My AC wasn't working. Called a few places to get a price quote on call out to troubleshoot problem. This place had the best price and great reviews on Yelp. They sent Levi out on the call and he was very friendly and reliable. He Got my AC up and running in no time. Will definitely use them again for any heating or cooling problems with my home in the future.

A-Action Heating & Cooling replaced our existing furnace and A/C with a new Trane system. They were prompt on arriving and worked throughout the day, even though it was snowing/hailing at various time (April!). They were courteous and explained the mechanics of the new system. They even gave us two space heaters to use during the process since we had no heat in the house. I would highly recommend.

Just had them service my central heating unit and I'm very happy with it. The price was less than the average of the 5 places I called and they came out the soonest (3 days). The technician was very friendly and even taped the ducting ok my water heater even though they were here to do maintanence on the central heating unit. I would highly recommend calling them for your needs.

This family team is phenomenal! Last year they saved us by going above and beyond when our furnace was playing hard ball. Then this year, they came when a different part (that another company installed last year) broke. They are consistently fabulous with communication, professional and considerate, as prompt as possible with service, extremely knowledgeable and expert in the details.
And fair prices. Cannot praise them highly enough. Beautiful people! And to the review that is negative, I'm pretty sure that they just got confused about the name of the company they hired. That experience just does not fit at all.

Every time I call it's always loud in the background, sounds like arguing. They take days to get to your house just to rack up bills, and leave you in worse condition then when you left. I've had the "owner" to my sons house three times and still no heat. Not sure I should try any of their other technicians if the owner can't even fix my problems. We will be searching elsewhere you should too!

If I could give this company a 0 star out of 5 I would. After spending 8 days in the hospital and mourning the death of my daughter, we came home to a broken furnace. The last thing we needed. I decided to call A-Action Heating & Cooling because they had previously installed my furnace in 2020. After speaking with the customer service rep and explaining my situation, I had a technician named Levi Pennington stop by to diagnose the issue and fix it.
I told him I was hoping to have the furnace repaired so I could keep my pregnant wife warm during this chilly weekend. I greeted him when he arrived and relayed that it was crucial to get the furnace up and running as we were grieving our little one. He interrupted me and said "Yeah.yeah.yeah." After 10 minutes in my garage I decided to ask him why he felt the need to be so insensitive, he replied "What do you want me to say?
I don't have any kids". What type of person says that? It's 2021, are you for real? Do you not have a heart? Is there any compassion? Apparently not. I kindly asked, how many technicians work for A-Action, he replied 7. I was contemplating having another technician come out as we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover (the company).
He was very rude and said I should be grateful he sped right on over. I decided to ask him to kindly to ***k off, and to leave my property. He stood there for 3 minutes trying to recover, he told me to never call A-Action again and that they would never do business with me. I asked him if I could speak to his manager, and he relayed "I am the manager".

I decided to call other companies and explained the situation that had happened. I called First Call Heating & Cooling and spoke to their rep Lindsay, she was very kind and down to earth. After hearing my story, she was able to move around times and they will be servicing our furnace first thing in the morning.
She also offered a discount as she felt my emotions over the phone. It was refreshing, there is faith in this madness. If you need a quality company, don't use A-Action. My mother-in-law was so furious, she called the company right after. A rep said the manager Tim would call me to communicate the issue I had with his employee, you best bet he never called. Nice

Tim & his team were great to work with from estimate to install. Their prices were competitive. The installers as well as the electricians were freindly, professional, knowledgable, respectful, and on time. I wanted to work with a locally owned business, and I'm glad I did. If you're looking for a company that sends quality techs out in a timely fashion and really advocates for you vs pure profit for them, you can stop looking. This is the place. I've used them three times for various issues with our HVAC system at home and they are top notch. Levi is an absolute walking encyclopedia of knowledge about these systems and I found him a pleasure to work with.
I learned a lot from listening to him and watching. The pricing was always fair - even when I was desperate to get help in the middle of a heatwave, they didn't gouge me. I've had some pretty horrible experiences in this area finding tradesmen (electricians, plumbers) with transparent, fair prices and great service. I feel very lucky to have found A-Action and will be keeping them in my address book.

