Taconic Heating & Cooling

I had an excruciating experience with taconic. Number one, good luck ever getting them to call you back. Number two, they came for a tune up and after they left, my air conditioning failed and had a huge leak from the system into my drip Pan. They told me they couldn't come back that day and made me wait through the long weekend. I finally got them to call me back and come by, the following week and they turned the system back on but didn't fix the leak.

I've been pulling buckets of water from my attic to keep my ac running. I cannot get taconic to cal me back for follow up service. I feel completely ripped off and cannot believe they've left me hanging with this leak. Highly recommend you go elsewhere. Karaco came to the rescue and fixed the leak and pipe. To this day, no returned phone calls from taconic, do not hire them.

We just recently had our boiler replaced and opted to go with Taconic Heating. I have to say what a really good company and great group of guys that work there. They showed up promptly and worked all day. I was explained everything before hand and in detail. From the service people to the installers all prompt, courteous, informative and detailed.

The office staff was also very helpful and very nice. There were some issues after the install with the boiler but Taconic Heating promptly showed up each time until they corrected the problem. I would highly recommend this company.

Frank, Mike and the installers at Taconic Heating & Cooling Corp were awesome to deal with. They installed a brand new AC system with duct work in my home. The installers were very nice and super clean! I expected a bit more "chaos" with a central AC install, but it was far from it. In fact, my wife and I worked from home as we regularly do while the team was doing their thing. Mike visited his crew often to make sure things were going smoothly. I recommend Taconic Heating & Cooling without reservation.

We called on a Monday because out AC motor was making a noise. They said they would be out on Friday, they came Monday afternoon. The tech that came was awesome. He quickly determined the problem and said he needed to order a new motor and it would take a day or two to get. He then called 30 min later to say they had one in stock and would be back the next day to install it.

He was here at 9am the next day and had it fixed in under an hour. Taconic is outstanding, they could have stayed with what they said as far as coming out Friday and taking a couple of days to get a part, but instead they went above and beyond to fit us in earlier and to make the effort to check their inventory. I highly recommend them!

BEWARE --- the signs on their trucks should read Sales and SELECTIVE Service! Five stars to the installers, 0 stars to sales and 0 stars to service. In Dec 2018 we spent upwards of $14k for a new oil furnace and central A/C. We were between them and another local company. We chose Taconic and the installers were great. They advised us to be sure and register our Carrier units for the 10 year warranty and they guarantee their work for one year. One-two weeks after the install, we saw oil leaking, and they sent a man in chinos to make an adjustment.

We use the furnace only for heat in the winter. At fourteen months, the furnace was running poorly, smelt like burnt oil (we never ran out and it was cleaned), and sounded as if it was misfiring. We called Taconic to pay for a service call and repair and to our utter dismay, they do not service oil-furnaces! I'm still shocked, they do not service what they install beyond one year.

When looking for a company, you assume you're developing a long-term relationship --- they know you, their equipment and workman, your house etc - but not with Taconic. They leave you high and dry. IF YOU NEED an oil-furnace installed, go elsewhere, they do not tell you verbally nor include in their contract that they do not service their installed oil--furnaces beyond one year.

You may find this funny.while speaking with them to schedule an appointment for no heat on a cold day, while the furnace was off, requiring a smoky reset, they offered to schedule an A/C service appointment! Hindsight is clear, our monies should have been spent elsewhere.

WOW! Best service experience! I had originally scheduled a tune up and the night before my appointment my A/C stopped working. I called Taconic that morning and they switched out technicians. Gino and Chris came - did the tune up, checked the units and found and fixed the problem all in the same appointment! I immediately signed up for a maintenance agreement - so happy I found Taconic. THANK YOU!

Gino is very professional and knowledgeable. He explained the possibility of a future repair. He told me how to be prepared and to call as soon as I can if that happens. He gave me an estimate and gave us the next annual contract to sign up for. All in all we are very satisfied with your company.

Taconic Heating and Cooling Company has been wonderful. Gino and Sean were the professionals who came to my home and took care of my issues in a most professional way. They explained to me in lay men's terms what they were doing and were methodic and expedient. They left my home the same way they found it and were easy to talk to. I would recommend them very highly for all your heating and cooling problems
