We were very impressed with the level of service Sunset recently provided us for furnace maintenance and an issue with our heating. After setting up an appointment over the phone with Mary, who was very kind and quick in setting everything up, Noah arrived within a few hours. He was friendly, answered all our first-time homeowner questions, and did a thorough job checking out our furnace and diagnosing an issue with the thermostat.
He provided us a few different replacement options with different price points and was honest about the pros/cons of each of them. The price of the maintenance was waived since we purchased a new thermostat, so we really appreciate that value of service. We would definitely use Sunset again for future maintenance and HVAC needs!

Eric was fantastic - personable, thorough, he didn't rush or seem in a hurry. He answered all my questions and made you feel there were no stupid questions. He even tried to get me a better deal if I combined work (and succeeded). He explained my systems in detail, which are new to me since I'm from Southern California. Highly recommend him and if the company is as good as he is then I'd recommend them too!

We called Sunset this morning to come take a look at a smoking electrical switch we found in our house. They were able to send out Bailey Rotan within a few hours of us calling and she was able to address the problem and fix it for us quickly. She was great! We had a few problems after the AC was installed. Sunset couldn't have handled it better. Never charged us, sent as many people as it took. And in the end, a really smart fella named Cody spent two days at our house creating a whole new pathway for the AC. Really, really impressed by their customer commitment. And be sure to ask for Cody.he's as good as it gets.

Aside from one communication error early on in the process everything was great. The representatives who I spoke to on the phone were very pleasant. Noah did a great job with our repair estimate. They were really backed up, so, like others, my original appointment kept getting moved out hours, then days, then a week. But they had a cancellation today and were able to work me in, and Noah showed up right when he said he would, discussed the problem, consulted with his colleagues, and got me the repair estimate right away. He even cheerfully tolerated my too crazy dog jumping all over him! (The dog gets only two stars for her behavior, but Noah gets five!)

Sunset was able to fit me in next day as my AC just quit and was 87* inside my house. Shavon arrived in the time frame given and was wonderful, honest, spent extra time to find the exact problem and advocated for the next portion of service I needed the next day instead of the next week. Julian and Jake arrived on time with an upgraded unit. They were both very friendly, knowlegeable, efficient and within hours a whole new ac sytem, reconfigured the filter box and coil unit, installed an updated fuse box and thermostat.
And they loved on my big dogs; Wonderful field staff all the way around- this is great customer service that you cant find anymore! Thank you to all that were involved. Ishmael and Julian arrived on time and were so friendly efficient! Changed my filter, answered all my questions- i think it took them longer to drive from Portland in am traffic than it took them to complete the job!

We had a new Goodman air conditioning system installed and were very pleased with the work of John and Kai. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day and worked hard all day. I called Sunset Heating and Cooling yesterday morning regarding my A/C not cooling enough. The technician arrived sometime after 1PM and by 2PM, the house was starting to cool down. Last summer I had called another company regarding my A/C unit and all the person did was to say "the unit is low in feron" and "need a new coil" without ever researching the problem. I will use Sunset Heating and Cooling again.

He explained all my options - and we discussed both positive and negative aspects of each of my choices. There was no pressure. Nathan was great! Very knowledgeable, professional, amiable & didn't try to sell me the top of the line expensive heat pump. I told him my situation & he suggested one that fit my plan & budget. I love the 10 months, zero interest or payments. The technicians will be here on Monday to install it, just in time to have it running before the heat wave.

The technicians informed me of their impending arrival and they showed up on schedule. They were professional and friendly. After locating the old units, they went directly to work removing them. Justin answered our questions thoroughly and pleasantly. Upon completion of installing the new HVAC system, we were informed of what to expect upon each test of the system.
We were also informed of who to call should there be any questions or problems. They respected us, our property, and cleaned up all the debris. Both technicians are a credit to Sunset Heating and Cooling.

I needed to upgrade an outlet from a 15 amp to a 20 amp to be able to plug in my new spa. Aaron arrived promptly assessed the situation and gave me two choices as to how to proceed with the job. He was wonderful at educating me as to what the choices were, I had another company also giving me a bid for the same job and they came up twice as expensive as Sunset so I highly recommend Sunset heating and cooling. as well as Aaron Bishop he is top notch. Extremely happy with the professionalism and attitude of John and Kai. Very impressive young men. The overall experience with the company has exceeded our expectations. It started with a phone call to Robert who really started my comfort level with Sunset. I had already paid for an estimate; but I didn't feel comfortable with that experience. Robert created an appointment the day after I called and Matt was the tech that diagnosed our issue. He sold us on himself. He was authentic.