My air conditioner went out during the 112 degree weather in Portland this month. My system is 25 years old so I figured I would need a whole new system. My neighbor had a great experience with A Action and suggested I give them a call. Well, A Action sent Levi to check my system and I was amazed and astonished that he repaired my air conditioner and had it up and cooling in less than an hour.
I was over the moon happy that he was able to make the repairs. Levi was very professional and knowledgeable. Believe me, when I do need to replace my heating and air conditioning system, it will be with A Action.

From the very beginning A-Action did a fantastic job! Brett came out and asked all the right questions, and gave lots of helpful suggestions. He got us a quote very quickly. Tim and Scott showed up at exactly the appointed time and eight hours later we were luxuriating in cool air on an 85 degree day. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for HVAC services! This new system is also whisper quiet.

So many great things to say so stay with me: The quote I received was from a gentleman that didn't try to scare or sell me. He was humble and kind. The two men who installed my furnace were professional, thorough, and communicated with me expertly. When my AC unit failed on the hottest weekend in the history of Oregon, I walked into their office and even though it was a madhouse, I was talked to with kindness, respect, and then gentleman even took the time to drive to my house to fix my AC as an existing customer.
The latter scenario impacted my family as the inside of our house was 92 degrees and just finding any time to offer to try to fix my AC was unexpected. But it solidified me and my family as a A Action customer for life.

We are very happy with the service from this company! We had the main board go out on our furnace. Levi showed up in just a couple days and diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and as soon as it came in, I was called to schedule the work. Dan showed up on time scheduled, replaced the board tested everything and made recommendations for updating our filters. Good advice! Both techs were very pleasant to work with, gave accurate estimates and advice. Highly recommend this service!

A-ACTION (the authorized service rep for RUUD Central Heaters) Our serviceman Levi Pennington diagnosed a thermostat failure; inspected, cleaned/serviced our central heater unit bringing it back to normal very quickly. Our heater had failed to come on and our thermostat was reading "BLANK" or intermittent.as noted by Levi. The service and support that we have received over the years from A-ACTION is impeccable.

Our thermostat stopped working, and we had a very cold house for two days and nights. We were lucky enough to find A-Action Heating & Cooling and called them. Dan came out the next day, did a thorough investigation, and explained everything to us. He replaced our thermostat with the new one we had bought. Hooray, we have heat now! Dan pointed out that we also have an issue with our air conditioner. We will call A-Action in April to schedule a spring tune-up of our A/C. We highly recommend this company for quality, fast, friendly service!

We have always had exceptionally good service from this company. A few years ago, they installed a Trane high efficiency furnace. They worked in a timely manner and with due diligence - with minimum disruption. Since then, we have worked with Dan Mullenix (a lot of the time) Levi Pennington and Tim. They work well as a team. They have serviced the furnace and the Air-conditioning regularly.
All technicians are truly knowledgeable and professional. The billing has always been reasonable. Great communication skills. I am always happy with the service and the people. We highly recommend them.

Our air conditioner went out on Sunday, the hottest day of the year so far I believe, followed by more HOT days. Called A-Action Heating & Cooling and they came to the rescue quickly, efficiently, and very affordable. While I was traveling abroad, the furnace in my rental property completely died. I knew that this day was inevitable considering the age of the furnace. I coordinated 4 different estimates while overseas. Brett and Savannah from A-Action, were a pleasure to work with. My Trane furnace stopped working so I went to the Trane website and found A-Action Heating and Cooling under their Service Support for my location. When I called A-Action they quoted me a reasonable service charge that was lower than others plus they were able to send a service technician on the same day. Levi showed up on time! He was able to quickly figure out why my furnace was not working and ordered the failed Gas Valve within a short time.
When he came back (within our agreed time) he installed the new Gas Valve fast. I feel very comfortable to recommend this company especially because of their service technician, Levi, and the company's reasonable pricing.

The entire team at A Action heating and cooling is amazing! My furnace went out and they offered to come out that same day! I thought I knew what the problem was so I came in and bought a part from them. My attempt that repair was not successful. Their service tech Levi was there the next day on time! Levi was very professional and personable. He did not want my dog and I to be called.
He called in and requested a sales person come to my home. Amazingly he was there within an hour and he too was very professional and personable. They were there the following morning and replace my furnace. I highly recommend this company, they have all school ethics and fair and reasonable pricing. Their customer service is top notch!

