TLDR - Not the best communication or installation experience. They needed to come back twice after the initial installation to fix cracks left in my ceiling - and they were not proactive with communication. I don't write many negative reviews, but my experience with Comfy was disappointing and I wouldn't work with them again. Before I get into the details, I'll say that the furnace system they installed works and passed inspection.
But before you have them work on your system, take before and after pictures. After getting a few estimates for a new hvac system, we chose Comfy due to cost and great Yelp and Google reviews. Austin came out for an estimate on Jan 25, 2022, and a team installed the our new furnace Feb 8-9. Here's when the disappointing communication starts. We didn't live at the house, and when they finished the installation, they didn't contact me at all.
I had to reach out to the technicians a day after the estimated completion date to ask if they were done, and they confirmed the work was complete. On 2/12, I go to the house to check the work, and I see really bad cracks on the wall where they had to cut for the gas line and on the ceilings where they installed vents. I was shocked. They didn't tell me about this at all. Yes, the walls are plaster, but how dare you leave my house in this condition and not tell me?!
On 2/14, I sent Austin pictures of the cracks, and he said he'll follow up. By 2/22, I hadn't heard from him, so I called the office and spoke to Angie, who scheduled someone to come fix the cracks. Finally. I would've appreciated more proactive communication from them. I also asked about the permit because I hadn't seen a permit, even though the installation was done.
When I finally got a copy of the permit, the application wasn't filed until 2/22. Shouldn't they get the permit before doing the work?! They need to better communicate every step of the process from installation to final inspection. After they fixed the cracks, I noticed that they didn't fix 2 other cracks, one where the bedroom vent is, and one where a brand new thermostat was installed, so I texted Austin again on 3/4.
He told me the technician said the crack was already there, and that you can see rounded edges in the crack and some paint, which indicates it's been like that. He also said that they had to cut the wall for the gas line but not for the thermostat. Ummm how TF did you guys install one without cutting the wall when there was nothing there before? BS.
I asked him that and he ignored it and said fresh cracks do not have paint or rounded edge. Also, why TF would I be okay with you guys installing a thermostat if there was a crack there? You can see in the picture that the crack starts where the thermostat is. Unfortunately, I don't have a before picture, so take what you will from this review. They did come back to fix the crack in the bedroom though.
One last thing that bugged me - I gave them the payment for the work after they fixed the last crack. Later that afternoon, I get a voicemail from them telling me I have to give them a check. How about double checking with your team first before calling me to ask for a check that I already gave? I also had to schedule the final inspection myself. Not sure if this is common. As you can see, my experience with Comfy wasn't great, and I hope this review helps.

From the initial visit to the installation of my new heater and air conditioner Comfy was a great experience. I had 3 bids andComfy's initial visit was very knowledgeable and right to the point, no mention of any unexpected possibilities once the work begins. This says a lot about a company. The installers Miguel, Jorge and Stanley were very professional and kind to work with.
They worked in my garage and afterwards left my garage immaculate, after the installation was completed they did a walk through with me and showed me exactly what was done, Miguel said they want to make sure I was happy with their work. And indeed I am. I recommend Comfy Heating and Air Conditioning highly.

Critical: Responsiveness Tech couldn't repair due to weather. I understand that. Said I'd get a call back to reschedule. Never happened. After waiting 3 days. Called back. Dispatch said have to wait 10 days. What a joke. Don't waste your time. Call someone reliable instead Service: Heating system repair

Call center does an excellent job. Service Rep finished the work but I questioned the timing. Part delay & pricing is unknown information to me. Things did not go as smoothly as possible (over a week) but am so far satisfied with outcome. I am suggesting Comfy provided a more detailed invoice for my records & warranty coverage.

I am a Builder and was asked to replace two aging units with two, new Carrier Infinity Units for a client. Comfy Heating and Air came in with a competitive price, brought in a great crew and made the changes flawlessly. They also recommended the duct work be reconfigured to deliver air flow more efficiently, with remarkable results. I have cycled through a number of HVAC contractors over the course of my career, with varying levels of success. Going forward, Comfy Air will be my first choice.

We are remodeling our house and asked Comfy to do an assessment of the current furnace and air conditioning. The service representative showed up on time, was courteous and explained what he was looking at and seeing. He also provided an estimate of the options for replacing the system. Would recommend this company.

Our 30plus year old furnace needed to be replaced or a major upgrade. We called a few places locally to start. One was way over price for a small house like ours and another was weeks away for a estimate. Luckily I called a family member if they new somebody. They did and that was Comfy heating and air conditioning. I called them and they responded right away.
I described what we wanted and they gave us two quotes that were right in our budget. They came to our house on time and were very professional in installing the furnace. They used drop Clothes in the work area and the finished furnace workmanship was very nice. I highly recommend them if you need hvac in your home.

Old ---- I got my AC and furnace installed from them a year back. It was very good experience considering that I asked them to service the furnace today. And guess what after servicing my furnace is not working. They charged 79 bucks to replace the filter and making it not work. And this is Saturday evening, I would have to be in cold all the weekend and don't know what gone bad and how soon it will be fixed.
For sure, I won't recommend them for servicing. --- EDIT: I am re-editing the review after the nice gesture from this company. They called and came on Sunday and checked my furnace and it was not issue with servicing, somehow thermostat was working with AC and fan but not with furnace. Seems something went wrong with nest. We replaced it and its start working.
Thanks for all the help, highly appreciate your help on weekend also. Considering the fact that it was a issue with Nest thermostat and not with servicing and your support on Sunday, I will give you the highest rating. A company, who value their customer opinion and understand their pain is always highly recommended and reliable.
