running just fine and the price was super reasonable! I highly recommend Sullivan Heating and Cooling! This family owned company will treat you right and do a great job at a reasonable price!

I always get great service from Sullivan Heating. They installed a new furnace and air conditioner for us five years ago and it's been a real pleasure working with them ever since. We had a couple small problems with the furnace over five years which is to be expected with our harsh climate. All I have to do is let them know and they fix it fast.
I truly enjoy everyone from the office people to the technicians and I am so glad I went with Sullivan. Fast friendly service and they're there when I need them. I highly recommend them for your heating and air conditioning work.

I have had my furnaces serviced and cleaned by Sullivan Heating & Cooling for the last 8 years. They offer excellent service at an excellent price. Jerry Jr. is always professional and knowledgeable. He provides helpful advice on how to properly maintain my furnace and keep it running efficiently. The entire staff offers courteous and friendly service. I have dealt with Sullivan for five years and have been very happy with their service. I had them replace my furnace and air conditioner when I retired. They have always been very thorough and caring in every detail. They do yearly checks and preventative maintenance on my equipment at a very affordable price. Their office people are very pleasant and helpful and easy to talk to and I like everyone that works for Sullivan and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them and I won't go anywhere else.

Our furnace stopped working. Called Sullivan early AM and they responded immediately with a morning appointment. Tech was great, diagnosed problem quickly (motor blew up.literally blew up) and he was out the door going to get the new motor stat! Installed quickly and heat was back on! Tech gave options to us before installation and explained longevity of motor replacement.
When my husband inquired about hot water heater options, they did not try to up sell us on options (tank less) that didn't make sense for us. They were truthful, responsive and very reasonably priced. I gave them a shot because their more recent reviews on HOME ADVISOR and GOOGLE were great and I absolutely recommend them thus far! I recommended them to my colleague a week later when his furnace bit the dust, and they quoted him almost half the price of another competitor!
They were also super responsive to him too! Give them a shot, so far so good with their service and they are in my books now for my AC/hot water heater and eventual furnace replacement. Thanks SULLIVAN!

Jerry Jr. is very professional, polite and helpful. Our furnace/air conditioner was installed almost 10 years ago by Sullivan's and we have had them service the units every year since. They have always provided excellent service and maintenance care. They are very respectful of our property and clean-up very well after. I would recommend them anyone who wants professional heating and cooling service.

