Great company. They did a swamp cooler installation for us a long time ago. It has lasted 10 years so far. I'm wishing I had called them for a recent repair, but I couldn't remember their name. The other company who fixed it charged twice what it cost to install. I just found my receipt from the install, so I'll be calling them next time.

Buyer Beware! This company installed new Heating and Air Conditioning equipment in our home 6 years ago resulting in failure after failure after failure. We began experiencing problems with our A/C unit within first year of installation. They came out and determined that the cooling charge (refrigerant) had all leaked out so, the system was re-charged.
I was told that because i was a month outside my warranty and charged for the service. Since then we have had CV Carlston out 3 times within the first 4 years of service for the same issue, low refrigerant. This year, year (6), the A/C unit was not cooling property again. This time I contacted another company to come inspect/test the equipment. You guessed it, I was told that the refrigerant was low, AGAIN.
I then contacted CV Carlston to explain my situation and asked them how a brand new system can leak refrigerant every year. I was told by the receptionist that the owner would contact me, which he did not. After waiting for 4 days, I called again and spoke with the owners wife. I explained my situation to her and was told they (CV Carlston) only warranted their work for a period of 1 yr, no exceptions.
I was also told that the equipment they installed is only warranted for a period of 5 years, and you guessed it, it's past 5 years. I asked them to explain to me then why they weren't able to diagnose, repair the leak or the cause of the leak in the equipment during the first, second or third service calls within the first 4 years of service. They were unable or unwilling to provide me with a reasonable explanation of their prior service(s) of the unit.
They simply said "We went above and beyond" to service the unit and now it's up to you the consumer to weigh your options, and I quote " Pay a service fee plus refrigerant every year, or pay $4000 for a new unit". They in no way offered to rectify this issue in any way other than to simply allow the refrigerant to leak out into the atmosphere or pay to install another unit with absolutely zero guarantees that the new unit would operate as it was also designed. Communications with the company and it's owner(s) has been frustrating and unsatisfactory experience. UPDATE: 7/17/2017 I hired another heating and air conditioning company to come service the air conditioner.
The technician tested the system and discovered it was low on refrigerant. They added 6 POUNDS of refrigerant before the system would operate as it was designed. No leaks were detected upon inspection. We will see what happens next year. UPDATE: 7/1/21 System is still leaking. I just had it serviced and found it was down by 5 pounds of Freon. The technician believes the leak is most likely in the line-set.
Too bad CV Carlston didn't stand behind their work. My fault for being patient and understanding for the first 4 years of service. After 11 years of leaks I'm having the systems replaced this year.

For me their customer service has been astonishingly good. We have a large and complex heating and AC system that was installed a few years ago in our new home. The system is absolutely top quality, expertly designed with humidifiers, dampers, etc. that all work exceptionally well. A few minor problems showed up a couple of years in, after the standard service warranty expired.
The biggest issues were caused by our home builder damaging the system before the house was finished, which required substantial replacement of equipment. CV Carlston took care of the problems extremely quickly, thoroughly, and with minimal or no cost to me. Their technician was friendly and extremely helpful, explaining the system and offering great suggestions for saving on maintenance costs (which he could otherwise benefit from). Office staff has always been cheerful and responsive.

Installed our geothermal system when we built our house. We've had nothing but trouble with the system ever since. The owner Vaun will not take responsibility to make the system work and I have had to pay thousands of dollars to other HVAC contractors to fix his mess. Do not EVER consider using this company.

If there is a company I trust to help me with my heating and ac needs, it is CV Carlston! Every one of their technicians is smart, competent and dependable; they know their stuff. I know I will get a straight answer and not be bamboozled into spending thousands of dollars for equipment that will just fail in a few years. They only work with the best products. They keep pretty busy and sometimes are booked out a week or two but somehow they always seem fit my needs in! Thanks for helping me out when I need it!

They did a fairly large job installing a new system with ducts on the lower level of our home. Almost immediately it was not cooling because it was leaking Freon. I guess they don't tighten all the nuts when they install. In the upper level we had them install another ac region in an enclosed loft. They installed a thermostat that routed all the cold air at night through this one duct so the system froze and stopped working.
It needed a bypass duct to route the excess cold air back into the system. They refused to accept responsibility for the problem and told us if we paid them, we could get it repaired in 6 weeks. It's disappointing when a company does not stand behind their work