Our 17 year old gas furnace was leaking last night, all of our friends told us it's about time to replace a new one. Called A-Action at 4pm, they sent someone to come in at 8am the next morning. Within half an hour, things have been explained and fixed. No, they didn't try to sell us to replace our furnace. Technician Levi Pennington is very professional, he's punctual, knowledgeable and honest. We are very blessed to have found them and would highly recommend them in a heart beat.

These guys were great. They just installed a new gas furnace for us. Good attention to detail, straight forward terms and conditions, did not try to up sell on things we did not want, took care of warranty registration promptly, good price and timing of install, installed new thermostat, got out quickly to make a minor adjustment that came up during inspection, and from reception to installers everyone was friendly and clear. These people are absolutely top-notch. They responded immediately on the phone, and were more than courteous. Even while busy during a heat wave, they responded to my AC need very promptly, and even worked me into a cancellation spot to get me help earlier (2 days, compared to the 2 weeks estimated by another company). The technician (Levi) was spot-on, fixed exactly what needed to be fixed, and even fixed a few problems caused by the original installer. Fair pricing, easy to deal with, and friendly. My AC was cold but not pushing air. I assumed it was the blower and called for repair. The Tech came out and said the problem was a bad thermostat. He said to get one at home depot since he didn't have the kind I needed. Of course he charged the fee for the visit but since he didn't have a thermostat it was not working when he left. My husband got a thermostat and installed it. AC behaved in exactly the same way.
So we called back and asked them to come out again. We had to pay another service charge despite the fact that he didn't fix the problem the first time. This time he refilled the Freon even though he said it wasn't low. Then he tested the system. same issue. He told us the ducts needed to be clean and left! When the furnace is on air comes through the ducts just fine.

Good price for a new AC unit. Did a great job installing it, checking ducts, and plumbing. During the final inspection I asked for a cover for the fall and winter. "I'll get you a price", no call, 4 weeks later I followed up, left a message, never got a call back. 3 weeks later final got the sales lady and was told that she forgot and would call the factory and get right back to me.3 weeks later I called the office letting them know I ordered a cover off the net. As far as installation goes, great. Service after the sale. Kind-a nonexistent.

They came out first and did not have the boards they needed to fix the problem. Then the Owner came out and solved the issues with a third board replacement. All is good now. System was installed in 2012. Great to see them stand behind the equipment they installed. Update: AAction continues to do a good job maintaining the system they installed. Owner came out and performed a thorough routine maintenance and cleaning of the Furnace and AC Systems. I would not let anyone else touch the equipment. Owner is very knowledgable and we are now all set for Summer Season.

A couple of weeks ago I called A-Action to come out and look at my temp controller. I already let them know what the issue was beforehand. It took the tech 5 minutes to confirm my suspicions. He went ahead and replaced my temp control unit and told me he is installing a programmable one. He also said he will not charge me full price. When it came to write the guy a check I was charges an 89.00 diagnosis charge.
The labor was 40.00 which I had no problem paying. The cost of the new thermostat was 120.00. I was a little taken back on the diagnosis charge. Later I looked up the cost of the thermostat. This brand and model sells from 95.00 to 100.00 on line. I feel I was taken advantage of. I later tried to email them but the email was kicked back so I faxed them a letter of my discontent.
I had no responses to my letter at all. After a week or so they cashed my check. Next time I need to do some homework on who I have work on my utilities. I just wish they would have reached out and had a conversation with me about this.

My heat pump stopped working and they told me it needed a new fan motor, come to find out it's still not working and they will not refund me for the fan motor because they want me to spend money I do not have to replace my entire heat pump (4000.00!)with them and they will credit the money to that balance. My husband is disabled and we are a low income family I can't afford to pay for their neglect. Do not go to them FYI I found a place that will install a new heat pump for less than the 369 they charged me for the fan motor.

In September I turned on the furnace and found out that the ignitor had gone bad. It was continually clicking and would not ignite the gas. The furnace was sensing that it was flooded with gas and would switch off like it's supposed to do. I removed the ignitor and took it down to A-Action to get a replacement part. Their site claims they have parts on hand.
When I got there they didn't have the part, and couldn't find it since I didn't have the furnace model and serial numbers. They asked me to email it to them and they would contact me back. I went home and did so. When I got back my wife pointed out that we had had this exact issue only two years ago and it cost us nearly $800 to fix then.