On Monday July 27, 2015 Sullivan Heating & Cooling was contracted by our home warrenty co. (2 - 10 Home Warrenty Co.) to come to our home to diagnose a non-working home A/C unit. To our surprise Jerry Jr. (owners son) was at our house less than four hours later. Then we were astounded that within twenty minutes he had the problem identified and a work order prepaired.
What happened next was our first indication that we may be dealing with a shady character/company. Jerry Jr. stated that the unit was repairable at a cost of $1,500 to $1,600 to warrenty Co. and $300+ cost to us for upgradeds; however, he was going to do his best to try to get the warrenty co. to pay for a new unit at a cost of $3,100 to the warrenty Co. and $600+ cost to us.
We then inquired on a time frame of said repairs. He said that if he recieved the parts by early the following week, he will get them installed by the end of that week (Friday Aug. 7). If he was successful in getting the new unit, that would take two to three weeks because it was a much larger job. Due to young children, an old dog and the predicted heatwave of 90+ degree temps. we were not thrilled about the minimum ten day wait, but because a thrid party warrenty Co. running the repair process we had no choice.
The parts to repair the unit arrived at Sullivan's offices on Monday Aug. 3rd. Christine (Receptionist) called to schedule the install. Christine stated that the earliest they could get to us was Friday Aug. 21st. I then said the 21st was unacceptable for two reasons, first; our original oral agreement was for Fri. Aug. 7. Secondly; I was scheduled for outpatient surgery on Thur. Aug. 20. Christine stated that this was the first she was hearing of the Aug. 7th date and there was nothing she could do.
I then asked to speak to someone higher than her (big mistake). Michelle (office manager) gets on the phone. I began to calmly explain the situation and the reason I was unhappy. Michelle cut me off before I could finish and in a raised voice told me that she was not going to change the date and I was free to find another contractor if I didn't like it. Becuase I desperately wanted my A/C fixed I asked if she could lower her vioce so we can discuss this.
She then asked "what do I Mean"? I said that it seemed like she was "getting excited" and it was unnecessary. At that point Michelle exploded at me screaming "are you a psychiatrist"? "What makes you qualified to know when I'm excited"? She also said a few other things that I was unable to make out, she then hung up on me. At that point I called 2 - 10 Home Warrenty to request a different contractor to install the parts.
A Rep. from 2 -10 told me that they could not have someone else install the parts sent to Sullivan. I would have to start the claim over from the beginning. Because we were already eight days into this claim I decided to call Sullivan to try to smooth things over. I attempted to call several times but they would not pick up the phone. The next morning I called 2 - 10 and started a new claim.
After starting the new claim I called Christine from a different phone. I asked to speak to Jerry Sr. (the owner), she said he was not in but she would have Jerry Jr. call me. About an hour later Jerry Jr. called. I told him that I did not like the way things were left and I wanted to give him my side of the story. He had no idea what I was talking about, all he was told is that we were unhappy with the install date so we cancelled.
I then explained what happened, he said that he was sorry and he would discuss it with his father. Approximately half hour later I recieved a call from Michelle. She apologized for her unacceptable behavior As If that wasn't bad enough, this is when I became aware that in my opinion a fraud had been committed. It took a couple days to get a new contractor out to our house.
On Thursday Aug. 6th Skip Roehrig from A. G. Roehrig & Son arrived to look at our unit. Within 10 minutes Skip had the problem diagnosed, 20 minutes later he had our A/C running. In my Opinion Sullivan Heating & Cooling would had defrauded both myself and 2 - 10 Home Warrenty. We purchased a furnace (our old one conked out) and a central air unit (the first one ever for our house) from Sullivan this year. There were a few things they could have done better, but overall we've had a great experience and would recommend them to others. Positives: 1) Furnace was installed in a timely manner and works wonderfully. We received a wireless programmable thermostat in our package deal and we love being able to control the unit when we're away from home. 2) Central air unit was installed a few months later (after snow melted from the back yard).
No problems with it; love it, works with the same programmable thermostat. 3) All of the technicians who have come to our house have been polite, courteous, and helpful. They walked us through how to use both units and made sure we didn't have any questions before they left. 4) Sullivan submitted our Lennox rebate for us, without us having to do anything.
We received the check in the mail a little over a month after Sullivan installed the furnace, which was faster than we expected. Negatives: 1) In our initial contract, they agreed to reroute a hot water heater pipe for us which had been installed incorrectly by the previous owner of our house. We expected it to be done when they installed the furnace, or maybe a few months later when they installed the central air, but they ended up forgetting about it.
I had to call multiple times to get it scheduled. However, when the work was finally done, the technician did a great job and we were pleased with the result. 2) It's now been over five months since the furnace was installed, and we're still waiting to receive paperwork we need in order to get a small rebate from National Fuel. I've been told I should receive the paperwork in advance of the end-of-2015 deadline, but it's something on my pending list that I'd like to get taken care of sooner rather than later.

If you are looking for a sold AC repair company look no further. Our AC went dead when it was 86 with high humidity. After opening all the windows and placing old fans around the house, I researched an hour or so and found Sullivan's. I called first thing the next day and got an appointment for later in the day. The dispatcher called and said they could be there earlier so the tech showed up about 3 hours after my initial call.
He quickly (5 minutes or less) found the problem, had the part in his truck and swapped it out. Functional AC! He also spend an extra 5 minutes showing me how to clean the outside to get a even more efficient unit. Really disappointed. I purchased a house that had central air and a thermostat installed by Sullivan a year ago. According to the contract, everything is still under warranty. The temperature sensor in the thermostat stopped functioning, and when I called and asked if that is covered, I was told someone would have to come to the house to determine if it is covered, and that it would cost $70.
I understand house calls cost money, but if something is covered under a warranty, the house call is typically included. Roys plumbing has been the greatest heating and cooling company I've used since living in the Buffalo area. I'd rather give them the business.
