When my air conditioner stopped working, Dan Goss responded quickly to my plea for help. (He had fixed my furnace 18 months earlier). Dan offered to work on Memorial Day and I was very pleased with the quality of service and reasonable price. Dan fixed the capacitor, did diagnostics to determine I needed more refrigerant and installed a new thermostat.

He explained everything and made suggestions for making my unit run more efficiently. At no time did he try to "up-sell" me on anything, which I really appreciated. Dan is also pleasant company! I heartily recommend Comfortman for all air conditioning and heating issues.

Dan at Comfortman was the only person to answer my call on the first Sunday after the temperatures started to drop and our heat wouldn't come on. He came as quick as he could and he was extremely personable. It turned out to be a quick fix and he charged us a very fair price. Dan was great. He has an answering service that takes calls when he's under a house somewhere, they were very professional, bright and cheery. And so was Dan, who called me within five minutes of me leaving a message. He asked a few questions to help narrow down the problem. Then he showed up 15 minutes later and we had AC within an hour. Very good manners, made good conversation, genuinely interested in us. Great guy.

Dan Goss' company has been taking care of my home in Embry Hills since 1999. When I first met Mr. Goss his business was called DeKalb CARE and many in our area still know it as that. Now as the Comfortman team, they continue to exceed expectations in several important ways. Dan's a down-to-earth good guy, good father, good husband, and a good neighbor.

I could tell he was trustworthy from the get-go. He saves me money, even when he could make a bundle just bending the rules a little. He showed me a problem he'd diagnosed and how he could fix it fairly easily; then he explained another repair option; he explained that some HVAC techs would steer me to replacing a major part at great expense, but he was confident the minor repair was all I would need now and the system could perform for years just as -is.

Time has proven he was right. He's always prompt and his work seems pretty quick & efficient, and the same goes for the employees I've met over these years. Huge thank you to Comfortman. I called Sunday morning and by Sunday evening we had our AC completely repaired (and at no costly weekend charge I might add ). I really appreciated their communication skills and responsiveness. Dan was patient and knowledgeable while explaining each issue to us. What a nice guy! Dan arrived on time, was very professional and courteous. He set about doing what I needed and then we had a nice chat about my HVAC issues. He wasn't pushy about what needed to be done and just let me know the facts (even showing me pictures he took of the issue). He knew his limitations and gave me a great referral to resolve my issue. Dan the Comfort Man. We called him after 5 pm. He very kindly came by on his way home to examine our heater who's fan had seized up. He confirmed my husbands diagnosis and came back the next morning with the parts and tools necessary to fix our furnace. The repair was not inexpensive, but quite a bit less expensive than some of the other quotes. We weren't even charged for his diagnosis time. He was friendly, efficient, helpful and knowledgeable. It was quick and fairly painless. I definitely will call him for anything related to my heating and air in the future.
