We have been customers of Stark and Cronk for more than 25 years. That have been one of the most consistently reliable, competent and pleasant service providers we have ever dealt with. This week they responded within an hour to our call for service for our boiler that stopped working. Highly recommend this company. Service: Heating system repair

We discovered a leak in our cellar and called Stark & Cronk based on a personal referral and we are very pleased. Between the excellent communication from the office and the timely, friendly, and knowledgeable service we received, we will definitely be using Stark & Cronk for our plumbing needs in the future.

I have been a customer of Stark & Cronk for over 4 decades. They are AWESOME! If you want your plumbing or heating issues fixed right the first time, nearly every time, this is the company for you. On the off occasion that your repair or maintenance doesn't work right the first time (rare!) I can guarantee that they will immediately return to make sure it's right!. Stark and Cronk is a family business of generations.
They treat their employees and clients like family too. They may not be the cheapest price but you get the best service and you get what you pay for. You can not go wrong with Stark & Cronk! I Love Stark & Cronk!

We had a new heating system installed in September. Greg Stark explained our options and helped us select a system for our home. Greg was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. Always available for questions. His technicians were on time, polite, efficient and neat. Every step was explained to us. And all time lines were met. I recommend Stark and Cronk as an efficient well run plumbing and heating business.

Stark and Cronk is a solid company for heat outages and plumbing repairs. They are fairly priced for emergency calls. BUT, they are WAY over priced for new plumbing. As for heating and air conditioning, they are WAY over priced. Greg loves to set up complex heating projects and sell you things that you don't need. You know that 98% efficient system that saves $20 per year, but costs $10,000 extra! That's great because nobody else in area will repair the systems he puts in. Better of to call a fairly priced contractor.

Both because my family had used Stark and Cronk for decades and because finding a decent heating and cooling company and a good plumber is so tough around here, I used them as well despite EVERY project that i have had them do or consider them for has required having owner Greg Stark call and then come out just to look things over. Greg refuses to timely return calls, and the process described above has taken at least six months. Again, this is despite my family giving the firm regular business throughout the years.
On top of this work has been very expensive and not very efficient. My first home was my family's 50s-era home. The hot water tank looked large enough, but I never had enough hot water to both take a roughly 10-minute shower and shave. Wanting to avoid buying a new hot water heater, I had Greg FINALLY out to the house. He had a rather complex system of pipes and a thermostat installed that I recall cost at least $500 in 2001.
He asserted that it would help increase the length of time that I would have hot water, but it did not do a bit of good. I also had S & C install a gas fireplace in my new home; I recall that that took an entire year. The remote stopped working after a few years, and a valve leaked soon after. The same timeframe existed recalling a problem related to the flow of heat and a/c from the system in the same home as the fireplace. Greg proposed installing an expensive fan to blow air through the ducts.
Two subsequent heating and a/c companies and a friend who is an engineer all agreed that the fan would not have been effective. I recently called S & C to fix a job that another HVAC company botched. Jen at S&C initially told me that S&C would do the very simple project. She also gave me a slight run around regarding claims both that the work would not be done for a month and regarding an assertion that she first had to determine which technician would do the work.
When i called back, Jen told me that Greg was refusing to do the work. A good HVAC guy and plumber does have value but is hardly the celeb that Greg Stark apparently believes himself to be, On top of that, the quality of his work on detailed projects does not seem to justify his high prices.

Over the years I have used several plumbers for work on my home. I was never very satisfied. Last year I called Stark & Cronk to take care of a minor plumbing issue. What a difference compared to previous companies I had used. They were very professional, competent and courteous from the telephone call to the time they finished. Later in the year last year, I hired them to convert my heating system from oil to gas heat.
They installed a high-efficiency gas boiler. I could not be more please with their professionalism. Now, if you are looking for the lowest price, it probably isn't going to be Stark & Cronk. They actually were the highest of four quotes I obtained for the heating system conversion; however, it was clear to me that were absolutely the most competent. Also, on the smaller jobs, they are in and out, so you're not paying for wasted time.
